Mey, please please stop being this amazing! I am binge watching your videos for hours instead of working or sleeping, why are you doing this to me? I very rarely feel a connection like this, hope we meet one day somewhere in the world. Sending lots of love and good vibes your way 💛
This video impacted me in more ways than I can mention, my biggest takeaway that I want to adopt to my Mindset is "Everything can be easy, I just need to figure out to make it easy". Lesson 20 is a bittersweet one for me, I've always found Kindness to be my easiest trait, but since I got sick 6 years ago I've been battling with it because I discovered that I really didn't have enough boundaries & I was allowing people to drain me for all I know & can help with. It's so easy for me to be kind to strangers, but now most of the time I protect my energy from those who have been close to me out of self-preservation. Bte, this is like a Life Skills Skillshare Class 🎯💯🌟💞
I know. about the lesson 20 being bitter sweet. I have been taken advantage so many times for my kindness. Recently had to face some of my "friends" actualizing as users who just wanted my help and faked their kindness back. There's a card in the tarot deck, the fool. He gives love to everyone, gives trust- gets hurt, yet does it again. It's one of my favorit cards, and I think down the line I realized that I maybe don't want to change that about myself. Maybe I can't. Recent example: someone living here in my coliving that crosses my boundaries, shame me on my ADHD, literally shuts me up so I listen to them and their issues - for bloody 3 hours, to the point where they go home texting me how useful I was to them, and me crashing into forced sleep for 8 hours unable to even think straight. Yet, that person shows up in an event, and I smile and be kind, even though i kinda wanna punch them in the face. Dang, living in a coliving is sooo not for me LOL One of the main pages in my vision book, which I finally finished !!- is about the people I need to avoid. I look at it now everytime that person reaches out to me. It helps like 50% of the time, not a perfect solution. You're def not alone with feeling like an IV for others. Maybe that's the kindest thing I can say at the moment :) And yeah, skillshare is the best thing ever LOL
Due to the time difference, this video was originally on as a Premier at 11 a.m. What an AWESOME way to kick off my week. Great video, as always. Every time i watch you, I learn something. Or many things. Sometimes it is a "Wow, I never thought of that" and sometimes it is a "Oh, yeah. I can do that", but it is always something. Thank you.
Can I have examples? (I'm griddy in the morning) What was one thing that made you realize you've never thought of this, and what's one thing that made you say- I can do that ??
@@MeyTribe - The biggest "I never thought of that" thoughts came from the platforms that you mentioned that I'd never heard of or thought of putting things on if I had heard of them (Redbubble, Fine Art America, Zazzle come to mind), as well as LOADS of items other than T-shirts (and a few other clothing items) that I could put things on, AND that designs that could be on one item (say a T-shirt just for fun) could be tweaked a teeny bit and be on another such as a sticker. My "I can do that" thought came from watching you design patterns. Before watching you I had NO clue how someone would design a pattern that could go all over something unless they manually repeated a pattern and sized it to the specific item (manually, not electronically). I'm sure there are more "Aha!" moments that I've had, but those are the ones that immediately come to mind.
@@MeyTribe - forgot to mention the using a photograph (which I love to take and take lots of) as a starting point and then using elements from Creative Fabrica or Canva to make an original design or art piece.
@@pvg1236 Happy to get that detail (almost missed your replies , Dang RUclips notification) - and I am happy you're learning that POD is so many things, not just RB or tshirts :) and yeah, patterns are a world of fun !!

🤩 Thanks so much for your rawness! I love it. Goodness me, I think we all have a journey whether it's online or from an office cubicle. It takes guts to make a change! And here 2020 was my push into the online world. I no longer think emails from Russia or China, any foreign country for that matter are scams. It's life now! 😊 Your journey is a true inspiration and I'm only starting more avenues of online streams now... I kinda missed a few boats and ships. 🤣 Thanks to you Mey for making it possible and sharing truth about what is possible - instead of being scared about it 😔 Be blessed girl! 🦄
Thank you so much, Mey! I've been looking for an "outside the box" video to help with ideas. I'm impressed with your skill set and how adaptable you are! Hope you're feeling good today.
I consider your videos as one of my learning experiences. I drive an hour (in good traffic) each way to work and your views are very informative and I can listen to them on my commute. I only wish you did mentoring/coaching etc as well. Your approach and story telling style content are excellent and I am glad I found your channel. Best to you and thank you.
Awww that's so cool ! There are times were I think that making videos without a design tutorial wouldn't really help much, as I am just talking- but since you're "watching" from the car, that's kinda cool to know that it does help someone, those non-design tutorials LOL (I actually got that comment, of watching while commuting before, so cool seeing people around the world taking any chance they got to try and learn, I love it !!!) As mentioned, I used to do that full time in the past, but now, I often find that RUclips helps me help more people while also clearing more time for me to go about my own shops. However, message me on Facebook? give some more details on what you need and I will see if I can help out, or even give you some pointers :) (My name on FB is Maya Mey Aroyo)
I'm so impressed with your skill set. I'm so grateful for this channel. It really has helped me so much. I'm learning all the time, but I feel it may take awhile to get where I need to be. Your videos help me to keep moving forward and not give up. So, thank you 🙂
Thank you so much for sharing your online entrepreneur journey. I've been a freelance writer and editor for ten years now, and hearing other people talk about having similar experiences and struggles makes me feel seen and understood. Also, it's me. I'm the fabric lady!! Beyond excited about that video! I'm also glad that somebody else went down the Epic print-on-demand fabrics rabbit hole cuz I'm still descending.
Was there something you knew how to do ? I mean, i did mention a lot of things. I think it's not just about smart, but also time, and learning everyday for a long period of time. If there's nothing here you know how to do.. what's the one thing you wish to learn more about? :)

Oww that's a nice thing to say :) I am glad I started a channel too, been wanting to do that 4 years prior to actually starting, but hey- timing is everything I guess.
You life is fascinating and challenging! Thank you for giving us a wider picture of where you are coming from and who you are! I particularly want to hear ideas on how to prime the pump - you need to draw traffic from outside to get the site to start promoting. I am not on FB and I really doubt I can Instagram my way to fame - multiple daily posts gives me anxiety just contemplating it. :) It's possible I could revisit some of these if I felt that I was moving in the right direction but right now I am still gathering information from knowledgeable people such as yourself. Thank you for your great and insightful content!
Love listening to your thoughts and story Mey! Love the vulnerability! You have lots of experience which is so interesting to hear about! Keep up the amazing work! 🌼💚
