    I have a muscular dystrophy. (Total loss of calve muscles) It's people like you that will be able to improve my quality of life. Thank you:) some day I will play basketball again and go on long walks with my wife. I am still able to walk, but going up steps is super hard and I can only be on my feet for 15 min or so before total leg exhaustion.

      bowieinc Damn that sucks, hold tight brother, i dont think it will take too long before these become
      a real thing!
      I wish you all the luck in the world!

      You should collaborate with engineers and help make this tech more accessible to those who truly need it

    Perhaps hydraulic systems make the joints more independents, taking power where more confortable

    you could also have a pulley system on the back just to lighten the load and wont require it being electric powered or any thing

    RESPECT, that was intuitive genius, things have changed since last time I was at your channel. You make the best use of time and people can't get enough of your channel. what are you? Mechanical / robotics engineer?
    Please keep the good work.

    Dude I love your work. no lie. there is two types of knowledge. You can experience something or you can learn something. strange. If I read about history then I might learn several things... but I dont know what it feels like. I love your exploration of the exoskeleton. unfortunately there are many out there begging for gov contract support. the people bidding on it will not know what it feels like to operate the exoskeleton. they will make their decision based on features. Knowledge. They do not see your artistic flare.

    man you've caught my imagination ... so awesome. its almost feels like your the spiritual successor of the wright brothers. No way i can build or have the energy for such amazing machine.
    -
    looking at the design i'm wondering. What happens if the machine breaks while your carrying a load of heavy weight? that could be fatal for humans. which brings the following point, are you considering some safety gadgets to counter such event ?
    Again love your work man, so brilliant

    *APPLAUSE* Thank you for posting this video! Total Thumbs Up! I will be drawing heavily on your research for my Exos project. Have you considered using 12 or 18 volt cordless tool batteries for on-board power, or supplementing the cable runs with a linear actuator? Individual units would not have to be very powerful, and linear actuators may provide some of the structural support.

    • @MrTeslonian
      @MrTeslonian  9 лет назад +1

      +Cheryl MacKenzie The cordless tool battery powered unit was what started this project, I used a Dewallt impact driver for the power plant and a drill winch for the gearing it was attached to a aluminium back pack frame. This worked great for small task operation, and gave me the idea to beef it up with real winches. Good luck on your Exo-Suit.

    You could make it better by having a car battery on the back power it. Also, you could have it move your hands too instead of using hooks. It could also have motion sensors that turn small movements into powered ones instead of controllers.

    Love the cable and pulley system ! I really want to see a more portable version the hydraulic idea mite be the way to go on the next prototype ?

    • @MrTeslonian
      @MrTeslonian  9 лет назад

      +Michael Levesque The suit weigh's in under 100 pounds and the video shows a 360-380 pound total lift capability until the light weight material gave way, with the proper material's to hold for the strength of the winch's, the power to weight ratio is very high with this design. Each individual arm and leg has the potential for a 500lb. dead lift and 2000lb. drag, that equals an incredible strength to weight ratio.

    • @MrTeslonian
      @MrTeslonian  9 лет назад

      +Michael Levesque Think about it like this for every 16-20lb. winch you get 500lb. of lift or 2000lb. of drag, add a few more pulleys and loop the cable a few more times and the strength to weight go's through the roof.

    Could you please make instructions for how to make it? I have muscular dystrophy (my body cannot produce enough protein) and sometimes my legs hurt so bad that I cannot walk. I also love building machines.

    Dear Mr. Teslonian, was thinking about your Wimshurst Generator, Why couldn't you add the (Nightnol spring) to the generator using a cam to spin it? Their is a"RUclips" science teacher spinning a wheel using the wire in hot and cold water. Check it out. If you can't find it, I'll look for it and give you the link.I was talking with my neighbor, look up (Brandon's Tree House on Face Book) his son is disabled, I was telling him about your Exoskeleton suit, man that would give him a whole new outlook on life if you could ever get it to help him just walk on his own.Thank You Tony
