- It's not clickbait.. new tail lights for the 1er! She's coming along, slowly but surely! In this video I install LCI LED tail lights on 2009 BMW 135i. These updated tail lights come, from factory, on the 2012 and 2013 year models. I'm glad we finally got these because my oh my do they make a difference! Definitely giving off that Fx chassis/newer BMW look. They're direct plug and play for the previous models so if you're in the market to revive the look on your 1-Series BMW be sure to grab some for yourself. Anyways, enjoy the video! Don’t get me wrong…. they look good but…. especially when you have a black E82, why did you not go for these exact lights but the Blackline version?
I wanted to actually but I couldn’t get a discounted price on those!

How comes you didnt go for the darklines? This seems to be the regular facelifts to me, not darklines?
I think the bright red stands out with the black, just my opinion!

I love the original 09 LED taillights in my 135! I don’t know why everyone changes them?
The previous owner of my car did the LCI tail light swap and I just installed the first gen ones again, I think they look sick, very retro-vibes, makes me want to listen to synthwave and drive fast on the Autobahn.

Amazon, they’re really cheap quality though they’re starting to peel off so I put the stock ones on for now
I have a 2010 convertible and my off side light has a.chipboard inside,.with two wires going into the end bulb cluster, so it doesn't work. Any ideas as ive got these?

I have these lights & tried to fit them. Passenger one was fine, but the divers side didn't work. Apparently my old ones which are the same as what you had in, well the drivers one had two wires inside on the end light holder which lead to a chipboard inside the light. I presume yours didn't have this, as you just plugged them in & they worked
