I'm pretty confident that they will do the carry on consequences. Don'tNod seems to care about it's fans and they take time to giving us good games. They haven't disappointed me so far with their releases.
If you're actually expecting a free, optional, standalone teaser to significantly impact the main game, you're going to be disappointed, my friend. Expect some flavor dialogue or small cosmetic changes to carry over, then you can be pleasantly surprised if it's something more than that.

Are you saying Max tapped into some kind of supernatural speed force and is thus connected to this family and all other people who have these powers. It would explain why Max also saw Rachel.

Honestly this sounds great! I love the idea of expanding the LiS universe and learning about other people in it. I also love that we can have a distracton for the real game that sounds like it needs more time. So as long as this game is full and complete enough to be its own game I'm happy. Ok. I have a lil theory. In this theory, time doesn't matter. I believe that Chris created the superpowers, then gave them to Rachel on his death to try and save her life. But this actually backfires, as the teacher (forgot his name) inherits it after killing her (its possible for him to kill a time traveler with his drug). As rachel dies, she decides to pass it onto Max, who might be able to save her life. However, as each person passes on the powers, they weaken, and max ends up creating a whirlwind as a result.

Yes, just outside of Portland, and just east of Oregon City. They don't get much snow (unless the whole Portland area gets snow, usually once every few years), as the elevation is too low.

Okay I have a theory. What if max is the mother and further In the game you find out how she died. Plus the pictures of Chris's mom have brown short-ish hair, same hair as max. Maybe it could be right or very wrong

Dontnod won’t be going back to max caulfield and other characters as they want to get a new story and it will be set in a new place as well.

Ok. I have a lil theory. In this theory, time doesn't matter. I believe that Chris created the superpowers, then gave them to Rachel on his death to try and save her life. But this actually backfires, as the teacher (forgot his name) inherits it after killing her (its possible for him to kill a time traveler with his drug). As rachel dies, she decides to pass it onto Max, who might be able to save her life. However, as each person passes on the powers, they weaken, and max ends up creating a whirlwind as a result.
This is after the first LiS , 3 years later, LiS2 is probably even further down the road
