You know the case is crazy when the prosecutor ragequits.
Especially a prosecutor as calmful and sane like Blackquill
well, it's understandable

@@rewrittenbytes1616 well.. I would say something but I don’t wanna spoil anything so.. just continues watching the series to find out

+Quinzoid_Ghost becuase the original attornetey game, PW:AA, takes place in 2017, and this game (i think....?), Takes place 7-11 years after that, Spirit!

athena: poor detective fulbright. i hope he returns to work with all his body parts intact.
Why does this remind me of gumshoe?

Hah! I never noticed it before, but Taka goes wide-eyed whenever Blackquill slams on his desk.
Has been noticed in previous cases, like, many times. I noticed that and found it fancy.
11:14
Taka doesn’t why the importance of the lawyer slam
Blackquill: ./(‘n’)./
Taka: 0-0
Taka isn’t qualified to be in a courtroom if they don’t constantly maintain a neutral expression while lawyers are slamming their desks.
Hugh was just so misunderstood. Poor guy. I really feel for him. So glad Junie and Robin were also real friends!
I always liked Hugh, even though he's kinda a jerk at first. I felt SO bad for him by the end of the trial, the poor doof, lol. This whole trial was quite touching really. I freaking love this game!
I know this is old but i agree to ya
Ye me too
Blackquill just went "FTS I’m out!" when Athena decided to use a therapy session.
well if I was blackquill I would do that same, that testimony is eight sorts of idiotic

"No funny business"? Your Honor, this is the Wright Anything Agency we're talking about. Funny business is their bread and butter!
Athena: "Okay, all that's left now is to reach out to the truth!"

But which one doe.?
Four..
Persona 4.
The main theme of the game was Reach Out To The Truth.
Her persona would be the goddess Athena
I FACE OUT, I HOLD OUT-
@@lucasperez253 or minerva, the roman goddess of wisdom

This scene with Fulbright is beautiful.
"Oh wait..."
25:33 FULL SCENE TIMESTAMP
Fwahaha. Cykes Brigade. Somehow, I doubt that was unintentional, since Athena is voiced by Wendee Lee, who was the voice of Haruhi Suzumiya, the head of the SOS Bridage, which directly referenced Ace Attorney at one point for an entire scene.
Her voice reminds of Miu Iruma from Danganronpa V3
i wonder why Juniper's stars costume looks so much like Lamiroir's. It's like they're hitting an appearance of Apollo's mom in the next cases and...nope
Plot Twist *hinting
She even chose to sing The Guitar's Serenade. Capcom's reminiscing.
Too bad klavier's guitar didn't burst into flames
I enjoy seeing Athena and Blackquill threaten O'Connor 33:00-33:31
Now, out with it! *_Did you truly witness the body?!_*
Athena: But maybe the pottery blood isn't the victim's!
Blackquill: Oh please! You think I'd bring up the bloody pottery if I didn't know that it was the victim's? *calls up Fulbright*
Fulbright: ....ehehehehe about the blood....
Blackquill: ...oh my fucking god...

Simon is SO DONE with this trial.
57:25 I cry when he cry. OMG PHOENIX WRIGHT YOU HAVE GROWN UP SOOOO FAST!,!!!

Ikr? everyone's voice in this game so far just seems so off... even Hugh's voice seems so immature for a 25 year old...
Yeah, that cry was weird
I guess it tries to represent that he is puny?
Dang BlackQuill basically said "Im tired of your bullshit O' Connor" and left the server with Fulbright

Hugh O'Connor is my new favorite ace attorney character without a doubt, I relate to him on a personal level. I lucked out when it came to my high school graduation, none of my teachers thought I could do it, I didn't think I could do it, the only one who believed in me was my mom and I somehow made it.
Haha, same with me, except everyone probably doubted me, even myself. Of course a certain virus helped me graduate, though
It's *always* 7 years, man!

Shut up, fool- *Taka* uses Fury Attack.
Super effective.. What!?! Blackquill is evolving
You got a Harvey birdman lawyer
Funny, in the recent TF2 Halloween Comic, it's revealed the Soldier is a Lawyer ... in Guam.
This episode is a second time the Prosecutor has leave the court in middle of the trial (first time was tutor level), and third one would be doing it again in ending/credit (Payne escaped once again - I wouldn't spoil for the one who haven't know about this).
Apollo: Easy there, tiger.
Me: I swear I've heard that before somewhere…
@Andi Farida Rafiqa No. He calls Mia "kitten", And calls Furio Tigre "tiger"
the last time we had to look at someone's neck, the person had scars from being chocked.. and she was the killer..
This is one of the most emotional cases since Bridge to the Turnabout.
That cutscene was so sad, it fits perfectly.
Hugh: my parents were the reason for my perfect grades
Sebastian: first time?
That voicecrack scream tho...
i don't know why people always leave comment before watching the video until the end. At least watch before asking questions, dude
I always knew that stupid Prof. Means was the Killer.
Even though Hugh may be a bit crazy around 38:50,surprised he got overwhelming happiness, should have added a 5th icon called "Crazy"which means how much the witness feels like going berserk.
56:58
thats quite emotional.i almost cried ;-;
This is one of my favourite cases in the series. Glad to have the opportunity to watch it again.
The friendship bands anime cutscene brought me in tears man.
I think I'm gonna try some Chords of Steel for myself
That voice crack tho, Hugh gotta work on his chords of steel.
"A most roundabout trial, I much prefer the turnabout variety myself." Did Blackquil just reference the series' Japanese name?
+Derek Chang Speaking of which, I never understood why Wright has a reputation for turning those cases on its head and bluffing his way through. Judge speaks of that, Kristoph mentioned that as a grudge towards Wright in the fourth game and so on.
But, isn't that pretty much the only way the defence can win the trial in the way they are shown in the game? Lawyers need to back up every claim the make with evidence (which they shouldn't have anyway, as they theoretically aren't allowed on the crime scene), while prosecutors can influence witnesses, pull theories without any back up and even if it was already proven that the crime could not be commited by the defendant or that there are other possible suspects, judge and prosecutor are quick to jump to "defendant is guilty" is defence fails to show evidence for even a small, barely relevant claim.
@@acetylen42 five years late to reply to this and sorry for that. But if you only know about the trials and law from this game, then you've got it all wrong. This game is called "ACE attorney" for some reason. The ace means excellent or A+, which means more than just a normal lawyer. They are called ACE attorneys because they are successful not only in defending their clients but also finding the true culprits at the same time. Realistically, some lawyers can only prove their clients to be not guilty without finding the real culprits (oh trust me, it can happen). Which left the cases unsolved cases.
For example, the DL-6 case. It took almost 15 years to get solved and to get the true killer be brought to justice, thanks to the rookie attorney and the protagonist, Phoenix Wright. Because why? Because the decisive evidence couldn't be found for the whole time! There are many cases still unsolved in this world, realistically speaking.
SPOILERS FOR THE GAME RIGHT AHEAD
3:05 I like to think that "Fulbright" being confused as hell with Simon's punishment thinking it's a walk in a park because you would think that the Phantom is trained to withstand pain like no others
Hugh o'connor... i know how it is, to love someone so much that you would do anything for them.....
Notice how at 22:50 to 23:10 you could hear blackquil smash after the banner presentation
i wasn't a big fan of Apollo on his own game but now he rocks! they got a whole defense dream team!!
15:02 "No, Prosecutor Blackquill! Please, don'!"
"Please, don'!"
"don'!"
TYPO
everyone went from "stupid fulbright" to "poor fulbright"
This is without a doubt one of my most favorite cases in The series
WHERE THE HELL ARE THESE FEELS COMING FROM
58:51
Nice one, Blackquill.
When Hugh "confessed," I just lost it.
15:30 lol, that makes me think of a scene from SpongeBob:
"Hey, I just thought of something funnier than 24!"
"Lemme hear it."
"Twenty-five!" XD
So Hugh has parents that bribed the school for better results... kinda reminds me of Sebastian
This whole 'Number 1 to worthless' scenario has already happened once before.
If ya know who I'm talking about.
Uh, Manfred Von Karma...?
“I’ll be running a tight ship here today, no funny business from anybody”
That sure didn’t happen
57:15 how did he get it around his neck without breaking it
Robin probably measured their wrist, neck, and arm before making them.
I'd imagine that they'd have a snap or bend in the back for taking them off. Or, the hands themselves act as a snap.

Me: "In a world where someone became a prosecutor at _thirteen,_ I wouldn't be so sure".
I like those "easy here, tiger" remarks from Apollo. If only Diego could hear him...
Wait a minute.
I hope I'm not the only one who missed the subtle throwback at 45:37.
A lawyer in blue, prosecutor in a red-ish color, maroon I think it's called.
Looks like Wright and Edgeworth. I never thought about it till I saw the picture then.
You're right. All "lawyer" students wear blue, and all prosecutor students wear red. The mock trial script even says the prosecutor jumpsuits are red. I think it is a subtle nod to Phoenix and Miles, but it could also be to Gavin too, since he was the invited prosecutor opposite Phoenix and he wears red too. Who knows...? I do love the subtle reference though. This game is awesome! :D
this poor old man only has 2 teenage girls for friends...
15:02 "No, Prosecutor Blackquill! Please don'!" Ah, typos.
25? Damn, O'Conner one hell of a flunk!
Those proofs of friendship.... what material are they made of?
If it was like pottery or something like that, how did Hugh manage to wear it around his neck if it doesn't stretch?
If conner cornered, It more like Hugh o' corner
Wait his is on his neck like a collar, Newman is a girl, Newman gave him the collar, so.... Kinky unconfessed love? I suppose it would make sense Newman would be the Maaaaaan in the relationship.

You cant see them but in Xcom the aliens can see and shoot you through that wall
Man, you've gotta feel bad for Hugh... finds out about his parents paying for his perfect scores, and then he thinks he's lost his friends... just generally not a good time for the guy...
Hugh's breakdown was probably because he's actually happy to have friends...
It's been playing for everyone else as far as I know.
No, he's a lawyer in Teufort. He's a priest in Guam.
that was a very manly cry, there.

Okay... Is Blackquill ridiculously strong or are those shackles absurdly shoddy? Even the ... "sturdier" ones.
this day is probably the last one. Most Phoenix games don't extend past the second trial day
I'll admit, when I saw that cutscene months before the game came out (without any sort of context) I thought it was too cheesy for the series. Now that I've actually played through it, it makes TOTAL SENSE.
Though I still think Hugh crying out was pretty weak.
Dude can shoot a damn bow using only one arm, come on you are not worthless, just happened to choose the wrong major.
