There are so many questions surrounding the end times. What exactly does the millennium look like, is there going to be a pre-tribulation rapture, Who is the antichrist and where will he come from? Well, our friend Ken Fish is coming on the show to answer one of the more mysterious eschatological questions, What is the abomination of desolation? Ken thinks he has the answer.
Ken tracks the prophecy from Daniel all the way into church history. The discussion spans issues of the temple mount the religion of Islam the nature of the temple as well as the sacrificial system discussed in the prophecy. Did the Knights Templar establish or did it happen when the Dome of the rock was established in the Middle Ages?
Dispelling the common idea that the first reference of the prophecy was about the Seleucid king Antiochus Epiphanes IV, who ruled Palestine from 175-64 B.C. When Antiochus l came to suppress a rebellion, his forces entered the temple, he stopped the regular sacrifices, set up an idol for Zeus, and offered swine there as a sacrifice. This is an abomination because it is idolatry, and it brings desolation because it defiles the holy place at the heart of Israel. But does it fit the time line? I've only made it 5 minutes in..but the question about genetic disease healing made have to comment..I have been healed of a protein S and protein C deficiency ..it's a blood issue that causes DVT and circulatory embolisms...I couldn't really afford the medication and constant doctor appointments and lab work..so I believed for healing..went through some painful and crazy times but I just gave it all to the Lord and trusted for His outcome and Hallelujah I am healed..I haven't gone back to the doctor to have it validated because of cost but I live without all the physical symptoms that were definitely killing me.. :) just had to share that.. Interesting take... I think it's important to hear different perspectives on this issue of the Abomination of Desolation.
Dear brothers... Sorry... There is nothing in that mount right now. The VAIL was rent when Jesus died on the cross and the glory departed. For the Abomination of Desolation to be fullfilled there has to be a consecrated temple with a Holy of holies and the sacrifice reinstated. That's why Jesus said: 'let him that readeth understand'... Now, the dear brother is a man of God, and just like he is mistaken we all might be also. The gift of healing and miracles has nothing to do with our exegesis of escathological matters, neither with our salvation. Blessings!!!

Some say what is called the temple Mount is actually the site of the Roman fort Anatolia and not where the temple actually stood. The Temple, it is said, was actually in the city of David 600 yards south of the so called temple mount.

According to the writings of Josephus, Titus used Fort Antonia as his base of operations on the day the Jewish temple was destroyed.
Josephus also said Fort Antonia was built upon a gigantic rock. That rock still bears witness to the true location of the fort. That gigantic rock now lies under "The Dome of the Rock".

He’s mixing hyper literal interpretations with symbolic interpretations without much to go on and very much misrepresents why people consider Daniel to be speaking about Antiochus.

Especially if you’re going to espouse an eschatology with 20 years left till it’s fulfilled and just attribute the theory to “many Rabbis in conversation”...

I would suggest that his stories of healing, if true, give credence to his ideas about scripture. We can't discount him just because his interpretation of a notoriously and probably intentionally opaque genre of literature disagrees with ours.
Also, he doesn't say Jesus comes back then, just that the countdown ends. All Daniel seems to say is "blessed is he who endures", so where is it clear what actually happens?

I once heard an amillennial Presbyterian pastor say he thought the abomination was when the preists restarted the sacrifices in a temple built using money donated by American dispensationalists when Jesus had already paid for the sins of both groups.
The guest's fundamental mode of analysis, is still very much dispensational, in that he tries to attributes specific dates to the Daniels prophesies. Furthermore, there are several serious theological failures, there is in an assumption that that the Temple, and Temple has a role, post death and resurrection, whereas Christ in the Gospels clearly equates the Temple with his own body. Also Hebrews points the tabernacles/temple are merely copies of the heavenly Temple, in which is already interceding on our behave.
Building a third Temple would be to create a false and counterfeit sacrificial system as that has been fully fulfilled in the Messiah. It would be great spiritual delusion and would deceived many people.
God is waiting until we get our eschatology timelines correct before he sends Jesus back.

The first abomination of desolation directly refer to by Daniel was referring to Antiochus of The Maccabees revolt. The second Abomination desolation mentioned by Christ was when Jerusalem was surrounded by armies and the zealots murdered thousands of people in the Holy Place mixing the blood of the priests with their sacrifices. Both of these were future events in reference to the prophets who spoke of them. But today both of them are past events. And that has Jesus said clearly in the Olivet discourse, "this shall never happen again." So we can forget about any future fulfillment
The Sadducee Temple priests officiated the weekly Sabbaths and High Days at the time of Christ, who never contested their solar calendar.
In 66AD the Pharisee Anti-Roman (Anti-Fasse/ANTIFA) Zealot rebels, seized control of the Temple.
When contested for control, 20000 Judean 'Jewish' Edomites assisted the Zealots and murdered most of the Sadducee aristocracy, priests and hundreds of the Jerusalem populace.
The ANTIFA Zealot rebels then appointed their own accursed lunar calendar high priest, who was the last to be seen standing in the Holy Place when THREE AND A HALF YEARS later, the prince of the Roman Empire arrived and desolated Jerusalem, Judea and the Jews in 70 AD - culminating in the taking of Masada another THREE AND A HALF YEARS AFTERWARDS.
Most of the Christians, remembering Christ's words, escaped to Jordan between the two sieges of Jerusalem - the first siege by General Gallus who then strangely withdrew from Judea, and the second by "prince" Titus son of the new Emperor.
These SEVEN YEARS are the fulfillment of Daniels prophesy.
Surviving Pharisees continued to enforce their lunar calendar 'sabbaths and high days' in the Synagogues, which they controlled - hiding the Sadducee Temple calendar from the people.
Constantine managed to establish the Resurrection day as Sunday in 30 AD on their Julian calendar, which actually overlapped the Biblical weekly Sabbath THAT year.
Unable to establish the Biblical calendar, Constantine changed Sunday to the first day of his new Roman week, in honour of the Resurrection.
Later Constantine's son Constantius ll, knowing the Pharisee's lunar interpretation of the Biblical calendar to be Babylonian and Canaanite, forbade them from signaling the start of their lunar months across the Empire from Jerusalem.
As a concequence, Hillel ll was forced to choose a Roman day for their weekly 'sabbath', and he chose Saturday - the seventh day of Constantine's NEW Roman week. The rest of their lunar calendar they kept by Rabbinical calculation.
Thus the true Biblical Temple calendar was lost until the discovery of the Dead Sea Scroll's.
The Dead Sea Scroll's solar calendar, corrected to the Sadducee 19th Abib Omer Wave Sheaf, is the correct Biblical calendar, revealing the weekly Sabbaths and High Days - which is why the Zionist State of Israel suppressed them for 40 years before they were leaked out on micro fish copies.
Saturday was only chosen as the Jewish 'sabbath' by Heliel II about 300 years after Christ. He standadised the Jewish calendar. Even before that, the weekly 'sabbath' they kept was the Babylonian lunar 'sabbath' that the Pharisees introduced and enforced in the Synagogues, after the Temple was destroyed in 70AD.
The true weekly Sabbath was already hidden by the Pharisees in favour of the Babylonian lunar interpretation of the Biblical calendar. Knowing this, Constantine's son forbade them from signaling their pagan lunar calendar observations across the Roman Empire.
However Constantine himself was unable to determine the true Biblical weekly Sabbath, but he was able to determine that Christ was resurrected in that year on the Roman solar calendars "Sunday". Therefore, in honour of the resurrection he changed Sunday to the first day of his NEW Roman week, and also made Sunday the day of rest.
Without Roman authority to signal their Babylonian lunar 'sabbath' across the empire, Hillel II and other anti-Christ Jews were forced to choose a Roman weekday as their "new sabbath" and he chose the seventh day of Constantine's new Roman week - i.e. "Saturday" !
Rabbi 'Sages' don't tell you all this and most Rabbis don't even know this themselves !
Karaite Jews today still keep the Babylonial lunar calendar and many Christians have been seduced into doing the same.
Jericho was an ancient lunar calendar observation city dedicated to and named after their moon god.
The Bible called Jericho the "accursed city" and Joshua was commanded to totally destroy it and its inhabitants after marching around it once for six consecutive days, and seven times on the seventh day - i.e. 13 times in total !
I think that, as opposed to the Second Advent and the "Marriage of the Lamb" that nobody knows when, the preceding "great and dreadful day of the Lord" can actually be established as the 20th March 2031.
The world will feel that ominous consuming fire approaching and will run around trying to hide, while Christians enter into their inner prayer "chambers".
When the Christians come out, there will be no OTHER flesh and blood survivers - who will be burnt up and trodden "as ash under their feet."
They will mourn for their friends and relatives who weren't "saved", but SOMETIME afterwards will witness the return of Christ coming from east to west.
Raising their eyes they will be transformed in an instant, allowing them to rise up and meet His RETURN.
Thereafter, they will be consoled when He "wipes the tears" from their eyes and takes care of them like as "calves of the stall".
That's how I perceive these future Biblical events.
Don't the dead in Christ rise "first" - a great multitude ? Then those living Christians that are "left" come safely out of their prayer chambers - AFTER the "wrath", to "tread upon the ashes of the wicked who have been removed from the earth" - "The righteous shall NEVER be removed but the wicked shall be cut off".
These "saved" righteous remnant "lift up their eyes", and are then "changed in the twinkling of an eye", and able to rise up and meet Christ returning with this great host.....
The chronology in the Septuagint is a few hundred years longer than in the Masoretic Text. Both are flawed:
The imminent millennial reign of Christ on earth coincides with Yahweh's 2nd 'day' of rest - "and His rest shall be glorious" because His Son is ruling on earth for that 1000-year-day.
So if Yahweh's first "day" of rest was ALSO a thousand-year-day, in which Adam died at 930 years old "in the same day" he sinned, and Adam was also made near the end of the previous 6th 'day', then we are currently near the end of the 13th thousand-year-day which actually ends on the "great and dreadful day of the Lord" on the 20th March 2031.
Um...very intriguing theory. But I wonder if Daniel would have understood the "years" to be lunar or solar years? I ask because Ken's theory only works if he understood the years to be solar years. But wouldn't Daniel have gone by lunar years?

The Dome of the Rock is not a mosque. FYI. Also, the dome was just wood until the King of Jordan had it overlaid with gold. Al Aqsa is a mosque. The mosque was used by the crusaders for some time but fell back in Muslim hands when the Crusaders were defeated. But, how would that nullify the theory anyway? Putting a church there would not have sanctified the temple mount. I find the thinking very interesting.
This is the first time I watched a Remnant Radio video and at the end of this video, I had to subscribe. Great topic indeed. I hope you make more prophecy videos. I think there are some things that have been overlooked or not discussed. First, The event involving Antiochus Emptiness is not the Abomination of Desolation. We know this because Jesus spoke of it as a future event In Mathew chapter 24 and Luke chapter 21. ( “So when you see the abomination of desolation" -ESV)
Second is that the discourse in Luke 21 is different than the discourse in Mathew 24. This is because these events are two separate conversations. If you look at the text before Jesus spoke the prophecy in Luke you will see that the conversation in Luke takes place at the temple. If you look at the prophecy in Mathew you will see that was a private conversation that took place on the mount of olives Math 24:3. This is important because the topics are slightly different.
In Luke's version, the people there were discussing the destruction of the temple. And Jesus briefly covered his return. In Mathew, the disciples came to him privately and wanted to know about the signs concerning his second coming. That is the main topic of chapter 24 and chapter 25. Context is important. I found the information in your video interesting. It was the first time I have heard this information and I have studied this stuff for years.

Antiochus slaughtering the pig on the altar CAN NOT be "the" Abomination of Desolation. The New Testament was written way after the fact, Jesus spoke of the Abomination of Desolation as something that had yet to occur, something to look out for (Matt 24:15, Mark 13:14, Luke 21:20). Antiochus was only a type of AoD
I definitely agree that these pagan monuments are the abomination which makes desolate, and written inside are even prayers saying that god is not three and far be it from god's divine majesty that he should have a son (lowercase Gs because their gods are not God).
If we speak of the SECOND year of Darius' reign, we don't add 2 but one: 522-521 is the first year of his reign, and 521-520 is the second year.
I agree, except daily sacrifice may have stopped with first deportation of priests and implements around 598 BC. That brings us to completion of Dome in 693.
This is a foolish message. The 1335 days are a 45-day extension of the 1290 days in the Book of Daniel. Why he thinks you need to add another 1335 to the 1290 is beyond me. The Angels clearly telling Daniel the one who's blessed, is the one who waits for an additional 45 days past the 1290 mark
This is an interesting read of Daniel 12. So, on the assumption that 1 day = 1yr, we get 1,290 years desolation is completed ("set up"). Assume this is 705 AD on Ken's argument/math. Why not read the 1,335 in vs. 12 as being 45 years on from the 1,290 years? 45 years onto 705 AD would be 750 AD?

Ken fish has all these degrees but does not deal with the biblical text rightly. In Daniel 12 verses 11 and twelve Ken says that 1,290 days leads up to 704 ad and then 1,335 leads to 2040. They are not two separate numbers. 1,335 is simply 45 days after the 1,290. This is shoddy and seems to be a way for him to try to make the Bible fit his eschatological views. Matthew 24 and 2 Thessalonians make it clear that the abomination of desolation is a man ( Antichrist) and not a building.

Why did you omit verse 31,eh? Immediately AFTER the Great Tribulations is the only rapture!

Multiple Second Coming Visions in Revelation:
Christ returns at the end of Revelation chapter 6, with signs in the sun, moon, and stars, as are found in the Olivet Discourse.
Those at the end of the chapter are hiding from the wrath of the Lamb.
Why would they be hiding if Christ is not present?
The "kings", "captains", "might men", "free", and "bond" are also found in chapter 19 at the return of Christ.
He returns at the 7th trumpet, which is the last trumpet in the Bible, and the time of the judgment of the dead in Revelation 11:15-18.
The beginning of chapter 12 is a history lesson containing the fall of Satan, and the birth and death of Christ, who is the seed promised to crush the head of Satan in Genesis 3:15.

Because the two witnesses were bodily resurrected from the dead in Revelation 11, the "first resurrection" at the beginning of Revelation 20 is not the first bodily resurrection in the book.

There is a disagreement as to which decree is referred too. Ken Fish thinks it is the decree to rebuilt the temple that starts the 70 weeks. Daniel says it is the decree to rebuild Jerusalem. His argument does not resonate.

If, which I believe, the regular sacrifice being abolished took place when Jesus died, then we should count 1290 years from then, not 1290 years from the time of Daniel to get to 700-whatever AD like Mr. Fish does. That's the first questionable moment in this interview as I see it.
But then I want to argue gramatically in Hebrew (though admittedly I know very little and rely on concordances):
" and from the time (that) is taken away the daily (sacrifice) and is setup rhe abomination of desolation (there shall be) days 1290"
-the text says the regular sacrifice is abolished AND the A. of D. This AND generally, in my mind, shows these events are simultaneous or at least close in proximity. When did a desolation come? The second temple was destroyed, a huge number of Jews were killed by Suicide or by Romans or even by other Jews AND the Jews were dispersed. That happened really close to the sacrificial ending. That's not to mention Jewish scholarly writing on the event.

Josephus confirms above the understanding of the Jews of his time, who knew that Daniel had predicted the events of 167 BC, by Antiochus Epiphanes.

John 10:22 is a reference to the celebration of Hanukkah each year by the Jews of Jesus time.
The Book of Matthew was addressed mainly to a Jewish audience. Jesus was telling the Jews of His time that something similar to 167 BC would happen during 70 AD. Not only did Antiochus desecrate the temple, but he also attacked the city killing thousands of Jews and stopped the temple sacrifices. The temple sacrifices would also stop in 70 AD, due to the destruction of the temple. Based on John 10:22, the Jews were well aware of this historical fulfillment of Daniel’s prophecy. Luke’s Gospel was written to more of a Gentile audience, so he spelled it out for them.
Matthew 24:15-16 and Luke 21:20-21 are clearly parallel accounts because of the common word elements in both passages. We also have the same reference to flee in the second verse in each Gospel.

Paul said the Gospel was taken "first" to the Jews in Romans 1:16. When was that period of time, and how long did in last? The Sadducee Temple priests officiated the weekly Sabbaths and High Days at the time of Christ, who never contested their solar calendar.
In 66AD the Pharisee Anti-Roman (Anti-Fasse/ANTIFA) Zealot rebels, seized control of the Temple.
When contested for control, 20000 Judean 'Jewish' Edomites assisted the Zealots and murdered most of the Sadducee aristocracy, priests and hundreds of the Jerusalem populace.
The ANTIFA Zealot rebels then appointed their own accursed lunar calendar high priest, who was the last to be seen standing in the Holy Place when THREE AND A HALF YEARS later, the prince of the Roman Empire arrived and desolated Jerusalem, Judea and the Jews in 70 AD - culminating in the taking of Masada another THREE AND A HALF YEARS AFTERWARDS.
Most of the Christians, remembering Christ's words, escaped to Jordan between the two sieges of Jerusalem - the first siege by General Gallus who then strangely withdrew from Judea, and the second by "prince" Titus son of the new Emperor.
These SEVEN YEARS are the fulfillment of Daniels prophesy.
Surviving Pharisees continued to enforce their lunar calendar 'sabbaths and high days' in the Synagogues, which they controlled - hiding the Sadducee Temple calendar from the people.
Constantine managed to establish the Resurrection day as Sunday in 30 AD on their Julian calendar, which actually overlapped the Biblical weekly Sabbath THAT year.
Unable to establish the Biblical calendar, Constantine changed Sunday to the first day of his new Roman week, in honour of the Resurrection.
Later Constantine's son Constantius ll, knowing the Pharisee's lunar interpretation of the Biblical calendar to be Babylonian and Canaanite, forbade them from signaling the start of their lunar months across the Empire from Jerusalem.
As a concequence, Hillel ll was forced to choose a Roman day for their weekly 'sabbath', and he chose Saturday - the seventh day of Constantine's NEW Roman week. The rest of their lunar calendar they kept by Rabbinical calculation.
Thus the true Biblical Temple calendar was lost until the discovery of the Dead Sea Scroll's.
The Dead Sea Scroll's solar calendar, corrected to the Sadducee 19th Abib Omer Wave Sheaf, is the correct Biblical calendar, revealing the weekly Sabbaths and High Days - which is why the Zionist State of Israel suppressed them for 40 years before they were leaked out on micro fish copies.
Saturday was only chosen as the Jewish 'sabbath' by Heliel II about 300 years after Christ. He standadised the Jewish calendar. Even before that, the weekly 'sabbath' they kept was the Babylonian lunar 'sabbath' that the Pharisees introduced and enforced in the Synagogues, after the Temple was destroyed in 70AD.
The true weekly Sabbath was already hidden by the Pharisees in favour of the Babylonian lunar interpretation of the Biblical calendar. Knowing this, Constantine's son forbade them from signaling their pagan lunar calendar observations across the Roman Empire.
However Constantine himself was unable to determine the true Biblical weekly Sabbath, but he was able to determine that Christ was resurrected in that year on the Roman solar calendars "Sunday". Therefore, in honour of the resurrection he changed Sunday to the first day of his NEW Roman week, and also made Sunday the day of rest.
Without Roman authority to signal their Babylonian lunar 'sabbath' across the empire, Hillel II and other anti-Christ Jews were forced to choose a Roman weekday as their "new sabbath" and he chose the seventh day of Constantine's new Roman week - i.e. "Saturday" !
Rabbi 'Sages' don't tell you all this and most Rabbis don't even know this themselves !

Jericho was an ancient lunar calendar observation city dedicated to and named after their moon god.
The Bible called Jericho the "accursed city" and Joshua was commanded to totally destroy it and its inhabitants after marching around it once for six consecutive days, and seven times on the seventh day - i.e. 13 times in total !

Don't the dead in Christ rise "first" - a great multitude ? Then those living Christians that are "left" come safely out of their prayer chambers - AFTER the "wrath", to "tread upon the ashes of the wicked who have been removed from the earth" - "The righteous shall NEVER be removed but the wicked shall be cut off".
These "saved" righteous remnant "lift up their eyes", and are then "changed in the twinkling of an eye", and able to rise up and meet Christ returning with this great host.....
The chronology in the Septuagint is a few hundred years longer than in the Masoretic Text. Both are flawed:

Gabriel Reyna I believe healing always comes, but sadly, it is not always received. All power to heal comes from Christ. He uses those who believe and yield themselves to be willing vessels for His healing power to flow through to others.

He gives different gifts to different people. Not all are prophets, teachers, etc. We are different parts of the Body. In my experience, not all are healed for various reasons. Some are consequences of sin - smoking often leads to lung cancer for example. Some are the sins of the fathers, alcoholism maybe leading to Fetal alcohol syndrome or liver issues. Some are sins of the world - diseases that are rampant. Some are a demonic assignment. Some are for God's glory Jesus said. Sometimes people want to live in the victimization. Some people don't do what the doctor advises. I could continue. I have seen all these things. It is a great question that I think many ask. I have asked the Lord and wrestled through some things. One other...sometimes it gets someone to lie down and rest. Sometimes it is the only way to get someone's attention. Sometimes it brings people to God (Some kings in the Bible for instance). I pray you find your answers and if not, the grace to accept it.

Luke 21:20-21 tells us what the abomination of desolation is, a pagan army surrounding holy Jerusalem to desolate it. This happened in 66 AD, when Cestius brought his army to Jerusalem. They were ready to take the city captive, when for no explained reason, they left.
The reason is that if they had taken it captive, the temple and city and Jewish nation, would have been preserved. But desolation had been determined on the city, because the Jewish leaders rejected their promised Messiah and delivered Him up to be killed.
The saints saw this sign and they took the opportunity to flee Jerusalem to the mountains of Pella for safety. Then three divisions of the Roman army were sent against the Jews in Jerusalem, which led to 1.1 million Jews dying in and around the city, from famine, pestilence, infighting, suicide, crucifixion and by the Roman sword.
The Romans burned down the temple and the city in 70 AD, and cast down all of the stones of the temple, in that generation of Jews; just like Messiah proclaimed that it would. It’s interesting, and I think right on, that Ken separates this abomination in Daniel 8 (Antiochus IV in 168ish BC) from the one in 12 as it is explicitly said to occur during the Greek period. But is Dan 12 about future “end times”? Daniel 12 is said to be in the days of the trouble at Jerusalem, in the days of a false messiah type king who captures Jerusalem. The passage about this king begins in Dan 11:36, and it is true that he is after Antiochus. The difficulty I have is that the context of Daniel 12 seems to fall after the Greek period and so align with the Roman era. Further, 12 speaks to the breaking of Israel, which occurs in AD70. Thus the “end” period is not the end of time but the end of the 2nd temple. Jesus warns of signs to get out of Judea in Mat 24, and in fact Josephus gives AV 15th, AD66 as the start of the war and the end of certain sacrifices. 1290 days from that point brings us to the beginning of the siege of Jerusalem at the start of 70AD by Simon, one of false messiahs in the war (standing in the holy place), after which no one could leave. If one got out before Simon’s arrival they would see the Romans arrival within 45 days later (1335), and they were blessed to not suffer Jerusalem’s fate. Thus, the abomination in 12 per Jesus’ use of it was for his immediate disciples, not for us. Something to consider.

Thus the true Biblical Temple calendar was lost until the discovery of the Dead Sea Scroll's.
The Dead Sea Scroll's solar calendar, corrected to the Sadducee 19th Abib Omer Wave Sheaf, is the correct Biblical calendar, revealing the weekly Sabbaths and High Days - which is why the Zionist State of Israel suppressed them for 40 years before they were leaked out on micro fish copies.
Saturday was only chosen as the Jewish 'sabbath' by Heliel II about 300 years after Christ. He standadised the Jewish calendar. Even before that, the weekly 'sabbath' they kept was the Babylonian lunar 'sabbath' that the Pharisees introduced and enforced in the Synagogues, after the Temple was destroyed in 70AD.
The true weekly Sabbath was already hidden by the Pharisees in favour of the Babylonian lunar interpretation of the Biblical calendar. Knowing this, Constantine's son forbade them from signaling their pagan lunar calendar observations across the Roman Empire.
However Constantine himself was unable to determine the true Biblical weekly Sabbath, but he was able to determine that Christ was resurrected in that year on the Roman solar calendars "Sunday". Without Roman authority to signal their Babylonian lunar 'sabbath' across the empire, Hillel II and other anti-Christ Jews were forced to choose a Roman weekday as their "new sabbath" and he chose the seventh day of Constantine's new Roman week - i.e. "Saturday" !

Don't the dead in Christ rise "first" - a great multitude ? Then those living Christians that are "left" come safely out of their prayer chambers - AFTER the "wrath", to "tread upon the ashes of the wicked who have been removed from the earth" - "The righteous shall NEVER be removed but the wicked shall be cut off".
These "saved" righteous remnant "lift up their eyes", and are then "changed in the twinkling of an eye", and able to rise up and meet Christ returning with this great host.....
The chronology in the Septuagint is a few hundred years longer than in the Masoretic Text. Both are flawed:

@@Michael-pn5lp you said a lot. I’m not clear on how the sabbath day and lunar calendar factor in. The Hebrew calendar was a Lunar-solar calendar. The meaning and use of book of Jubilees by the Qumran community or their predecessors is rather speculative.
In any case, it provides no support for turning the 1290 days in Dan 12 into years. The reason the 70 sevens in Dan 9 are years is because contextually this was an expansion of the 70 years of Jeremiah into a 490 year probation period until Messiah was to come.
Disconnecting the 1290 and 1345 days from the context of Daniel 12 results in arbitrary associations (such as picking out the day of the Lord as some special future event in 2030/40). Daniel 12 is clear, those events had to happen in conjunction with the breaking of the power of the holy people (Israel)(Dan 12:7), and in Mat. 24 Jesus ties the day of great tribulation to the fall of the temple in his generation. That event in AD 70 broke the power of Israel and brought the Mosaic covenant to an end. The “end” of the temple was to come after Messiah was cut off (Dan 9:27), and this also fits with a Roman era, the 4th kingdom period.
I would differ slightly with your 7 year proposal, ending with Masada, for the 70th final week of Dan 9. But it’s a great runner up view (much better than most), and I can accept it for the sake of argument.
However, to then turn the days of Daniel 12 into years and to separate them from their Roman Empire time context, and Jesus’ reference to the abomination of desolation, is to disregard the time period clues that we are given for the identification of the events described (which I take to be the days to mark the setting up of Simon’s false messianic kingdom in Nisan of AD 70, when he stood before and then entered into Jerusalem. Simon’s arrogance brought about the desolation/destruction of the temple). My two cents.
I take Rev to be written in AD 65, during Nero’s persecutions. Then Jerusalem is destroyed (chap 1-19). I take the first resurrection of the martyrs in Rev. 20 to be of Paul and Peter and other Dead saints with Daniel and the many of Dan. 12:2. I take the second resurrection to be the general resurrection of 1 Cor. 15:51-57, and 1 Thess. 4:13-18. I believe the millennial kingdom is the current messianic age, during which Israel will have its peace and come to view Christ as king. Then comes the release of Satan and the final battle of Rev. 20:9, and the return of Christ from heaven (Acts 3:20).
Thoughts? Why turn the days to years? Why move them beyond the 1st century and the fall of the temple?

However an in depth study of the Biblical calendar will confirm that it is not lunar in any way - the preponderance of Biblical evidence is overwhelmingly in favour of a purely solar calendar. Can the Messianic Kingdom be termed a millennium/1000years if it is already almost 2000 years old ?

What is the significance of a pure solar calendar for you? A Lunar-solar calendar is solar in that it uses 365 days as the year, it just that a typical year is 354 days and a leap month is added every 4 years or so (on a 19 year cycle). So the fact that the moon is used to measure the months, it makes little difference over a great span of time.
Regarding the 1000 years, I see lots of biblical support for taking it as a long period of time. Revelations uses numbers like 7, 12, 144,000 (12x12) symbolically, to mean a complete number. In the OT 1000 days in God’s court and the cattle on a 1000 hills mean a great number. I take the millennium to have begun at the fall of the temple, at the closing up of the pit of war/destruction (opened in Rev 9:2).
I see the millennial kingdom overlapping with the kingdom delivered up in 1 Cor. 15:24. But this is at the end, at the last trumpet (1 Cor. 15:53). I see the 7th trumpet being the end of the old covenant, while the 8th is the end of the Adamic age of death, the last epoch of which is the millennium. The end of which corresponds to Christ’s resurrection on the 8th day. It begins the full consumption of age of the new heavens and earth where death will be no more (Rev 21).
Something to consider. I find the pieces fit, but we all have our assumptions. I prefer to build expectations on the time frames given by scripture, and hold loose the assumption that something goes to the end of history because it involves a resurrection.
I also find that Mat 24 forces a choice of what to take literally: “this generation” or “shall see him on the clouds”. I find the cloud coming to be easy to understand as a prophetic event about a judgment coming of destruction, the fulfillment of which makes God/Christ “present” or “real” to the one who has “understanding”. I don’t think Yahweh physically appeared on the cloud in Isa. 19:1-2 when the Babylonians were sacking the Egyptians, so when Christ appropriates this image and Daniel 7’s prediction to himself about his judgment against boastful Israel, I see no reason to expect Jesus to have been physically visible in AD 70. To “see” can simply mean to understand with the mind based upon prophesy and the earthly signs that fulfilled it.
I see a distinction between cloud coming (Mat. 24:30, Rev 1:7) and Christ’s return (Acts 1:11, 3:20, Rev. 20:11) to be a basic requirement to understand biblical prophesy.
Unfortunately, most of the recent Church has followed Hippolytus rather then Eusebius in its reading of Mat 24. It’s understandable, but it causes all the problems the modern higher critics observe. If we just read cloud comings in an OT prophetic paradigm rather than as a visible coming, all these problems go away, as I see it.
I could be wrong, but if not, the system is pretty coherent. Maybe that counts for something.

I'm just polishing up an extended work on this subject. Basically the Biblical solar calendar as laid out in the DSS (with two corrections to bring it in line with what I believe was the Sadducee Priest's Temple calendar) contains three or more different built in scale timelines:
Each millennium is a "Great Day" in Yahweh's "Great Weeks" !
The whole of creation was only set in motion when Adam was created near the end of the 6th "Great Day".
Yahweh then rested for the 7th "Great Day".
After Yahweh's last "Great Day of Rest", in which Adam sinned and died at 930 years old, the next "Great Week" of seven millennial "Great Days" commenced.
We are nearing the end of the second Christian Day of Hosea 6:1-3 since the RESURRECTION of Christ in 30 AD. We are actually ending the 6th "Great Day" of THIS "Great Week".
The 20th of March 2031 will be the dreaded "great and dreadful day of the Lord" and only the righteous survivers will tearfully "tread upon the ashes of the wicked", to soon afterwards witness Christ's 2nd Advent. This will be the 7th "Great Day" of THIS "Great Week", Yahweh's 2nd "Great Rest Day" - and "his rest shall be glorious" because Christ will be ruling for that thousand year 7th "Great Day of Yahweh's Rest". Then after the end of THAT "Great Day" is the "EIGHTH" day.
The 8th "last great day" of the Feast of Tabernacles parallels the 8th "Great Millennial Day" IN WHICH EVERY DAY WILL BE A SABBATH !
