Robert Smiths voice is like a piece of crystal. It’s strong and beautiful and it feels like it could just shatter
I think this is probably the most apt description of Robert Smith's voice I've heard. Well put.

Lyrics
Show me, show me, show me how you do that trick
The one that makes me scream she said
The one that makes me laugh she said
Threw her arms around my neck
Show me how you do it and I'll promise you
I'll promise that I'll run away with you, I'll run away with you
Spinning on that dizzy edge
Kissed her face and kissed her head
Dreamed of all the different ways, I had to make her glow
Why are you so far away she said
Why won't you ever know that I'm in love with you?
That I'm in love with you?
You, soft and only, you lost and lonely
You, strange as angels
Dancing in the deepest oceans
Twisting in the water
You're just like a dream
You're just like a dream
Daylight licked me into shape
I must have been asleep for days
And moving lips to breathe her name
I opened up my eyes
And found myself alone, alone, alone above a raging sea
That stole the only girl I loved and drowned her deep inside of me
You soft and only
You lost and lonely
You just like heaven

Hoye the cure ..maldita sea soy de la Patagonia ARGENTINA
This has been my favorite song for the past 30 years. Other songs have came and gone but this one stays close to my heart.
Joined my first band in 1988, and this is one of the first songs I learned to play. Little rural high school in the deep south, me and my friends with weird hair and trench coats and our weird music. lol
thats awesome man
Did y'all rampage with shotguns at the local HS ?
Columbine Quartet? *giggle* (jk) I was one of the first three punks in Montgomery AL in the early 80s
I have exactly that perfect image of you in my head. Your whole schools listening to horrific hair bands but u guys are slightly goth not enough to warrant concern but the right amount of cook detachment.?Clash The Specials The English Beat
I guess you're back to normal now, married with a short fat woman, eating chicken fried steak, talking about yesteryear?
I m a foetus inside my mother & I love this song
Great song. love how each instrument has such a distinctive part. Less so Robert's acoustic, but his voice is an instrument itself.
Still sound great just the same as the 80s thanks for great memories ❣️
The nineties were a much beloved Time for me. Hope and I were first married and raising our son Paul. The music carried the same hope and joy.
Awesome song. Lot of memories with this songs.
