... I know the song and like it better than the original! I like that you also play Deep Purple's lesser known songs. Thanks for that! ... There are still plenty of them 😆! ... A little tip from me: “Place in the Line” and “Anyone’s Daugther” 🎸🥁🎹 Thank You

Thanks for doing this one. Knew you'd like it. I remember this as their follow up single to " Hush ", and although it didn't do quite as well as " Hush", it was still very good in it's own right. It's difficult to imagine today just how different it was back then. Music was mostly pop, AM radio top 40 type of stuff. Not that there's anything wrong with that. The Neil Diamond version of this was good, but it was typical top 40. Deep purple's cover of this song ( along with " Hush ", which was also a cover song ) made it a completely different song and took it to a totally higher level. IMO, their fist 3 albums don't get the respect they deserve. Try " Chasing Shadows " off the 3rd album, the percussion in that song is phenomenal !

Thanks. On a personal note, do yourself a favor and check out their 4th album " Deep Purple- Concerto for group and orchestra " where they actually team up with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
I think the whole thing was written by Jon Lord. This was when the line-up changed to mk2. It's not really suitable for a reaction channel such as yours but, if you get the time, as a personal favor to yourself, it's worth a listen. In 1969, they were the only group out there who could have pulled such a thing off ! And they really do pull it off. Ian Paice's drum solo in the 3rd movement is amazing.
Not everybody's cup of tea for sure but it is a fascinating oddity. Of coarse their next album after that was " DP in rock" and that one changed everything !
