I just happen to be re-reading this. I love the whole series. It’s like being a voyeur for one of the most epic campaigns in D&D history. Gord is the reason I’ve been choosing thief/rogues in any rpg video game since I was 12. Nice review man!
Thanks for the kind words. I love these books and they have greatly shaped my Greyhawk campaign over the years. By the way, my Greyhawk campaign turned 40 years old this month.
@@page121tabletoproleplaying4 I’d love for someone to do a proper audiobook reading of the series. I love the guy who does Joe Abercrombie’s First Law series. He would be perfect for the job!
This is the only one of the Gord books I own, but I do enjoy it. I feel like it shows how an AD&D world could operate if it were “real”, and gives you a sense of what an adventure would be like from the perspective of the characters.

I agree.
I HAVE THE WHOLE SET,, HAVE READ THEM MANY TIMES.
Didn’t realize Night Arrant works before Artifact of Evil.
Always thought the Gord books were fun reads when my first DM let me borrow them in the late 90s!
