I have a 2003 Pontiac Vibe. For some reason it is one of my favorite vehicles I've owned. Over 300K miles and still going strong.

Quick rule of thumb, 99 to 06, the 5.3 LM7 doesn't have AFM. They're pretty bulletproof. 07 and up are the ones with AFM.
that 400E Merc is very rare. if you can get it for sub 2k. you can easily make a profit if you sell it somewhere like Cars and Bids.

Auto Auction Rebuilds about right. It's the same type of car as the 500E. That weird Porsche built Mercedes stuff.

The most solid part of that car is that supercharged engine. I have one on my Q7 and it’s the part of it I know would never let me down. Let’s hope water or mud didn’t damage it and it can be solved with just maintenance parts and simple repairs. Great score!
Wow, that 400 E is awesome! Not only is it the rather rare version of the W 124 with the gorgeous M 119 V 8 but also does it seem to be in properly good condition - definitely worth bidding on!

A recent-ish New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, or Pennsylvania car would scare me- the recent hurricanes and flooding have impacted plenty of cars that don't have flood titles! If you can resurrect that Audi, it'll fit two flat refrigerator boxes in the back, get 30 mpg highway, drive out of 2 feet of snow, the engine is super reliable, they're amazing. The Mercedes is gorgeous!

AFM didn't start till 07 on the GM trucks and big SUVs. Started in 06 on the trailblazer and 9-7x. Earlier on GM cars. 05 on the Grand Prix GXP.

The A7 was probably one of the Ida cars from ny/nj and just wasn't totaled out. That would explain the mud. I know this because I'm from ny and if you search Ida highway floods in NY or NJ you will see that a lot of cars didn't survive the massive floods that we got.
Randy that Audi was probably a hurricane ida 2021 flood car from Jersey. Where they got massive amounts of rain in a short time frame. It was probably fully submerged like most where in that area.

Regarding the A7, it could be it was caught in the floods earlier in the summer. I think it was Ida that hit us. Nj got hit bad with the floods. A friend of mine lost is passport in Hackensack Nj.

On hard top convertibles you have to press the brake pedal before opening the roof. It's to prevent the roof opening if you accidentally hit the button whilst the car is moving.
I spot an old taurus near the suburban (9:40 of the video). I like that model, maybe u can check that car?

Hi Randy, the Mercedes is worth a bid, the Becker head unit/stereo is worth $1’600 on its own, here in Europe. Your spot on, fresh fuel, two fuel filters, game on. Offer it for sale in Europe, you would be surprised how much its worth.

When you pointed the camera on the Mustang I was actually eyeing the Bronco just like you've said. 🤣
This is just a guess, but the A7 may NOT be a flood car. The driver may have ran off the road into a muddy field. This would explain the mud splattered on the side of the car, the heavy mud inside, mud and grass on the engine. All of this would be a by product of rocking the car back and forth trying get it on the road again. Also, it is listed as "under carriage" damage and not listed as a flood car. Peddle car or not, it has potential.
The black W124 merc is worth mega money , we never got the 4.0 v8 in the UK , Here they are sky rocketing in price !! I had a 250 diesel and it was the best made car I have ever had ! please please buy it !!

Suburban does not have AFM in that year. The 4 wheel drive problem is the dash switch which is cheap! These trucks are tough! Love the Mercedes! The Audi is neat!
We had a 03 Tahoe that some of the same problems. The 4x4 service is just because of a bad battery or alternator. Those front seats on driver's side are always getting worn out.
Several weeks ago, New Jersey got the severe remnants of Hurricane Ida dropping around 10 inches of rain in north central NJ in just a couple of hours. Water was backing up into basements, collapsing basement walls, and backing up out of sewers and manholes in the middle of streets.
Even a couple of tornadoes, one an F3 touched down and destroyed a few homes in SW N.J. Small rivers and streams were overflowing their banks. This Audi and maybe thousands of other vehicles were victims. For a day NJ experienced what Oklahoma experiences.
I’d stay away from any used or pre-owned NJ cars for a couple of years.
Hurricane Ida most likely got to that poor Audi A7. We got hit with really bad flooding here in Jersey during the storm.

I have a 92 400e with 168k on it. My inlaws bought it new in 92 for around $60k lol. It is a solid car though.

My guess is that First one you looked at they probably drove it through a mud hole somewhere and got stuck just because I know how Jersey people are 🤣

4wd isnt working on the suburban cuz the 4wd actuater in the front that switches the front wheels to 4wd the wires will break and u have to buy a new pigtail plug wire it up and plug it back in the actuater and the 4wd switches will work again or its a fuse and it is like 70.00 for a new bottom seat that has a rip

Randy, the Audi must have floated down the river on it drivers side. There sure is a lot of red clay mud packed in the driver's side floors and fender wells. Maybe the Mustang is the buy of the day! Pass on the Pontiac!
Be careful with that Audi Randy. .. The misfire may be due to a slightly bent rod if it had slerped some water up and hydrolocked .... My friend bought a Toyota Surf that had the same problem , it ran rough on idle but picked up when you revved it .. Also the drivers side rear wheel looks like it has been shoved forward .

That G6 Hardtop Convertible is the most uninteresting interesting car that has ever existed. I believe that this was GM's first "regular people" hardtop convertible that GM ever built. I think that this was the 1st hardtop retractable after the SSR which was their very first one and WAY more expensive. As far as a car goes, probably not valuable but as far as GM history goes, it's pretty special.

The G6 convertible may have had a cargo cover in the trunk that had to be in the extended position triggering a microswitch allowing the top to be retracted.... 🤔🤔
A friend of mine had a G6 when it 1st came out. Put that time down and gone was his trunk space lol
Make sure on the A7 you check in the timing chain guide tensioners (notorious for this near 100k miles). If they start to go bad or do go bad, it’s a 4-6k repair. Audi will want to take the engine out to do it. An independent shop might be able to do it without removal.

The dealership that Audi is from is 5 min from where I am in NJ. Regular used lot. I saw Old Bridge on the frame and was like no way. We had tons of flood cars from Ida on 9/3. Cars fully submerged. Some saltwater too mostly fresh. The roads were literally rivers. How it got to OK, Who knows? I work at a BMW dealer we still have flood cars waiting for co part and IAA trucks that been coming for over a month. Thousands of cars.
