Thanks!! I actually got more tedious details to finish, after this video uploaded i received some usb ports to mount on back of case. So now have 4 port usb hub on front floppy disk opening and 2 more on rear. I won’t be posting another video till it’s 100 percent done.
Should have it done soon with most I/O from Mac mini extended to Macintosh Plus case. Hopefully a full video explaining all parts used and how screen is mounted as well coming next
Hey there, I'm actually doing a similar project, do you have any close ups of how you attached the LCD to the Mac Plus? I got a 9.7" LCD which I think is the same as the iPads but I can't seem to figure out a way to attach it using screws, I can't line up more than one. Great idea with the Mac mini being upright like that as well!
I’ll be working on getting a detailed closer view how I mounted my screen, it’s really simple. I’ll have video with some certain details on how I mounted my screen along with other details. Just waiting on parts to finish it up as best as I can make it. I originally planned to lay the Mac mini flat on bottom but didn’t wanna cut up back of original Macintosh case too much, originally was gonna also run an original Mac mini power button on outside by extending wires out of the original Mac mini board. But while moving around stuff today, I came across that option to access original power button behind the original Macintosh battery cover. Doing it like this keeps the Mac mini original and I can swap out Mac mini later for a newer version. Since this video from earlier today I’ve added 2 usb ports on back of Macintosh case as well.
It’s an old 2012 Mac mini, gonna do an SSD upgrade, unless I come across a newer Mac mini with quad-core i7. Not gonna be my main setup, just an extra computer
ruclips.net/video/iYInobBJIMc/видео.html Here’s a final version video, using an iPad 2 screen. On the display settings I changed the resolution to match the iPad screen and then a “scaling” slider should appear under when using that setting on Mac mini
@@BATTLECRUISERJKU Thanks for the reply, I am using an iPAD 4 screen and yeah it is way higher resolution however can get the scaling slider to come up. I am running Opencore+Ventura on my 2012 Mini however. Hmmm this might be a Catalina thing. Anyway thanks!!
@@mikewilsher1005 should be available option, I have a MacBook with Ventura with the display removed and running two monitors off of it, I’ll double check but I’m sure I saw an option to adjust scaling. I recently picked up some iPad 4’s to potentially salvage the screens. Haven’t decided to upgrade my current build or build another
@@BATTLECRUISERJKU I solved the problem just a few moments ago with the BetterDisplay App it gave me a scaling option. FYI : M1 MacBook Pro does not have the option.
Man this is genuinely amazing. I was just expecting an ipad mini taped on the inside, but you went all out with this. Superb job!

Hdmi screen did you go with?
It’s an iPad 9.7” display screen with lcd driver board to connect hdmi
IPAD 4 screen? What adjustment did you do to re-size your screen I saw you move a slider but I can't tell what it is called.
