Dublin Airport has been a disgrace for quite some time. I was in that queue on Sunday with heavy bags and I had them on a trolley. Standing in the queue, keeping quiet and minding my own business. But a woman from security insisted for me not to have that trolley. Very mean and sums up the entire mentality of Dublin Airport.
We have five other airports capable of handling significant passenger numbers. Shannon, Cork, Kerry, Knock, and Donegal. I am sure the people that queued for hours, and missed their flights wouldn't have minded driving to Shannon or Cork. Like everything in Ireland it's all centered around Dublin, and the rest of the country doesn't matter.
@@godessunivers6941 Half otf the population is within a hours drive of Dublin so it is reasonable to expect that they have the lions share of facilities. As for Kerry, Knock or Donegal, have you been to those airports?
Eamon Ryan said he is giving them a week to find a solution. Is that not his job as the minister of transport. What a clown. I call for a vote of no confidence in Eamon Ryan.
you can call a vote of no confidence but you can be 100% sure that vote will fail. Fianna Fail and Fine Gael needs his party to hold onto the majority so that they can vote down any legislations or votes put forward by the opposition.
@@IrishBeerCan Eamon is the tax man. Tax everything he thinks is bad for the environment. That's his solution to everything just like Fianna fail and Fine Gael. Tax Tax Tax
I am not surprised but its sick how the media have talking heads on blaming ordinary people's. They gave redundancy and tried to hire cheap staff on temporary contracts. FG and FF are incapable of running anything. In fact they just make things worse. The government spokesman on this show is infuriating and angers me. FG and FF are clones of each other and I hate the standard of politican in FG and FF.
This is unfortunately a common story within many businesses in Ireland... full timers are laid off, new staff is brought on for less pay (and usually more work cause of understaffing) and on part time contracts. And people wonder why these things happen??
Unfortunately this situation seems to be everywhere. Over here in the UK people are queuing for anything up to 8 hours only to be told that their flight has been cancelled. So why did the airlines take the bookings only to subsequently ruin customers' holidays?
No Guarentee the same won't happen again only induces panic for bank holiday weekend. What they will gaurentee is top salaries, bonus & pensions for top management.
the same thing is happening in the UK. Passengers are being turned back and they are being given a refund. They must be an international embarrassment too then
Curious what happened to wheelchair passengers? I spent a couple of years needing wheelchairs and couldn't carry bags. Traveling alone with no one to help.
Of course, yet another problem Sinn fein have a solution to, using their money grows on trees policy. Ud think they were still raiding banks. For what its worth I'd suggest people fly from Shannon or Belfast .

I was wondering why people didn't have trollies. That's shocking.
Shannon Airport……..Best Airport in the world . No queuing , no problems parking, …. Please don’t tell anyone

What about those who don’t drive? I’m with you on Dublin though, they’re a cult in themselves
Excatly my thoughts! Everything happens in Dublin, which is absolute discrase!

Eamon really doesn't seem the sort to roll up his sleeves and sort out the problems. All yap.

"A call of no confidence " can only be called within the Dail.

They (our owners) don't want anyone to fly, except them....in their private jets.
The first person says it all. Spot on woman.
I traveled this week and I was appalled by the dirty conditions of. Terminal one.
Transfer some flights ✈️ to Shannon Airport ..

Shambolic, like ever other service in this country.
that's all b/s you know Dublin how many people are coming so what's going on ?
Listening to the shinners when every country in the World is suffering delays at airports its not an Irish phenomenon.
saving pennies when in lock down they should have paid them, ha ha .dublin airport it serves you right saving pennies when times were tight
Actually, they wasted a fortune during the lockdown.
