      No cash bail. If we are doing pre-trial release, it should be a risk assessment.

    This fine lady has racked up 20 arrests in Florida since 2010, for everything from DUI to child abuse to assault with a deadly weapon. Oh, and stalking and drug charges, too, along with two Baker Act holds. She hasn’t been arrested again since this one, at least in Florida; I wonder if she moved away (and what a relief that would have been for those poor neighbors).

    • @dark_sear
      @dark_sear 6 часов назад

      @@CraigGrant-sh3in Actually no, you can't call or tell anyone anything you want. at least, it's not that simple. For example: this is why defamation is used in law ("slander" and "libel"). Sure, it would be hard to win a case against this woman (e.g., based body cam footage of her mental state, comments/understanding from the neighbours, being LEOs and not a bystander, etc.). But that doesn't mean it might not bite you in another situation. Accusations in public that can defame someone, are a dangerous business - I wouldn't assume you are immune to legal action. Another thing you can't just "say" is to incite harm on someone. And more specifically, threatening violence against a LEO can be a felony. Free speech doesn't mean freedom from consequences. You also can't tell someone to do something criminal on your behalf. Words can be trouble.
