My Campco replacement says to connect the red on the RIGHT terminal although my old plug had the red wire on the LEFT. What's up with that?
Red and Black are universal hot leg wires. It doesn't matter which side the red/black wire is on. The important wires are white and green, which need to be in the correct location.
