I taught all of the SI assessments and treatment for years! Is it posterior rotated? Left on left? Hah!! No more need to do that. We need more PTs to set aside “the way it is done” and accept pain science and neuroplasticity as truth to really helping people to be empowered to move. Thanks!
So I have had arthoscopic surgery on my hip for a hip impingement, labral tear, and tear in my glute min. Every since that surgery I have had just nagging aches, pain in the SI joint on that same side as the surgery. My PT was not the greatest. I know now that the key to coming back from a surgery like that is to have an amazing PT (oh how I wish I lived in your town!). Anyway, any suggestions for alleviating this? What more should I be focusing on strengthening or relaxing? Would love any suggestions you have! Great content always!!!
Hi Shelly! Thanks so much for the kind words! A lot of this is continuing to find the exercises that can help down-regulate the pain in the area and then work on mobility and stability/strength exercises to build up support and safety in that area! We have a great Low Back and Hip Plan in the Jen Health platform you could check out. Explore for free with a week trial at Jen.health/freetrial
what you are saying makes complete sense. i am 77 years, interested in mobility. i hold the notion that mobility is life, and life is mobility. well, i have progressive gait ataxia since 2004. it has progressed to the extent that i am confined to house, moving supported by holding wall. well, i am told that 5 persons in l00,000 get it. so what? that is my attitude. i sense that by balance is steadily improving over the last four COVID 19 lockdown months. i did an experiment on myself - being active (moving) for 4 to 5 minutes every one hour of waking hours. i did this to provide evidence to my sons and grandchildren that nature abhors static/sedentary life. nature will bring to operate processes yet unknown to us one of it being use it lose it. Corona 19 virus may be one such process. .Tsend i am exercising on bed - rolling, crawling, rocking, etc modifying these in many ways, keeping in view contralateral limb activity. since you are an expert on movement, can you suggest some movement patterns that might help me
Absolutely love this post! Thank you so much for sharing all that you have been working on! I would make sure you keep doing bridge activities and even simple sit to stand exercises daily. If you can do any sort of stairs or step up/downs as well as working on standing marches. These are all great approaches as long as done safely and under supervision of a proper professional!
This is something I suffer from and have for many many years. I'm only into my forties and I know this is not normal. I was told my sacrum is stuck and have been going to chiro for it for a while now. Nothing else was ever prescribed for me and the pain and stuck sensation is STILL there. What can I do to get mobility back down there?
Hi guys! I have fibromyalgia and psoriatic arthritis and I need help with what I should or shouldn’t be doing, if that’s even the right way to put it lol I feel like no matter what exercises I’m doing I inflame and aggravate my muscles, ligaments and tendons, which gives me soooo much pain..I’m to the point where I feel like I can’t exercise anymore and I have been exercising for almost 22 years..I am beyond frustrated and can’t get any help from dr or physical therapist
A great place to start is with the breath! You need to get control back over that nervous system and the pain/tension you perceive. Maybe check out podcast number 11 on breath with Brian Mckenzie!
This is ludicrous: in every woman video that this woman has posted, she appears with someone identified as "Dr. Domenic Fraboni" - but it's a different man every every time!

Absolutely agree!! Thanks so much for teaching based on the science!!
What exercise can be done for this Si pain?
Check out our instagrams!

Watched your video. How do I make the pain go away. I workout so the abs are strong. Do I need to stretch more
Maybe start to check the hip mobility you have on each side and where your restrictions might be!
Hi, I have a disc bulge issue on my right side L5S1. Please help me with some stretches and exercises. Thanks
Check out our disc herniation episode!
Do you recommend chiropractic care for these SI issues?
It always depends on the chiropractor and if they give you exercises you can do on your own at home!
So what are we supposed to do???
We talk a bit more about the solutions later in the video!! :)

I would start exploring the upper back and hips. See what your restrictions might be like in these places.

He can be a bit of a shape shifter, but definitely the same Dr. Dom!
