A repeater is a way to add multiple items to your website that have a similar design but different content.
What is a data collection?

Best Wix instructional content I've come across. Thanks Wiz!
Thanks so much for your kind words!!
If I could give this video a million likes, I would. You explained so clearly. Thank you. Thank you.
Glad it helped!
thanks!, i was having a hard time to change the orther of the items. Got it with you video.
Good, and clearly explained. I'm still trying to find out how to change the dimensions of each item, so they appear more as rows than blocks.
Thanks! Both the repeater and the items can be resized by click and drag like all other WiX elements - make sure to adjust the repeater size first!
Hey! Great video, very clear and will definitely introduce load more as my items content is quite large.
I'm having a problem though as I have a collection that I would like to filter by date specified by a calendar, but can't get it to work. Any tips!
Thanks for watching! It will be hard to assist you with the filter without knowing what you have already tried. The forum would be the best place for that > www.thewixwiz.com/forum
Thanks Ethan, I find your videos very useful. It appears that repeaters do not work with document type fields in a collection, as the value of the document is the same for every row, any work around to this issue. I would very much like to use this feature to displaying documents from a dataset. thanks,
Thanks for watching! While I haven't tested your case specifically, I don't see a reason that document fields shouldn't work with repeaters. If you are using a dataset consider trying code.
Good and clearly explained! I having issues connecting my collection with the button ''read more''. It only shows an image of the article and title and that is it.. It could be realted with the repeater as well?
Thanks! Sounds like an issue with connecting the data and not the read more. You can post to the forum with screenshots for a more detailed answer: thewixwiz.com/forum
@@thewixwiz Thank you ! Keep on the good work!
Thankfully from Cambodia.
How to add galleries to describe more details to an image?
You can take a look at the different galleries and what they offer but if you can't find the option you can set up a custom gallery with a data collection and a repeater.
Thanks Bro!
Hello ! Could I connect a collection from outside of Wix collection at a repeater? With Java code ?
You can! I think you may mean JavaScript?
Thank you so much for sharing! is there a way to get the repeaters to connect to the content managers article text when clicking on container itself???
What do you mean by "connect"?
@@thewixwiz Thank you so much for replying! for example, for my website I have articles, when I click on the picture, or "read more" it will open the article text, but not when I click on the title or subtitle. what I would like is for if you click anywhere on the container describing the article for it to open the article text.
@@KyraGames The container itself is also a WiX element with an ID. All you have to do is use that elements event listener in the onItemReady for the repeater.
Thanks for valuable clip. How Can we add a link to the repeater ? If you know
Your welcome! Yes you can by adding a url field to the collection and connecting the element you want.
@@thewixwiz thank you! But I found there is no URL option on the repeater box. Where is it?
I've created my business directory using this technique! ( happy dance ) when it actually is pulled off lol. i use a form to collect that data that is then posted into my directory list. however, today my list isnt repeating. so.
I use the premade lists then connect it to the THINGIE :)
Keep up the good work!
