I'm stoked youv covered Hayden, everything he's got is incredible, and he's doing much better these days, honestly the line he's got there "how deeply green the grass must be as it calls beyond the window of a noose" is such a beautiful metaphor, to someone who has been to the bottom, not seeing a way back and the only way out, the only beauty you think you may find would be in the peace of it just ending, for good, and while it's a really sad thing to think of, but that really is somthing you consider an option, and I find that metaphor to be perfect.

I work 12-14 hours a day sometimes more 60 to 70 hours a week to make a company that made record profits last year and as a thank you I got a 0.50cent raise. While the rats at the top got fatter. The CEO just bought a new yacht.

Hey you should check out more Hill Country Devil. "Somewhere Safe and Always Quiet" "Tarot Card" or go back to his first hit "Glory" I would love to see you react to any of these, and I'm sure you will not be disappointed. A poet.....great lyricist and amazing musician that doesn't get the accolades that is deserved. Love your channel and keep up the great work.

There is so much truth in his lyrics and performance. I love his nicotine and china white album. For how horrible and screwed up the opioid crisis is, there has been a lot of painfully honest music telling the stories we need to remember. “Lest we forget to remember.”

You should do his song Somewhere Safe And Always Quiet

This poor fuckin tortured soul is brilliant. I listen to this cat sometimes and the tears just pour. I do not want to endorse drug use, but I will say under certain circumstances they allow an individual to literally open a portal where song can manifest through them from another dimension. These songs can be felt not just heard and if you have ever even peered over the edge into that dimension, you can feel this shit in your soul, now some people may not know what I am talking about, but someone out there does and I promise you, we don't have to like it. But it absolutely is the truth.

"With a bandage torn off from the chest, and an oath to stick the landing; coming down.
Oh, but pen [open, in referece to the noose] is bearing teeth, a fit of shakes and wake before the sight.
So, 'I'll only kill a part of me' - the cost to buy some shelter for the night."
is absolutely ballistic writing on so many levels - it highlights the horrible conditions addicts are subjected to post release, with a nod to the fact not everbody can pick up a pen.
Instead of writing, Hayden is saying he put himself through hell just to be comfortable. Why? Capitalism, folks.

Bottles and Bibles by Tyler Childers or any Jamey Johnson would be great! Love all the other content as well, it’s nice to see people reacting to this kind of music

I dig your reactions. You should consider doing one on To All the Girls I've loved Before by Jamey Johnson and Raul Mallo.

My biggest complaint about you all breaking it down, is you all don’t break it down for what it is. This man is drug addict, singing about be an addict in the rat race.
