This is a fine example of Layne Brain, creative genius and full of fun.

Fiddler on the Roof! next is IF I WERE A RICH MAN/GIRL | VoicePlay Feat. Ashley Diane. These boys stepped up the definition of Too Much Fun in this one. Layne aka Violayne. They film their shorts and minis in the Oviedo Mall in front of PattyCake Productions owned by Layne and business partner Tony Wakim. They do many of their videos at PattyCakes.

This was Layne's Brain child. Although I believe that Geoff suggested the violin. Layne has played violin for years. He has done it in two other Voiceplay videos, earning him the nickname VioLayne.

This was originally supposed to be one of their shorts, but Layne got too into it. Usually Eli does their special effects, but he has a brand new baby boy, so this is all Layne!
Voiceplay is the best. You youngsters not knowing this song.... sigh.
When you react to Halo, be sure to watch to the end of the outro. It says so much about Voiceplay, who they are and the kind of men they are. Really.

If you like Voiceplay, they did a very unique version of If I were a rich man/girl that you should see. They never disappoint!😊

The water drop sound is one of Layne's beatbox standards - but since he was singing, Eli did it. J None is currently singing with the US Navy - singing bass. So yeah, he goes from high tenor to bass.

This was Voiceplay having fun. Still finding new things, think I've listened to it at least a hundred times.
Congratulations on your role in Fiddler On The Roof. You should check out Voiceplay's versions of If I Were A Rich Man/Girl.
This was filmed in a mall were Patty Cake Productions is located.

As for the foreign language lyrics, the song was written by Solomon Linda in 1939 in Zulu (South African language) with added english lyrics, the song was called "Mbube".
Then in 1951 The Weavers recorded it as "Wimoweh" falling into the trap of misheard lyrics, and the term wimoweh has stuck ever since.
You can read the full story on the internet or watch YT videos on the tragic story behind the song.

I didn't know the song went through change like that I always thought that the version I heard from the 60's I believe was just an English translation of the original from 1939❕❗

Another briilliant video from the guys. Geoff doing his goofiest dance ever. LOL They always do something unexpected. Every time. Layne also played violin. They do it all themselves apart from the final mix. And they do it briliantly. Layne does a lot of the work. It's a very old song, and more recently featured in The Lion King from Disney.

Since you asked about the location - this is the mall where they film most of their 'shorts'. Layne's production studio is located there (PattyCake Productions, co-owned with former VP baritone Tony Wakim). I believe it is named Oveido Mall. While J's falsetto is impressive here (he sings bass in the US Navy choral group), Cesar's high notes here are unreal! I think you were sidelined by Geoff's bass line at the time. Watch for Cesar putting his hand up to his ear to find that note. I've no idea how high that was!
Regarding the other language, those are the lyrics of the song as long as I have known it (the '70s). I must admit however, that I do not know what Wimoweh 'means' in English.

The original song was written by Solomon Linda in 1939. The country of origin is South Africa by Linda and a group of Zulu warriors.. Pete Seeger recorded it in 1961 as did The Tokens for whom it became a #1 hit.

This is an old song originally done by The Tokens. Timon and Pumba also sang it in The Lion King. J in the gold and orange shirt really got to show off his falsetto. Recently he was reassigned by by the Navy to sing in a new group and was recast from a baritone to a bass singer. He has really been working on his range! And Cesar was responsible for those whistle tones that you can hear while Layne was playing the violin. The series is that Eli is the tenor, but they’re giving him some real competition!
Their camera person recently moved, so this And their Christmas piece was filmed with an iPhone. (The minis filmed in the mall are usually filmed with an iPhone.)

Written and recorded originally by Solomon Linda in 1939 for the South African Record Company. Original title "Mbube" and written in Zulu. English version written by George David Weiss. Recorded as "Wimoweh" by The Weavers in 1951. Recorded by lots of artists with many titles. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" by The Tokens in 1961, which I probably where I first heard it. Most people know it from "The Lion King" animated Disney movie (thank you Wikipedia).

J None's range is like all of the VoicePlay members - incredible. The US Navy has him listed as a bass now. Cesar is doing some amazing whistle notes. VioLayne is known as Layne Stein. Filmed outside the Pattycake Production studio. Look up and react to If I Were a Rich Man/Girl because it will give you a glimpse into one of the Fiddler on the Roof via VoicePlay.

When you watch the Halo Theme, DON'T FORGET VP/Geoff Watching Rule #1) WATCH TO THE VERY END! (Anyway, this is a great video. Impossible not to smile watching this! And it's a good idea to always leave the captions on for VP and Geoff. Because his wife, Kathy is dealing with hearing loss, sometimes they drop a gem into them. It is my VP/Geoff Watching Rule #2)! And if nothing else (especially in this one) it's amusing to see how they spell what they're singing.

Funny thing you asked about J None's vocal range.... Despite his beautiful falsetto here, currently he is on a hiatus with VP that he breaks when he is on a leave from his regular job... Singing *BASS* for the Navy.

Thank you Matt for another great reaction to Voice Play. Congratulations on your new adventure. Near the end of the song when Layne was playing the violin Cesar , the guy with the big hair was hitting some serious whistle notes. During a live performance with the band Chicago you can hear Cesar sing some serious whistle notes in one of Voice Plays songs. Cesar doesn't get enough credit for his range. He was also doing his whistle notes when playing the air guitar in Voice Plays cover of Hell Fire. Cesar is the most fun of the group & a total package. When you do Voice Plays cover of the Halo theme song listen till the end of the credits. In an interview with Elizabeth the Charismatic, another reactor the composer of the music said Voice Plays cover is better than his.

What's going on is they're singing a song about a lion that lives in a jungle, so they're showing jungle animals. And they're having a lot of fun so they get carried away and start dancing and prancing.

Everyone in the group is talented, but I think Layne is the most creative. He also arranged, directed and edited Halo. Another of his is Hall of the Mountain King, a piece with no lyrics. But through his arrangement, set, costuming and direction you hear the story as each persons voice and even the style of music changes as they drink from the cauldron.

Please do a reaction video to Voice Plays cover of the Halo theme song from the Halo video game. The composer of the music said it was the best he ever heard. He was truly amazed by it. Thear are no words to it but wait till you hear it. Please watch it till the credits are done rolling. There is a very important message at the end.
