@ one time O.J. seemed to have it all. He was talented, wealthy, famous, good looking, he had the world in the palm of his hand. Unfortunately he was a sociopath & murderer, he crashed and burned. Has to be one of the biggest downfalls in American history.

You'll never fully understand it if you didn't live through it. A *lot* changed in America after that trial. Like most epic moments in history, some changes were good and some were bad.
What changed?
@@cliftonharmon2403 One (of many) major changes: Prior to 1994, a "domestic" police call was generally treated as normal in a marriage. Unless there was some extreme violence seen directly by the cops, most times they'd just leave. After OJ, the US Law Enforcement went ballistic on domestic violence calls. If there was even a single scratch or bruise on the woman, the man was arrested. What you see today (stalking laws, DV procedures, restraining orders, etc.) were an *immediate direct* result of the OJ trial.
This trial was all about race. OJ skated solely because he was black.

Numerous men have been abused by their wife/gf and the police have done nothing and numerous men have been falsely arrested and convicted despite zero evidence he laid a hand on the woman all because the woman cried abuse. I've personally witnessed it. Was hanging out with one of my friends and his ex walked in uninvited and was screaming at him because she wanted him to take their child while it was her week so she could go party and he told her no and to be a mother. I watched as she walked out the door, punched herself thus leaving a mark and called the cops claiming he hit her. Even the neighbor guy witnessed her punching herself. The cops called both me and the neighbor guy a liar and threatened to arrest us for lying while he arrested my friend. Even the bs courts refused to accept my testimony and the neighbor's testimony. The jury gave my friend a guilty verdict. He spent almost 2 years locked up on a false change before his lawyer got a retail and that retail over turned the previous ruling. The most messed up thing is, his ex not only got sole custody of their child and got to keep that but also didn't get in one bit of trouble and because she was on social security due to a work related accident, she couldn't be sued and by that I mean, suing was pointless because you cannot collect lawsuit money from a person's social security.

When this happened, the awareness of domestic violence was not as prevalent as it is today. This rocked a generation and changed how we viewed women living in violent relationships.

He was a football star, a comedic actor and a violent domestic abuser. He nearly cut off a woman's head and left her body in a blood-filled yard while his two little children were left unattended in the house. The only reason the children didn't find their mother that way is because the family dog saw the whole thing and went to get help before the kids woke up. He then famously drove around for hours garnering sympathy from the public and convincing everyone that he's the real victim. The police took pictures with him and asked for signed autographs. Finally... justice for Nicole and Ron. Thank God for one less psychopath in this world.

Adjusted for inflation with added interest they were awarded $200 million dollars from OJ in 1997....they got a large chunk of this money in 2008 when they won control of all the revenue and legal rights from the sale of the OJ Book, titled IF I did it, the Goldmans/Browns shrunk the word If on the front cover and made millions but have not been fully paid off. So at least they got something.
Still funny how a celebrity trial can last 11 months and a everyday Joe trial is like 3 days or less…

@@frankpulice7477 That was part of the problem...if you remember, F.Lee Bailey brought up the idea, that Mark Furhman had hid the glove in his sock.... apparently, those in military had a habit of stuffing items (such as cigarettes in their socks).
The other issue was, that Furhman had jumped the fence "prematurely", to access the Simpson property, and planted the glove as evidence.
It didn't help that Furhman had admitted a request for transfer, because of his prejudice against blacks.

It also brings to light that domestic violence comes from all walks of life . Rich,poor, celebrities ,and any nationality can produce domestic violence. Men although at a lower percentage also suffer domestic abuse .Unlike COVID 19 we do not have a vaccine to end Domestic violence.But we must all come together as community members to become that Vaccine .Women need to know that there is a better life then to remain in these abusive relationships. Men need to address their abusive behavior and take responsibility for their actions.
