Wonderful new innovative music which I heard today on Ian Skelly's Radio Three Essential Classics. Dobrinka Tabakova certainly gets my applause and following. I want to hear all that she has composed. Fascinating.

I heard this piece yesterday on Maine Public Radio while driving. I had to listen to it again. Love it.

Built around one chord, this music is very simple, basic, largely pentatonic. Personally I prefer something a little more challenging, however, I wish the composer well. For those who want to make composing their career, getting their music performed these days is becoming more and more difficult and discouraging.

Before I would sit down to write a cello concerto I would go back and see what I could learn from Haydn.
