Wednesday is knitting day for Anita and I am left to my own devices.
I went down to the small beach in Portals Nous and made my way arounf the "dangerous" headland.
Down to the new bar run by the church, along the beach into the port.
I managed to make it to the end seeing the boats get bigger as I made my way along.
My return took me up the hill and through the village.
Lots to see in this one!!!
Thanks for watching.

Great walk. Thank you.
Lots of ups and downs.
Many thanks for showing us your walk today. It is a very pretty place to live and a lovely beach
Keep safe and well
Thank you Neil.
Love this little video on portals nous. I live the place, that little hut on the first beach used to be a shack, you could get a can of beer for 2euro and sit in the beach, now its 7 euro for a paper cup of beer. Doesn't make it any less beautiful, but it shows how much tourism has driven costs up.
That is where we first lived in 1985.
Great walk Steve. This was very helpful. I'm staying in Portals Nous in May and this really gave me a good indication of what the place is like.
It's where we used to live.
What a fantastic walk. Craggy beach at the beginning of portals was lovely even though I’m not a huge fan of beaches. Great to see the Jacaranda trees along with the bougainvillea, mine is in full flower at the moment. When you have time maybe you could find some vintage photos of the area, perhaps something to do in the winter. Great video Steve thanks.
We have boxes of photos that I need to go through.
Looking forward to doing this walk myself next week! Thanks for the video
My pleasure
Majorca is beautiful
It is.
Fantastic walk today Steve. Great to see new places. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers 🍻
Glad you enjoyed it Chris.
Lovely picturesque walk, little uneven looking as you said but looks well worth the effort take care
It's not too difficult.
My husband wouldn't walk it although I knew because of your walks we would get through.😂
If you are careful there is no problem.
Lovely to watch. I've never been to this part of the island. The yacht called Hampshire is owned by British billionaire Andrew Currie.
He is part of Ineos, who have a base in Mallorca for the Americas Cup.
Great video Steve, very insightful. Interesting to hear about your yacht engineering days. I too remember 'before' Portals. Always enjoyed spotting celebs in the cafes and restaurants. Have seen some sights over the years! Hope to see you in Santa Ponsa in July!
I was only a "yacht engineer" for a few weeks, but have fond memories. Hope to see you in July.
By the way meant to thank you for the hint on 50c for the toilet
Always good to know.
We stayed in illetes many years ago
We have watched it grow over the years.
@@SteveandAnitainMallorca it was very basic when we stayed there just 1shop
Who owns that boat at the end
Andrew Currie from Ineos
We are in the wrong business 😅
Couldn't even afford half of some of the prices 😂
It's fun to look though.
Ritzy is lovely we always share a pizza and have a drink each about 40 euro
We must save up and give it a try.
Y como llegan a esas barcas y zodiac hay en medio del agua 🙄
Ellos nadan, o tienen un barco más pequeño.
😂 hanging bags off trees
That's pretty much how it was when we arrived on the island. If you left them on the floor the cats would tear them apart.
@@SteveandAnitainMallorca goodness and there were a lot of wild cats about in those days
