Steve and Anita , it is so nice to hear from you. I do hope we will be able to come back visiting hotel Ponent Mar in Palma Nova . Maybe in september. 🙂🙂
Loving your story. So good to see Anita joining you. Fantastic story. Cheers Anita...love to see you with a glass of vino! A woman after my own heart! Jakki x
Great to see Anita in the videos.. Seems to me you had a lot of lucky meetings with people who had just what you needed,car/chalet/house. But you seem like once your a friend your a friend for life. Can't wait for part 3 Keep safe
Sounds like you lived very near the hotel we first stayed in lower Portals. Awesome hot dogs and Tom Collins! They played music on weekends we could hear all the way in upper Portals on the hill. We used to snorkel out to the cave under the point of that small beach, climb up the stairs and dive for a while.
Thank you so much to everyone for the heartwarming comments.. I loved telling our story and reading all your wonderful comments. Thank you and see you again soon.x
Ive been waiting to see this since the first video, and really great to see Anita joining you. Anita, if you were nervous, it didnt show at all and I cant wait to see part 3
Hi Steve Anita, thank you for your videos, fab thank you to you both , not long and will be there 1st june to open the house up , what I’ve not been to for a very long time 😉 Anita you don’t look nervous, great job 😊😊😊😊😊
Lovely to see Anita joining in on the story! Part 3 after this one. Sunday morning catch up. Laughed about the creepy crawlies, gosh we've seen some whoppers!
They say behind every great man theres a great woman & anita's just proved that (keep appearing in the videos) you both appear so happy nice to see....was shocked when you both confessed to leaving the old car at the airport!!!!! Cant wait for part 3
Funny how everything fell into place for you - life in Mallorca was your destiny. Some things are just ‘meant to be’! We used to have a house in Italy and you daren’t leave a spot of jam on the table unless you wanted an ant invasion! Looking forward to part 3 - loved hearing your stories too Anita!
We loved part 2 as much as part 1. Thanks both. Anita, it must be SO rewarding to have a music pupil who goes on to be a professional musician. Makes your work worth it’s weight in gold.
You’re absolutely adorable, I love your story. I’m currently living in the UK but the weather is something I couldn’t get used to over the past 13 years and so I’m thinking about Mallorca. I’m a bit worried about learning Spanish/Catalan though. We shall see!
Steve and Anita its been such a great insight into living in Mallorca - My husband and I have plans to live there at some stage ( elderly parents being cared for at present ). We hope to live over in Cas Concos / Felanitx - our Mallorcan friends are very encouraging - your videos keep us both sane and its the nearest we can get to Mallorca right now - thank you
Great videos always wondered about how and when you two got to Majorca. My and i have been going to Palma Nova for 16 year's we love it. Portia and Tony
Sant Agustin is indeed quite hilly and gets quite steep, as I discovered when going to see apartments. Definitely need a car these days, if living on one of those steep hills 75 steps! Omg that is awful about your wife falling and hitting her head.
Although we love Ibiza best, I am enjoying your videos and have spent time in Palma and travelled around the island. As former teachers, would you advise families to move to Majorca bearing in mind the very high youth unemployment in Spain? I often see internet posts from people desperate to move to Ibiza, but much as I love it there, I’m not sure I’d move older children or teenagers over there. I would love to hear your views on this, having lived over there for so long.
Moving children at any age is a issue. Younger the better, that way you can get them into the Spanish system without too much pain. Older children would find it easier with an international school, but that will be expensive. As for jobs, that will be very difficult if you have a UK passport. Brexit has made it almost impossibe for younsters to get a job here. No more coming over for the summer and working in a bar... at least not legally.
@@SteveandAnitainMallorca Yes definitely. Also, Spanish children have to move to the mainland from Ibiza to go to university which we were told by our hotel receptionist is very costly. Of course, they very rarely come back as jobs are scarce.
@@annechamberlain3320 Mallorca is so much bigger and, therefore, more opportunities, but unemployment is very high and it will take a long time to get over the effects of covid. Anyone planning to come over now would need to do a lot of research, and have deep pockets.
Fantastic video again. So fascinating hearing about your adventures. Don’t be nervous Anita you were a natural. Thank the 2 of you for sharing with us
Glad you enjoyed it Tommy.

You don't need to worry about the language here.
@@SteveandAnitainMallorca also when it comes to the authorities? Can you get by with English or German?
@@blueskyalldayeveryday It helps to have some Spanish. It will depend on the person behind the desk. Many speak some English and will try.
