You need to trap at top speed and most cars reach it and fade out to soon before they reach the terminal, so they have to time the distance perfect, he could launch harder down to a clean 1.6 sec 60ft but by the time he reaches the end the car will have heat soaked and lost top speed... So hense why he drove forward ie a know marker or a tree and took off because that's the exact distance till the terminal

That must be an error. You cant accelerate faster than the earth is pulling you towards it. If you apply an acceleration of more than 1g to the tyres even if they had perfect grip they would start to spin. You can only accelerate as fast as you can break and even with racing slicks thats never more than 1g

Probably not that fast because it's traction-limited with tires. When you have that much power, you can only use a small fraction before your driven wheels start slipping, therefore reducing the force you put to the ground.
When you have a car with 2000hp and you floor the gas pedal... it reaches 100km/h in 1 second and that is just dumb if you consider tyre spinnin' for nothing
It loses so much time to shifting. I’m guessing one of those super fast double clutch gearboxes you find on supercars would probably crumble under this kind of power but imagine how fast it would be if it could keep power on the wheels constantly.
@@nihlhinz488 Bugatti Chiron has a dual clutch so it can definitely be done, that gearbox can handle 2000hp but they probably need to limit the torque. It's probably hard to make it fit aswell in this rear engine car.
