Excellent video. I looked at it because I was trying to determine if frames were assembled with wood glue as you would in furniture. If you put a muff on your microphone or some type of sound absorbtion, the background noise will be diminished. I truely appreciate your not adding irrelevant background music
Thanks for this excellent tutorial. I'm just contemplating to start making my own canvases and this video is really helpful. I was just wondering at what size would you start using centre bars?
I normally use centre supports for canvasses that are approx 36 inches wide. I use a deep frame so the wood doesn’t flex that easily. If you’re using a narrow wood thickness then it depends. It could also depend on the thickness of your canvas as some canvasses need pulling really tightly and this exerts a lot of pressure on the bars whereas some don’ t.
Thank you for the positive feedback! I do apologise for the interruption in the explanation but I do the video was able to help you! Please let me know if you need any assistance or advice! Thank you! Nishad.
Thank you for this video!! I ordered canvas stretcher bars from Michael’s and they came with NO instructions. Very helpful, thank you!
Hi! Thanks for your video, I'd never done this before and I successfully assembled my canvas today using your method, it looks pretty good!
Would like to see close up of staple placement in corners as I have never done this before

Thank you for the great information. It was a bit hard to hear you in the first half of the video with either traffic or airplanes flying over.

Where do you buy your stretcher bars?
Sometimes I make them myself and then on other occasions I buy from cowling and Wilcox.
