Paschal McCloskey - JA Business Hall of Fame 2018

In 1985 Paschal McCloskey founded McCloskey International, a custom
fabrication and design company in Ajax, Ontario. A true innovator in his
industry, Paschal’s line of trommels which was developed in the late
80’s, lead the company through steady growth and expansion. In 1998
McCloskey International purchased land in Otonabee-South Monaghan
and began the process of transferring their manufacturing facility to the
area. By 2000 the move was completed and dozens of employees made
the move with the company. McCloskey International has only continued
to grow, acquiring Viper International in 2004 and boasting approximately
380 skilled employees in Ontario alone. The company now boasts locations in Northern Ireland, Otonabee-South Monaghan and Wisconsin. Committed to being true local, national and global citizens, McCloskey International contributes to our community in a variety of ways, partnering with local suppliers, using local companies to design, develop and build their ever-expanding premises and partnering with Fleming College to provide exciting hands-on opportunities in the manufacturing trades. With an active policy of corporate philanthropy, Paschal McCloskey has used his thriving business
to give back to the Peterborough community.
