For a cheap filler in the bottom of the case, I've started to use melted parrafin candle wax. Use silicone to fill any holes that would leak since melted wax is fluid like water. It only costs me $2 per keyboard. I found $5 one pound blocks at my local hobby store. It's non-conductive, non-toxic, and reusable. It can be remelted and poured over and over again.
I think the switches are akko rose re- outemu blues for real i think they are jwk ultimate blacks as they sound clacky, smooth and the color under the caps are black
You used paper tape instead of PTFE as well, which is the issue. PTFE is super slippery stuff. Maybe try plumbers teflon tape instead, also usually cheap, and see how that works? Now I'm curious too, wondering if the dry hump mod would work with teflon tape. Just don't use paper tape, thin is ok but it's sticky all over, not slick. So instead of lubing, it sounds like your stabs are just full of gunk. I think that's where it went wrong. Use the paper tape on the pennies and the back of the PCB, not someplace you want smooth movement.
This is basically what went wrong for him with stabs -- point of the dry hump is to use something that has the lubricating effect of oil/grease, but dry -- hence PTFE tapes. Definitely NOT bandaids. Thockpop's guide on this actually uses both fiberglass and teflon varieties -- fiberglass for the housing, and teflon for the bars. Personally, I haven't had much success with this, and find traditional lube a lot less of a hassle (except for the occasional mess).
Lewis at the bank exchanging the $20 into 5c be like Him: hi I need to exchange these for a lot of 5c coins Banker: why Him: I just need to put it in my keyboard Banker: why????
This is such a pretty keyboard, the colour palette you went with is so soothing. For the switch guess, I'd say it's the Everglide Aqua Kings. Hope I can win this and make it my first ever keyboard!
Going against keybored in the sound department is GG honestly. Man's basically a keyboard sound engineer. Also I'mma guess your using some black ink v2??
you should do a modding vid of the rk68 pro it is fully aluminum and only 70 bucks, there surprisingly arent many videos on it only one about modding it.
I've been watching since I've gotten into custom keyboards back in November 2021 and most of your videos have been a guide in making my RK61 look and sound like a premium build. Love the aesthetics of all builds! As for the switches, I wanna guess Gateron Milky Yellows.
For the switches my guess is Everglide aquakings. As for the challenge board gotta agree for looks you need new keycaps. Also learned about some alternative no lube mods that was interesting. Glad to know you have things under control on the hacking subject, gotta beef up that security and get some quadruple authentication factor I guess hehe
@@dico8199 it sounds like 50% ink blacks (i think), and lewis did mention jwk ultimate blacks did sound like 50% of ink blacks in his top 5 switches video
im not too sure about the switches but i think either akko speed silvers or jelly blacks and i am planning to make a custom keeb for my brother but i dont know which one yet
Nice vid Mate Only thing, kinda weird to recommend against the dry H.U.M.P. when… you didn’t do it with any PTFE tape and all that. Can’t imagine Micropore has the same properties as PTFE

I think the switch was Akko Jelly Black. Well now I learned that you need to tape the penny or else the penny will shake crazy.
Going against keybored in the sound department is GG honestly. Man's basically a keyboard sound engineer.
Also I'mma guess your using some black ink v2??
Yeah he's basically a god when it comes to sound modding
"Aerospace" keyboard sound engineer. This is like facing against DS boss with three BS phases.
Congrats on winning! For the switches, I think it can be a Durock POM because of the very clacky sound profile
you should do a modding vid of the rk68 pro it is fully aluminum and only 70 bucks, there surprisingly arent many videos on it only one about modding it.

yess, i've been wanting another one of these. love these collab challenges
For the switch, I'm going to have to go with Everglide Aqua kings as they do have that sound signature as I main them.
i like how all of these sound nicer than my keeb
Lewis needs more subs. The switches sound like jailhouse modded blues
I think the switches are Tecsee Ice Candies and congrats on best looks
kinda sounds like either an akko jelly black or an akko jelly starfish hmmm
For the switches my guess is Everglide aquakings. As for the challenge board gotta agree for looks you need new keycaps. Also learned about some alternative no lube mods that was interesting. I predict the switches are JWK Ultimate Blacks, your 3rd most preferred switch.

I think the switches are the Akko Vintage Whites.
Deeper clack and higher pitch release. (could be many switches tbh)
Akko vintage white, and yeah it was the best looking, but how did you make the akko rose reds sound poppy?
I think they are aqua kings anyways gg
Nice job! That penny mod was funny as well! I think the switches were tecsee ice candies
Nice ping on those rose reds, you could've at least covered it with super lube or something... Just see what Hipyo's keyboard...
for the switch imma guess alpacas
