This was so great! Pity the audience was dead. I loved Anya, she was really funny! And Sweet really has some pipes on her!
I've watched a few different live versions of this production and even though there are a few things that are quirky (like the Buffy wig), they all did a great performance. The one thing I find the most disturbing though is that the audience didn't seem to know what was going on. Their loss, not ours. Overall, I enjoyed it. Wish I could have been there to see it live.

They're so talented! Congrats! I really liked it! I'm Italian and I saw this episode just a few times but I have really to admit that this play totally looks like the original😊 you're great guys!
But that Buffy wig though.... girl just bleach your hair it's worth it.
DAAMN... Even here, once you start watching even a little, you just cannot stop and you get your heart visit heaven, hell and all between. Buffy (and Angel) were and are the best that TV has ever broadcasted and this was the top of Buffy.
Its criminal that they havent published quality bluray version of Buffy. Although I wouldnt want to watch 16:9 Buffy cos it was filmed for 4:3. However, there should HD versions for both ratios. Lets hope that they would listen us fans someday.

Spike sounds more like Wesley ha ha, but if a posh accent. Good production though, looks like it was fun :).

+The Eyrie (Aquila Edwards) accutally James Marsters (Spike in the Buffy series and Angel) was born and raised in Modesto California.He got his accent from Tony Head (Giles)!

Dawn was kind of aggressive, and the buffy wig was kind of disturbing, for more active audience you probably should have told them about the 'previous' stuff and how they have build up stuff... but for the rest this is the best production I have found on youtube!

Wow. The Spike actor managed to drain the life out of Let me Rest in Peace. No small feat. Maybe 'Berklee' isn't as prestigious as common perception would have us believe.

I'm guessing you guys didn't get the rights for it and just took your chances? I've been wanting to do this for a while but Fox will not give over the rights.
I was reading through the comments to see if anyone had mentioned this. I proposed the idea to my director and she said, "Sure, like Joss Whedon would give us the rights." If it were just about Joss, he would probably dig it...but if it's Fox... :-l
I think most just wing it, as long as you aren't doing it on Broadway, you should be fine.
I hate to be harsh but this was not up to the standards that Whedon deserves. This is a lot, lot, lot of difficult work, but, not a polished end product There are plenty of reasons that might have happened in the realities of time and cost so you get some slack. Nonetheless take a look at the Portland production (find the 49:17 length one), which even after subtracting the empowering audience, is far, far stronger.
I suppose this should be looked upon just for what it is, a student production, that had to "go to press" at the end of a semester; not fully prime time yet; and hopefully an impacting learning experience for all involved. Especially for the sound technicians. I know it's difficult, I've been there - it's *very* difficult, and sometimes you simply and unfairly don't get the several tries needed to fix the bugs. But those bugs abound here. Wince and learn from it.

This would never be up to Whedon expectation. 1.Anya is blonde 2.Horrible Buffy Wig 3.Dawn brown LONG hair 4.spike has beach blonde hair 😍 not grey👴🏻 5.Will wasn't supposed to sing in the song I'm under your spell 6.The demon is a man 7.Giles is from England and yea..... 8.There voices are not on point except the "demon" her voice was the only one on point!
I agree but it is a college play and not suppose to be perfect but its cool that they did it at all but yeah

I can forgive all of that, but...they replaced Sweet's three ventriloquist dummy goons with one Grim Reaper! I can look at skull faces all day, but it takes a ventriloquist dummy's nakedly unnatural face to creep me right the hell out! o_O
