BTW: If anyone is interested in the film I made, long ago, you can see info here... just don't try to process any orders, because you won't receive anything. :) lessonindiplomacy.com/
Thank you for showcasing our game Charlie! We will keep adding content and improving everything you have seen in the demo, the community's feedback is helping us a lot so more exposure means more help for us! Best regards, Super Sly Fox
One thing I liked about The Movies game is you could have a generic "stage" set that could be used as a general purpose set, and actors could practice comedy when it wasn't being used for shooting.
Having played Lionheads "The Movies" this demo certainly ticks all the right boxes. Really liked how the earlier game allowed for the control of each scene/actors/cameras/sound/dialogue etc and yes this is an early demo so obviously those kind of controls aren't there.....yet, some are but hopefully there will be a more detailed control in the future. You can view your film too, on the left hand side by the stars where it says produced, click that and you can see rhe films youve created and watch it..
OOOOOO neat! Cant wait for the next big series. I hope you get the time to check out Miasma Chronicles soon. A few weeks ago on a live stream you mentioned a special NDA project... What is it?! s/
Hi Charlie. Thanks for showing this demo. I had already placed this game on my steam wishlist and forgot all about it. Now I see it, I get excited to try it myself. I too loved the old game The Movies and this def looks a lot like it. I m looking forward to making movies as a movie studio and with all the tools that you can adjust.
Actually, it is a very interesting game and i'm glad you started to play it. Especially it was very interesting to see how you set up all those sets. Looking forward to seeing the continuatuon.
This kind of looks like The Movies that came out in 2005 but with a cartoony style. I would recomand anyone The Movies cuz it was always fun to watch but you would only get old vids saddly and I think the gaming company has shut down so no sequels ;(
Have to be careful with immediately resorting to "rip off" as a description here. Just because something has the same theme, doesn't mean it's a rip off, even when it's in an identical genre. Iterations and interpretations on an idea allow for differentiation and artistic difference to exist. This is a VERY simplified look at a game that is nowhere near complete, so before hating on it, give it a chance to prove why it deserves to at least exist. :)
@@CharliePryor It has the same basic game mechanics.... go play The original game Charlie... I'm comfortable with the term I chose... let's put it this way if I owned Lionhead Studios back catalogue IPs I'd be retaining the services of a lawyer

I went to school for filmmaking but I never finished. what movies you work on?
This reminds me of a game called The Movies that I played a long time ago
That’s because it’s basically the same game
Reminds me of The Movies, kind of an old game by now but man was that a great one! Can't wait to see what the devs will create with this project
I remember playing it so much as a kid. I absolutely loved it.
this game is inspired by the movies btw

Looks cool! Will be interesting to see how they flesh it out.
At first glance looks like a promising game
Oh wow this game looks so interesting. Seems like my kinda game thanks for sharing it with us 🙂 I really like the set designer aspect of the game too.

What's great is you can put a second desk in a 5x4 room and then two people can work there. :)

It's so so fun!!!! keen for the full game
Looking forward on how this one develops, going to give the demo a go😁
YASS! I have been waiting for a new movie maker game!! I used to watch a bunch of The Movies
So, they are re releasing the movies!
*halfway the video* only way better!

They are making a new game that's basically a The Movies remake? Heck yes.
Sign me up! I wonder who at Paradox I can put my bank account info to? The menus look like from the Sims, COOL! Hoping this comes to console!
hold on there was a demo long ago
Make more pls
Is this developer in any way connected to Eggcode(mad game tycoon)?
Hey there! We are not, but Eggcode has done a great job with their games.
This was the super secret project disappointed 😂😂😂
Never said that. :P
So it basically looks like a rip off of Lionhead Studios The Movies from 2006

Yeah, "The Movies" looked better, way better for 2006.
