    Thank you so much for putting this video together. I've been trying to find out information on PCSing on the civilian side, because my husband was just referred for a position at Osan Air Base in South Korea. My husband worked in South Korea back when he was in the army, But was medically discharged. So he started working contractor jobs and then eventually got into the government circuit which we're in now. We have never PCSed as civilians before, So getting information from a fellow civilian is a huge help. Keep on doing what you're doing, I will definitely continue to follow. Hopefully in the next few months we should have word that will be headed to South Korea.

      If you get PCS orders, your car will be apart of shipment on your orders. From experience with individuals who have brought an animal they have to pay separately but make sure they have all shots, paperwork completed.

    Hi, thank so much for this video. I was DOD civilian until 2016 when I transferred to the Department of Veteran Affairs. I actually work at Landstuhl and in Vilseck about 9 years ago. I received a tentative offer for a position in Vilseck and I’m interested in knowing how much things have changed. I should be receiving my official offer soon and this time I will be traveling with a child 😱. I look forward to watching your videos to see if my questions are answered

    Hello I love your videos. I'm just beginning the DoD civilian process. Benefit wise..is the LQA only for overseas or is it granted for the U.S as well that's not considered overseas. Also are Dod civilians allowed to live on post?

    • @shesgoingplaces8847
      @shesgoingplaces8847  3 года назад +2

      Hello! Thank you!!! I’ve only seen job offers state side that will only do PCS move not LQA but overseas yes depends on rank etc. When applying for job it will specify. Here in Germany civilians can not live on post. Once HR works with you, you’ll be directed to housing and start searching on moves.mil

    • @shesgoingplaces8847

      This was during Covid, so it took months because I had to get an exceptional letter. The people that’s coming now taking 2-3 months. For overseas jobs you need an official passport for you and dependents on orders. Official passports can take 6-8 weeks. In the mist you’ll have order first so you can still get household and car shipped out.

    Question. I used to live in Germany while I was in the Army and would like to go back. I currently a Gov employee, but not DOD. If I could get a position that is authorized PCS OCONUS. Does the DOD assit with the selling of your current home? I know in the Bureau of Prisons if you are selected for a new position (generally GS11 or higher) they assist with selling your house, even covering a portion of closing. I hope this makes sense. Thanks.
