    Thank you for this video. We are at fort carson too and I had no idea what to do in order to start the process for me and my girls, plus my husband is deployed doesn’t help. But now now I have a better panorama with your video.

    The DN888 was completed my our efmp office . But they haven’t given us further information on what to do next . Does my husband has to get the levy package now ? On the efmp package website it says we gotta submit some forms but we don’t know which one . Does the S1 help with that as well ?

      Yes your point of contact will be your units s1 shop. Things changed slightly with the IPS-a roll out. It used to be where you would go to s1 with your da 5888 form and request command sponsorship. It looks like you are now going to just request orders on ipsa once the da form 5888 has been completed and sent to the receiving units g1. Your hard orders will then be cut with the entire family listed. I highly recommend going to your units s1. They will have those answers on the next steps.
      But you do need to go to the levy briefing!! They may go through all of that in the meeting. They will go over your allowances and move process.

    Hi, do you by any chance have a POC for HI command sponsorship? Who did you send the cmd sponsorship request thru for approval?

    • @theWiggyFamily
      @theWiggyFamily  4 месяца назад

      There is no POC for the command sponsorship as a whole. Your contact will be the sponsor's Unit's S1 office. Everything is now on IPSA, but your unit's S1 office is still the place to go once you have completed the EFMP process. They will walk you through the command sponsorship process that is on IPSA.

    We’re going to Schofield and my husband has been at ait since graduation May 3rd. He has a concurrent family travel and basically he’s been stuck there until I get command sponsorship to move together. Any ideas why your situation was different? Thanks

      Well it's been almost two years since John was in Osut and many things changed with the ippsa rollout. Consider it a blessing that it has changed. There were many families in our situation where the spouse was shipped out to Hawaii and then started the command sponsorship process only to have the family denied the medical screening. This happened to a friend and it meant he then had a 3-year tour without his family. And if you don't get command sponsorship it's almost impossible to get Hawaii BAH or moving expenses covered. Hopefully, the army has learned what they put other families through. Good luck!

    My husband got something saying he’s going to Korea for a year. Could we still get commands sponsorship?

    • @theWiggyFamily
      @theWiggyFamily  3 месяца назад

      If it’s only for one year then no 😔. Sorry to say. It has to be a three year tour to get command sponsorship. One year in Korea is an unaccompanied tour. But look into special leave he can get and he should have top priority on the patriot express to visit you.

      Yes she should! She could talk to them to make sure.
      And if not, personally I went through an army efmp office that was pretty far away. I never had to actually go in person and just did everything through phone calls and email.

    • @theWiggyFamily
      @theWiggyFamily  Год назад +2

      So the travel screening may lead to an EFMP. It is confusing in the fact that the family travel screening is done by the EFMP office, but it is not the same as being in the EFMProgram per say. The screening may result in requiring a family to enter into the Exceptional Family Member Program. But this is not common. Usually once the family passes the screening they will receive their 5888 and be able to move forward with requesting command sponsorship.
