- The feedback and appreciation for my brief role as Mike Gomes in what is officially my first Hindi film release, The Archies, has been very positive and overwhelming. In this video, I want to say thank you to everyone who has messaged, called, commented on RUclips and tagged me on social media.
I also want to address the term 'nepo kid' that some have labelled me with.

Jamie Bhai, have been a big fan both of Tom Alter, and of your RUclips channel - esp your insights on 90s film (as I also grew up on 90s Hindi films 😁) and sports journalism. I watched The Archies and I really loved the Anglo-Indian representation in it so much. Loved your role as Gomes!! You didn't have many dialogues but still it was so impactful. I remember while watching your important scene towards the end, my friends and I were cheering! Great job and hope to see you succeed and grow further.

I am watching the movie right now and had no idea you were in it nor did I expect to see you. However, as I started watching it, for some reason I was reminded of you and wanted to see if you had said anything about it on your channel, so I decided to wait until after the movie was over. But as soon as I saw you on screen, I was pleasantly surprised and just had to pause and look up your channel!

It's a pity that somebody as good and as accomplished as you, Jamie, has to go through four auditions and some of those Archies kids were handed it on a platter. That's nepotism right there. I have just seen 10 minutes of that film (couldn't stand it beyond that) and didn't see you or even know that you were in the film. But I am pretty sure you were one of the best things about it. That movie is yet another burning example of why Bollywood needs to get rid of its nepotistic ways if it wants to make respectable films.
And yet I am so easily labeled a product of nepotism.
