It would pretty cool if these toy companies reached out to well known top reviewers and collectors like yourself providing prototypes to get feedback and suggestions before releasing these to everyone else. You had good points on the cons that could have been fixed or looked at. No spikes on shoulders,no head articulation,light up feature setup,spears at the end of chain are heavy,etc.
That would never be Mezco.

Well, it does have head articulation just not with the light up feature. Just to be clear.
My main problem is the head, it’s a little too big in my opinion, and the no head articulation is a big miss in mezco’s part. I say just get rid of the light up feature entirely and make the head actually poseable. Otherwise it’s pretty good
For the price the light up feature is an absolute must. For me. But I am disappointed with the fathead and way too mid of body or costume details.
id say the light up future is pretty much useless, sacrificing head articulation for a dim light that wouldn't be noticed in 90% of displayes
Not trying to be negative but considering the price and the long wait, I wouldn't say the figure is really worth it, in my opinion. The hellcycle and the accessories sort of make up for it but it's not cool the figure itself feels lacking like this. I guess it depends on personal taste. Good review and great size comparisons, quite a ride!😆
It's a shame he doesn't have an optional wind swept head for when he's on the bike. Seems like a missed opportunity on Mezcos part.
Yeah im like you, i wish they had either went full Danny Ketch: (spikes on the shoulders and wrist, gray pantt, chains…)
Or full Johnny Blaze:( white rectangle on the torso, maybe blue leotard)

The Haslab I wish we were offered. Great review, and since you mentioned the size of the zipper on the jacket I can't take my eyes of it. Damn you!!!! Ahahahaha. You are 100% right - this would look good in any display.
Man I'm on the fence on this one. I pre-ordered it but not sure if I should keep it. Looks cool but the articulation is kind of a letdown. Especially the head movement. Could care less about the light gimmick. Was never a fan of the motorcycle choice, but it seems ok. Like others have mentioned, the bike should have been a chopper. Also I wonder how long will that fabric hold up. Makes me kinda nervous for how expensive it is. Thanks for doing a proper review on it! Been looking forward to this figure, but I may pass on it. We still need a definitive ghost rider figure, and it really shouldn't be that hard to accomplish.
Johnny Blaze will always be my Ghost Rider I could not care less about the others except for maybe Carter Slade

I genuinely think that only 90s kids care about Danny Ketch, but the way they talk about Danny Ketch you’d think he was the main Ghost Rider lol. Older people? Johnny is their Ghost Rider. Young adults? Johnny is their ghost rider. That small group of 35-45 year olds? Danny Ketch is their Ghost Rider

The skull looks open or broken. Which isn’t Ghost Rider. Who should be an unbroken pristine skull surrounded by fire. And the bike is kind of awful. It looks some some modern high tech batcycle. Ghost Riders bike should be a classic American bike, preferably a chopper.
Hot take but I’d say this ghost rider is a bigger disappointment than 89 Batman lol. Glad you like it tho but at this point i might just have to make my own Johnny for the shelf, not impressed with anything here besides the skull head

For a more classic inspired Johnny Blaze Ghost rider this does look really nice. Now if they did Danny Ketch, then we'd get that spike look.

I had that toy biz vengeance figure as a kid. Used him as a villain to all my figures. Such an awesome figure. Seeing it took me back 15 years.

the spike design belongs to his brother i thought. which would be cool to get one of him and maybe since mezco does both dc and marvel they do a speed demon.
I remember making a custom chain for the rhino baf Ghost Rider by running a wire through it exactly the same way. Something amusing with that being their solution too.
I wish they did a specific ghost rider I don’t like this bike very much an American chopper or Danny ketch’s bike would’ve been way cooler but alas it’s still awesome

Dude your lighting and display for this video is incredible. I love the reflective surface, the bottom-lit colored background and the even lighting on the front of the figure and your hands throughout the video. Looks so damn clean and punchy. I'd love to see the set up of everything zoomed out- great video and review man thanks for sharing

I don't understand the hype about this Ghost Rider. He has a great head sculpt but, otherwise he is EXTREMELY basic and plain. The design of the bike is blah as well
I haven’t see a lot of hype really. Generally, it seems like people are disappointed hahaha. Even in this review, I said I liked it but there are a lot of things they could have down better. Thanks for watching

Great Review Wade. The figure looks cool. I agree spikes would have been cool to add but this guy may not be right for me. Just the way you handle him. It really seems your on eggshells when your moving him around. If you're going to have him as a display piece you might as well have gotten a statue. That's just my opinion.

Alot of people ive seen are confusing danny and johnny together johnny doesn’t have spikes only danny does which is the ghost rider most ppl acknowledge
Kinda happy i skipped on this figure, because the BBTS exclusive looks amazing, it comes with a possible chain and as someone who got introduced to Ghost Rider from the movie. The BBTS comes with not 1 but 2 SHOTGUNS im excited
It's a shame he doesn't have a flaming screaming head where the flames are moving in the same direction as the flames on the wheels

Why? The figure isn’t accurate to any Ghost Rider costume, it has bad articulation, it doesn’t properly fit on the bike, and it comes with a small amount of accessories.

@@Atrav7 The original retail price was $240. It’s out of stock though so the only way to get it now is to pay even more on the aftermarket. The issues I outlined shouldn’t exist at this price point
I haven't opened mine yet. I wanted the Marvel Legends Hellcycle since I started collecting but never pulled the trigger, then when after I pre-ordered the mezco I had no reason to get it.

Easy pass... dude with a flaming helmet on a modded Yamaha VMax... would be cool if it were an actual person with actual flames but as a toy this is not Ghost Rider...
Maybe if the head were swapped with Frank Castle's holding a shotgun would look better..? I dunno, not for me 🤷🏻♂️

Honestly, I think I preordered it before I became more strict about my purchases and when it started to ship, I didn’t see anything that made me hate it so I kept my order. I’m happy with it, could have been way better for sure but it’s ok, looks awesome on the shelf
The figure’s feet being unable to reach the handlebars is unacceptable. If this was Hasbro people would be calling for their heads
Two and a half years since the pre-order, even longer since it was first shown and no one thought to make sure that the figure could reach the pedals. For the life of me I can't understand the way Mezco operates.

This is the first comics version : no spikes on the shoulders. It's accurate.
His first appearance is a completely different look though

I have this figure and it’s amazing in my lighting. Mezco is a hit or miss for me with their fabric, but this one is fire.
How does the Marvel legends GR look on the bike. They have the one that came out for the retro card now and im curious if it works with that bike?

Ghost rider is my favorite character from marvel I would probably get this just because how much I love Ghost rider and the articulation isnt disappointing either so its very good figure for me

It was shown close to 4 years ago, maybe that’s where I got mixed up. I remember seeing it on toyfair of 2020 and it had been shown before that. Doesn’t matter, still a very long time
Man really on the fence on picking this figure up, pay 200+ for a mezco figure not really worth that, or pay 100+ for an aftermarket legends that’s not worth that …. Hmm
Honestly people complain about Hot toys prices and get this instead I don’t get it. And don’t say it’s because it’s 1/12at that price a 1:6 figure will look better and have better value for what you pay. Mezcos don’t get handled often anyway might as well buy hot toys 🤷🏻♂️

The sounds are so good. Besides the roar of the bike, it sounds like screaming underneath the bike sounds. It’s eerie.

I'm pretty sure it's so plain because it's based off of the nick cage movie, all he had on in that movie was plain black leather, the bike is the same as the movie too, only difference is the movie has a more burnt look when he changes.
The body is definitely too plain :( I also don't like the motorcycle design.

Maybe it’s just me, but I’m convinced that I just don’t like soft goods at the 1:12 scale. It just never looks good or quite right to me. I think Mezco does their soft goods as good as you realistically can at this scale (at least at this level of distribution), and I STILL think they look terrible
As somebody who does quite a bit of sewing (don’t judge, superheroes sew their costumes all the time lol), I honestly think it’s impossible for soft goods to look good/natural at this scale because of the inherent properties of fabric. The inherent density just causes it too look too blocky when you’re working with such a small surface area. And the stitching always looks ridiculously oversized when you consider what it should look like relative to the scale
If you like or soft goods, more power to you and I’m genuinely happy for you that there’s companies like Mezco making the kind of figures you’re interested in. As for me? I’ll take high quality plastic figures like Mafex over Mezco any day of the week and twice on Sunday
I think soft goods CAN look amazing but even though Mezco are the forefathers of 1:12 soft goods, I don’t think they have mastered it haha. There are smaller 3rd Party companies that do it much better
@@UnparalleledUniverse I think they can look good at 1:6 scale and larger. I’ve never seen any company do them well at 1:12 scale or smaller. Capes are different though because you don’t need them to conform to a molded body underneath. They can be a bit flowy and unwieldy and still look solid
