sissel! i love that noa is being exposed to 3 different languages! as a speech-language pathology graduate student, i just want to say: keep it up! even if there is a delay in the future, it may just be his little mind learning the structure of each language! i grew up speaking three languages as well and everything turned out just fine! plus, all the reading you do and the facial expressions you make when talking to him/playing with him are great for language development as well! you and jake are doing so well and it’s such a pleasure watching you guys raise noa! ☁️🌟
Aww thank you so much for the encouragement ! I do a lot of baby talk with him where I repeat his sounds, it’s so fun 💚
Totally agree. I have a master in bilingual education and I am finishing a PhD in intercultural education. Speaking more than one language comes with amazing cognitive advantages 😊. You are doing amazing!
Seeing as she is from Denmark, 3 languages at a minimum is pretty much the norm in Europe (western-northern EU.)
Coming from a family of three children, my mom pretty much hired live-in helpers right from the start (it’s normal in HK). She knew she needed the help. I am a twin so she hired 2, one for each kid. Then my younger sis came along and she could focus on the little one without worrying about her two toddlers. It really is helpful. One stayed with my family for 9 years so my sisters and I got very attached and were sad when she finally went back to her home.
We speak 4 languages ..my son is 9 and speaks german, slovenian (motherlanguage) serbian and english . . Older he was more he understood how to speak and change. My 2 yo is extra active speaks german slovenian english and bit of serbian 😅 but afkors noah will speak korean first and then others
I love it when you speak Danish, your tone is so smooth and lyrical... congrats on venturing out... you've got this 💚
Aww haha that’s so sweet💚
Reading to Noa even though he is a baby is great! I’m sure he’ll develop a love for reading just like his mama. 🤍 you’re doing great sissel!
That’s my goal, and also language exposure! As he has 3 primary languages we wanna get ahead of the delayed speech expectancy as much as possible 💚
It never hurts to be multi lingual. It will give him an advantage. I am a native Dutch speaker, but I also speak English, German, and a little French and I can read and understand Friesian.
@@only1dutchgirl that’s amazing!
@@only1dutchgirl that’s amazing!
@Nathalie_Murphy All Dutch high-school students learn English, German, and French in their first year. In the second year, they can choose which language they want to continue to learn.
They can also choose Spanish or Chinese.
But most Dutch people can speak English and German.
It's been so nice and heartwarming to see you try new things with Noa and also come forward with struggles, because I know that so many women need that. Sissel you are so empowering!
Aww thank you so much 🥹💚
So proud of you for venturing out of your comfort zone! You’re an amazing mother, Sissel! 🤍
Thank you so much, means a lot 💚
So happy to see yall as a lil family I know Noa growing up with lots of love
Aww thank you love 💚
So nice to see your calm approach to motherhood. My 2 sons practically grew up there in Seoul because of husband's work. This brings back memories of our early life there but seeing you calm and managing motherhood so lovingly is so different from my struggles as a mom hahaha... keep inspiring.
I’m glad you enjoyed it! 💚
Swede here! I recognized the parts for the ‘Tripp Trapp’ chair right away. I fondly remember mine growing up. 😊 So lovely to hear you speaking danish and gaining more confidence, Sissel! Take care and have a great week! ❤
💚🫶🏼
Sissel - my feet grew during pregnancy too! Apparently it's common, but still feels strange (as an adult) to be growing haha. Love that you're gaining confidence taking Noa out in public - it can be daunting at first but so freeing once established. Really great idea getting home help too - more time to spend with Noa and pursue your work - you really seem to be coping so well 😍
Thank you so much! 💚
anyone else wants to cry watching Sissel's family vlogs...in a good way ? I feel so peaceful & "hopeful" for the future it's such a weird feeling
So blessed to have you sharing all of this with us! 🥰 Thank you Sissel
Happy to 💚
You make motherhood look so appealing! It’s so inspiring to see your growth through all those years. Your vibes are just so incredible, i wish i could describe how much your videos heal and calm me! 🤍
Hi Sissel! I've been following all your videos since I have known that I was pregnant. Now I'm 34 weeks! I just want to say that I really appreciate your positivity and that sensación of naturally, because all the videos you look for in social media about pregnant and having a baby are negative and too aggressive (Focus on the "real" for them...). You give me the happy breath I need to face the maternity, thank you!!! Your doing so well 😊 Kisses from Barcelona!
It is what you make it, I’m so excited for you 💚
Thank you, Sissel, for this amazing relaxing vlog ❤ don't feel the pressure of being scared to go out with Noa it is normal for you to get used to having a baby and going out with him, it is also your first time being a mom.
Thank you 💚🥹
You have no idea how much I love and appreciate your mommy videos! ❤ I have a 7 week old baby boy and watching you share your struggles, challenges and overall experience with a newborn is so relatable & validating. I feel like I’m catching up with a mommy friend! 😊 Thank you so much for being so brave and sharing your experience with us. You inspire me!!! 💕
Aww that’s so kind of you, happy to share! 🥹💚
I totally second this, except I have a 7 week old baby girl
Hi hope everything is going well for you and your little family ! ❤️
I usually don’t comment a lot but I’ve been following for a while and I wanted to thank you about all the positivity about pregnancy it really help me to be less scared about it and more confident about myself.
I’m so grateful to you to give me faith that I can be more confident about pregnancy and motherhood, it really changed something in me.
And a miracle happened a few days ago, I just find out that I was pregnant with my first baby, so I really wanted to thank you for all the good positive energy that you give.
And I wish you and your little family all the best
Lots of love to everyone ❤
Going through hard times recently and your videos remind me that there is so much to life and it is not the negative parts of it that shape us, thank you Sissel
That makes me so happy to hear!💚 I hope this season will past fast for you love
Sissel I’m so proud of you and thank you for being my comfort ❤ ily
Aww that’s so kind of you 💚
I'm so happy to hear you are getting more confident with Noa! Truly love your videos and they are so relaxing💕
Thank you love 💚🥹
sissel i love ur vids so much! also i'm not a professional in education whatsoever but as someone who grew up trilangual speaking dutch, french and english i'm so happy you're doing the same with noa! it opens up such great possibilities and experiences people don't necessarily think about such as diverse knowledge about different cultures, a way broader vocabulary, the ability to learn other languages a lot faster/easier and obviously the ability to communicate with so much more people than monolinguals could! i'm currently a semi-polyglot working on being a hyperpolyglot and i sure hope the best for you guys ❤
also danish is such a beautiful language omg might add it to my list LOL
That’s amazing💚
I hope you're saving non-blurred versions of these vlogs for your family memories! ❤ How sweet, thank you for sharing!
I love that you're reading to Noa... It's so good for him. Also looking forward to your thoughts on One Dark Window - I personally loved it!
Hi Sissel, look at you! You are such a good mom! Never change being who you are. There's something about you that is just so peaceful and vibrant at the same time. I look forward to your vlogs while my kids are sleeping 😊. Keep doing you and until next vlog
german here. When you got the chair out, I said (/shouted) "Trip Trap!". We always had it when I was a kid!
Your videos have helped me so much these months coaching me through difficult times and today is no exception haha! Windy rainy walk it is, listening! 🩵
I’m so glad 💚
I'm really really rooting for you trying new things with the baby!!! You've been doing so well as a new mom, and I hope you know that we are always thinking of you and wishing you so so well💚
And I am so excited to see how you raise Noa with both of your guys's culture, such a warm feeling🥰
That’s so sweet of you to say! 💚
Love to see you growing into your new family and taking on all the new challenges that come with it! You’re doing great ❤
Thank you so much 💚
Happy belated Sunday, Sissel!😊😊😊😊😊😎☀💙💙💙💙💙💙🇺🇸🙏🌷🇰🇷💚💚💚💚💚💚⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍. Noa is so cute and healthy when he wakes up and stretch. I'm impressed!😀😍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍
the One Dark Window duology is one of my favorites! i think you'll love it~
Hiiiii finally I was waiting for you every day ❤❤❤ you know what ? you are a part of my day naw 💕💕💕 all the time I watch your videos it’s make my day
so so lucky that you have the helper option 😊 we are on the other side of the world from family, and haven't been on a date for almost 2 years lol 🙃
I feel you! Same here. 😅
I really love seeing you and your little family on my phone I love you all🤭🙇🏻♀️
You are doing great as a new momma! Noa is healthy and happy! I think it is smart to have some help.
I think everyone in Norway has the tripp trapp chair too, after all it's Norwegian. Literally the best chair for baby to grow in.
Totally!💚
It's polluded for me as well, it's been raining so much even here in Italy 💚
Good it’s raining tho! I feel like that usually clears the air a bit 💚
@@sisselab i totally agree!
I love that you are teaching him your language
it's so beautiful seeing your journey through motherhood Sissel! Proud of you for doing things that scare you and feeling more confident day by day 💚 recently read Nocticadia and it was really good!
Aww thanks for saying that! 💚
Danish is such a beautiful language!!! I do not speak it, but just hearing it soothes my soul! 💚
Wow thanks! You don’t often hear that about Danish 💚🫢
Dutchie here! The Tripp Trapp is even very famous in the Netherlands. So many dutch families use it during the upbringing of their child :D. Also, I think you're doing absolutely amazing in conquering your fears and insecurities!
Love your new vlogs. Cant wait to meet my 💙! Only few more days to go! Hopefully! You are a wonderful mom!
Jake's looking good with his new haircut!
Also love listening to you speak in Danish ❤
Thanks! 💚
ah!! noa is growing up so fast! so cute. btw that blue set looked divine on you but i totally get that the fit could feel uncomfy if it's not what you want to wear!
Yeah somehow the tiny mini skirts hit differently now haha 🤣💚
I love how you are real and realistic ❤
🥹💚
my dear sissel, firstly I must say I squealed when you mentioned Harry Potter!! Currently during the winter times I got so obsessed with it again, sos! 😅 Also for the table chair, so true everyone in like northern Europe definitely grew up with it, and I am not sure if you know that there is a table chair where you can put a baby bowl (?) on it and later replace it with a chair! And also I think the baby blue arket top looks insanely good with the jeans jacket! 🙂↕️💛
you guys ALWAYS make my day
I absolutely loved nocticadia
I kinda want to reread it now
I just finished the twisted crowns duology! It was soooo good. Cant wait to hear what you think about it.
I’m dutch and I also had the trip trap chair! Me and all my sibling in different colors! Such a good memory!❤️
you are a very chill mom 👩 🖤🖤
sissel, i have to admit... i can't wait for when you feel comfortable enough to show noa's face. i'm kinda obsessed with genetics and i'm just so excited to see who noa looks like more and the mix between strong korean features and soft, beautiful danish features like yours. i admire your protectiveness over his privacy, espeially on this day and age, but still--it's hard to be this curious hehe
I feel like Korean features are softer than Danish features lol! Both are beautiful though.
@tikusblue maybe korean features are softer aesthetically, but i meant it in the sense that asian genetics usually are the ones that take over more than european genetics. and like you said, both are very beautiful!
such a lovely little family ❤
Lots of love to everyone ❤
I loved loved the blue set ! it was really pretty honestly
The sky was blue.
You looked like you had a really nice time.
The clothes and the furniture💚
Yep I’m from The Netherlands and had it too many many years ago. The design is so good!!
It’s normal for your feet to grow after having a baby. After I had my baby boys my feet grew too. Glad to see that you’re getting into the groove of motherhood. There’s always different challenges but I find that it gets easier for me to adapt to anything new the babies do.
Thank you for sharing that! It's so encouraging to hear that I'm not alone. 💚
I would love it if you could do a baby favorites video! I’m pregnant with my first and feel so lost on what to buy.
Thank you so much for your book recommendations!!! Keep them coming.
U're inspiration to me .. thank you for existing sissel
Aww thank you 💚
I enjoyed this vlog
OMG THE CELIMAX PADS YESSSSS !!1 it keeps my skin clear soo much!! i kid u not im on my 6th-7th container LOLOLOL im so glad they sponsored u omgieee!
They've been a lifesaver! 💚
Fellow Nordic person here (Icelander), I used to have a tripp trapp chair as a child (I'm 31) and it's still really popular here. All of my friends who have had babies have one or get their old one as it's passed down to people a lot.
Love your videos 💜
(and I'm going to Korea at the end of March and plan to go to the Danish cafe in Seoul you went to)
Such a timeless chair 🥹💚
I also grew up with 3 languages (German, French, and English (Spanish, but I can read, understand it, I just didn’t speak it really, even though my aunt is Spanish), so I can recommend just trying to make it work, my life was so much easier in school and in general.
thank you for this beautiful video, noa is so big already💛! I also wanted to tell you something, i recently learned about breastfeeding. Its so facinating because the nipple is able to analise the saliva of the baby. if it contains any inflammation or signs of problems with the immune systhem, your body will automatically change the milk to keep the immune systhem up in order to support the health of the baby. I think its just insane how well our bodies are created in that way (i thought you might also find it interesting haha)
Yeah it’s liquid magic 😍💚
The food looks so delicious 🤤 ❤
Such cozy vibes 🧡✨
🥹💚
I'm still waiting for your videos on Sunday haha ❤
that chair is smth I had too when I was little, in italy we call it "seggiolone" and I had the one my cousin had when he was little (I used to have a looot of my cousin's stuffs cause I was the littlest of the family!), also love how you can take noa with you everywhere, he's always so calm! when I was a child I used to cry in every place my mum took me lol
I’m lucky yeah, he’s such a calm baby 💚
Miss you so muchhhh
I really love hearing you speak Danish too ❤
I’m glad!💚
One of my friends is obsessed w one dark window, it’s very on my tbr
OMG! I totally forgot about the Triptrap!! we also have them here in the Netherlands, Such a childhood memory unlocked!
Right??😍💚
I really want to tell you that you are the best mother for me I love you and your friends so much 😍💗
Awwww💚
@sisselab hhhh💗
The baby noises😭🥹❤️❤️🫶🏽
the best 😭💚
@@sisselabit’s like an obsession 🥲
Ahhhh, love your videos ❤❤❤
Little by little you’ll get use to just picking him up and go about your business, all you need is the Essential diaper bag ready pack on the entranceway to go, that’s how I did it when I had my two boys. And now they are all grown up on their own, cherish the most precious moment.
Love that 💚
so proud! x
you look so incredibly beautiful!
I want to applaud your courage to get out with the baby more. My girl is 6months and she still hasn’t set foot in a grocery store or mall 😂 we do walks outside, she goes to her doctor appointments and rides to pick up her big sister from school. my anxiety was very high due to RSV and even whooping cough was going around in my state in the US. This is my 2nd baby and I still have anxiety about going out with a baby. Breastfeeding in public is so hard :( in the states there is no real good place to breastfeed expect the car. Your video gave me motivation to get my girl out more.
You got this!! It’s gonna be great for your mental health but also for your LO 💚
You can get a baby set for the Tripp Trapp too!
I know! I have the normal food seat but not the baby bassinet as Noa is too big already haha💚
Love your motherhood vlog! May I ask if you have routine for Noa? Or you just follow his cues
I follow his cues! He’s too young for a routine still, that’s usually first recommended after 3 months minimum💚
Sissies you are so pretty and good morning from here and you guys baby he is so cute and you guys are a beautiful couple
Aww thank you so much 💚
@sisselab you are welcome ❤️
This is so nice!!! ❤❤❤
💚
New mom of an almost 8 months old baby boy and when you and your husband were sitting in the living room ( him playing FIFA and you reading) i laughed so hard. This is me and my husband! But usually we also have our little boy playing with his toys in his play mat 😂. He is teething so we are sleeping less these days 😅 Also i am Greek but we do not have this chair in my country. Maybe is more popular in northern Europe.
Yes, i have been Groing up on this Chair as well😅☺️
Also Swiss have stokke Trip trap 😎👍 there is also a newborn seat for it. But i guess also difficult to get for you 😅
I know, but Noa is too big hehe 💚
@@sisselabi forgot 🤭 he is a big boy! Looks still tiny next to you. ❤️
Having help makes so much a difference.. it takes a village to raise a child
Truly 💚
Yep, my daughter, who’s also breastfeeding, is always hungry 🧡.
I’m guessing your family likes hearing you talk about moving back to Denmark some day 😁.
It seems so strange to me that there’s so much pollution there. Everything always seems so clean, no trash……..
All the best !
Super mama ❤
❤ty for the vlog
I love your videos
I’m so glad 🥹💚
What is the reference of your sweatshirt ar 2:56 love ? Don't you want to be a personal shopper coz you ate in fashion ! 💚💚💚
It’s just from H&M 💚🫶🏼
@sisselab Thanks Love
You have a lovely skin💙 You're absolutely glowing🥰 If you don't mind asking, how old are you? Your apartment is very nice😊
I love seeing you as a mom! You are amazing! In which hospital did you have your baby? I am also pregnant and I live in Seoul. Could you please recommend one for me? Best regards!
I didn’t give birth in a hospital, I gave birth at HOUM. It was amazing 💚
@ Wow, that’s amazing! You are truly very brave! Thank you for your response! You have a beautiful family! ❤️❤️
Your little Korean Viking is growing so fast!💚
No wonder you're losing weight. He takes all he can get.😅
I'm curious why the paediatrician is giving you such a strict diet. Has Noa digestive issues?
I love the combination of the light blue sweater with that jeans jacket. It looks so good on you.
And I can totally see why you want to move to Denmark, that pollution isn't the best climate for young children and adults as well.
I hope you have a wonderful week, gaining more confidence day by day!
Big hug and lots of love from the Netherlands. ❤️ 🇳🇱
Yes, not major issues but it made him a bit stiff due to gas and I don’t like to see him not thriving 💚
We've had fog for almost a week. I don't know if it was pollution, but I had to drive in it every day, and it was so annoying.
Same!!
Hey Sissel I was wondering if you were to stay in Korea instead of moving to Denmark, what is your dream neighbourhood that you would love to move to
Separate house in Seongbuk-dong for sure💚
My baby is 3 months old now and I feel you on the insatiable appetite!! I’m breastfeeding too and I don’t eat for 2, u eat for 3! 😂
I still have my Tripp Trapp! All my siblings have one haha.
2:08 is hilarious and so me except I didn’t have a baby 😂
