I just LOVE your channel, you play, talk a bit about it, STRAIGHT TALK, then play thru everything aspect of the guitar or amp. NO BULLSHIT just great info and playing.
I've had one backordered since christmas, your demo sounded great i liked how you just swapped through the tones over a jam track thats exactly how i plan to use it; for improv, practice and maybe to start teaching students again the lithium battery is a very underrated feature old amps run on AA's FTS.
Just a great review that gives really a good idea what the amp sounds like: with the headphone out into the pre as well as into a 57. Kudos..(and I'm not a stock broker).
I gave my bro my thr30 and been missing the convenience, so now I'm waiting on UPS to bring the thr10(the 30 barely find my backpack, I'm thinking the 10 will be a better fit. Glad to have another thr
13:50 sounds pretty good right there....16:45 through 16:58 , sounds nice, tight and clear, I don't hear that ice pick assault in the upper register, maybe that got fixed. === 17:40 OMG, sounds really good, majestic .
Hahahaha.. mimicking you completely unintentionally. Bought a Harley Benton TE 30 and found your channel afterwards looking for affirming reviews, and now doing the same after buying this amp.. happy Christmas dude
So strange watching al these videos just before the start of the pandemic ,we had no idea , anyway Best straight on review, this amp sounds amazing,, tone wise it sounds like a real tube amp, beats it the Spark 40 and Katana Air, can thus work with wireless guitar transmitters like ammoon and Xvive ? Stellar playing Rich from the most uncorporate guy in my street lol take care
deke441 I was shopping for a tube but ended up with a 50 MKll and the THR30ll instead. No regrets as I now have a whole lot of flexibility which suits my skill level at this point in time..👍🇦🇺
It's a great amp if you know how to use it. I found the Hi gain and lead channels to be unusable. Instead, I use my wampler tumnus boosted by a Mojo Mojo pedal for a dirty- hi gain sound. It's SWEET! This amp especially likes single coils. I play this with my SG and Strat, but it takes to the Strat better.
@@sunnyboner676 can't I just use the headphones out and plug it into something like my semi trucks stereo so I can play through the trucks speakers? I'm an OTR truck driver figured this would be great for our on the road 👍
Very nice playing. :) How would you say this sounds in the room compared to say, a similarly low-powered amp like a Fender Princeton? I find it's frustrating trying to judge how an amp will sound in person from a video; close miking makes everything sound huge and great even if it sounds like a crappy belt-clip 9v amp in person, and room miking makes everything sound terrible, even if it's great in person. Just wondering if this has that small, boxy sound like standard little 10 watt solid state practice amps tend to.
Opinion @Jeff Roy? I saw a review on one of the retailers stating this mk2 didn’t live up to the first gen. I don’t have first one to compare, using Katana 1x100 currently for dirt and Blues Jr IV for my Fender cleans.
Not to disrespect, but this usually says more about the player than the amp. Don't expect it to sound like a 12" valve combo, but it can definitely produce a good tone.
It is capable of some terrible sounds, I love mine- just got to get used to how the thing works, the cab emulation makes a huge difference. The sounds are in there, it's just finding them 😉

Nice review. Ordered the THR30ll and used the petrol money. It’s the bus for a while but worth the hassle I guess. 👍🇦🇺

Great review! That amp has some fantastic tones! Also, we are digging the new intro, very cool!
Great review, especially like how you went into a Anthrax riff. Didn't see that coming. Well done
I just got one yesterday. Cant stop playing it!
I just bought one of these and it sounds amazing! You will not be disappointed with the new Yamaha.
I had the old one, loved it but it was ice picky on some highs,
if you had the old one too, did they smooth that out?
A little rush in a big sounding amp... I can dig it !

Ha!
Appreciate you doing this Rich. Awaiting back order.
It sounds great and you are very talented. Seems a little high but I would imagine price would come down later in the year. Thanks for sharing...
Great playing man. You made the amp sound great!

Love the THR series at least what I’ve heard I definitely wanna pick one up thanks for the review 👍🏾
Did you get one? I just got mine tonight and really glad I did. It sounds very good and makes me want to play more 👍👍👍😁😁😁
Another really useful vid. Thanks Rich. Would love to hear this amp with the 339.
Rich! thr or the boss katana air did you prefer when you done the demo ? love the vids by the way
Katana Air, thanks!
Great Video & Playing! Currently stuck between getting the Yamaha or Spark (or ?). Have you tried a Spark? Thanks!
I have the spark both are great, but using the spark app makes it really fun.

Use the app bro , get a bunch more tones , compressor and other goodies with it :)
Really enjoyable review. Great playing too.

Got a modeling amp it came down between this and the Katana MK 2. I got the Katana but would have been happy with this too. Sounds great!

Hi gain is where the thr 30ii wireless shines

I'm assuming there is probably a line out for that. If so, do you think it would be strong enough to power cabinets?
There is a stereo line out to plug into an interface but it is not.a.speaker.out.
The THR30IIWL has a stereo pair of 1/4 inch line outs to play through a PA system - the smaller versions of this amp don’t.

Awesome man!!
Tele gang bro I also just got one of these
for home use: Boss Katana or Yamaha THR10II? Can I use as a monitor interface? Thanks.
The Thr30W can Be used as an interface
Ronny Suarez so can the katana

It will sound good, but it wont sound like an amp in a room with a 12 or 10 inch speaker. But it will still sound very good.
Do you ever perform 1 man shows like this, with backing tracks?
I have the same amp 🖤

Any settings for Acoustic?
Yes, has an acoustic setting, I didn't review it in the video, but it sounds really good!
I have the THR 30 , is that the classic mode ?
The 10 doesn't have modes, so not sure...
@@RichBischoff it does, but you have to select them through the app. I believe this one is 20 watts, too.
@@jimmythefish nope this is the 10 watt version.
Rich Bischoff it’s called the 10 still but both versions of the 10 are 10 watts per speaker for 20. The 30 is 15 a side.
@@jimmythefish Sweet!
Can It take a fuzz pedal?
Yes
Hello how does this compare to the boss katana air?
Very similar. I liked the Katana a little better though.
I can not get this thing to sound good for the life of me...
