    It's so nice to be in at the birth of a new channel! You both have nice, easy-going personalities and I'm sure the more experience you gain, the better your videos will become. Thank you for taking the time to make videos for us, it really is appreciated. 😃

    As for Pegs, i prefer using Delta ground anchors with my hillebergs if weather unknown and going for more than 3 days and or remote on this type of ground in the UK. They are way better than any peg in terms of not being pulled out in high wind once the ground wet, better than double pegging. Once the guys are undone the tent will fail in really high winds, hilleberg or not. Great purchase by the way, ive used Hillebergs for 15 years all over the world, you pay for what you get in this regard and if your remote where it literally can mean life and death well they are worth the price. Enjoy!

      Ar ok great advice we do have some delta ankers so we will find them out for our next trip out. What are they like for hard ground. Thanks for watching and commenting. 😊

      @@yorkshireladlassoutdoors4486 so obviouly rock is no go, but yea they will go into hard ground just make sure they are flat to the ground and all way down. But for moorland and most UK use they are brilliant as the force on the guy increases it causes the peg to bit into the ground more due to the fulcrum point , simple but very effective, i alwasy have a mix of both for worse case. Another option also for you if you go remote and go camping in high wind (aka above storm force 10) is to upgrade the polls to 10mm (keron range effectively makes it black label all bar the 1800 kerlon, not that ive ever had an issue with the 1200 even in hurricane winds)

    Nice idea, using luggage tags with dry bags. I will subscribe. Your video came up at random in my timeline. Enjoyed it. Stay safe. Always, have first aid kit in case and spare batteries for head torch or charger. .

    PS - I should add the moisture is more likely condensation i would have thought, not the clag. Make sure you have the front vent mesh open and the foot end there is a zip, and also tie ups, so unless driving rain you have these up to allow the air to pass through, defo whilst cooking. Plus the inside vent during the night unless really baltic and your really struggling to keep warm. Not sure if your aware also, in summer you can roll up the porch compeltly to the front pole and its like a little canopy, great as a sun shade or rain (normally the latter for uk summer lol) But makes it great to cook in if raining and you dont want to get your tent again full of condensation.

      Ok thankyou great tips for us, we'll try and remember these for future . Also the porch sounds good to try out in the warmer months. Thx again 😊

      @@yorkshireladlassoutdoors4486 Yea the Porch in the rain when cooking rolled up works really well. Absolute Bargain BTW looks in mint condition and as you say brand new. Makes a difference when people use the groundsheets, it also helps reduce condensation as well as protect. Don't understand it when people don't get them for a few hundred grams its a total no brainer. Link to porch roll up for you ruclips.net/video/R_Yz2Se2egE/видео.html

    Had a nallo 2 and a nammatj 2. Preffered the nammatj as you could sit up at both ends and the roof didnt flatten at the tail end if you pitched it into the wind, aslo had better ventillation with 2 large vents which could be operated from within the tent. Now just have an anjan 2 for 3 season use which has great ventilaltion aswell as a Soulo BL and Akto for the 4th (and 5th seasons).
    The best 2 person tent I had was the Tarra, a bombproof palace in the hills.

    What did you think of the blizzard 2 as I’ve just got one.??

    • @yorkshireladlassoutdoors4486
      @yorkshireladlassoutdoors4486  7 месяцев назад

      Hello we have 2 blizzards one red and one green definitely was our go to tent for winter season. Always went up great. We really only changed to Hilleberg as 1 got a great bargain off eBay and 2 we Just wanted that bit more room as there 2 of us using it, with lots of gear. Maybe only downside is that the groundsheet is not attached to the blizzard but only a pain in high winds.
      We have used the blizzard in quite a few of our past videos if you wanted to take a look. ☺️ Thx for watching.

    I should have bought that one . Lot easier to setup . But bought the saitaris instead. Great tent just takes a bit more time

      Yes we was really surprised how easy it was to set up. Yes Steve also looked at the saitaris and the nammati but we was lucky to have the nalo come up on eBay and won the bids at such a good price. Thanks for watching.
