reminds me of this guitar world magazine i read that Dimebag Darrel was talking about how even if your just Practicing always always always record it because of 2 reasons. #1 being that you can go back and check your progress and notice even the slightest improvements throughout the time, and #2 being that you never know when you'll accidentally hit some crazy bend or pinch harmonic or whatever you may be doing at the time and instead of wondering how you did it guess what you got it recorded. really enjoy your videos @benhigginsofficial think my favorite video was your 50 shredders video. keep on rocking in the free world as neil young would say

This video came out right on time. I've been struggling getting my bands songs tight. While I can play them beginning to end, there are minor issues I just can't seem to nail every time I practice. It's maddening.

Changing my practice routine to mostly drills with very minimal song play has increased my guitar playing considerably
Today i was practicing basketball after i came bacn from a shirt 1 day vacation.
For some reason I was kept losing the ball and missed alot of shots. I was sad and all that, but this video really helped me. Ty

I don’t play guitar much but I’ve been playing the sax for about 6 years and I have an audition in two days. Anyway yesterday I was playing heavenly and got my audition piece down, but today, I sound like hot trash. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. Wish me luck.

Perfect analogy! If the sculpture inside the rock is like Michelangelo's David then you have a lot of work to do. If, on the other hand, it's a piece of 'contemporary sculpture' then you can play any old crap and call yourself a 'contemporary guitarist'. Who said there were no shortcuts?
In that case, I'd say we all create a piece of contemporary art every time we pick up the guitar! :D

Lately I've felt really uninspired and unmotivated to play or practice guitar - I still force myself to practice at least an hour because I don't want to go rusty but I've just feel like I've 'lost the fire' where I'm bored of my playing and the way it's stagnated. It's probably not something you can answer so simply but just curious if you've dealt with something like this and what inspired you?

I'm finding it difficult to play 3 note per string on my guitar. I feel pain when my middle finger tries to stretch to the second note on the guitar and running any scale is terrible. help!!!! thanks.
