    Just started getting into the card game after only collecting, these videos help a lot and I’m pretty sure I want to start off with this miraidon deck👍

    Wow. This deck looks insane. Need to see more matches with this deck.

    Seeing all those double hits on electric generator made my streak of FIVE generators hitting zero energy feel so much worse lol. It was over two games, and it was brutal.

      Unfortunate series of events for you :( I normally don’t hit generators that well in any of my Miraidon videos and may never pull that off again. But the random nature of the card is such that sometimes you’ll get hot too.

    Thank you for an awesome channel 🤗 You only need 2 Battle VIP Pass when you play Peony. You can simply get them, if you go second 💪

    Since peony will be rotating out, would u be able to just change it for an Arven maybe ?

    • @InThirdPerson
      @InThirdPerson  11 месяцев назад +1

      I don’t see there being a direct substitution for Peony in the immediate term. Miraidon will likely pivot back to the “slower” builds that came before this one.

    Can you try Meowscarada with Grotle bench? Do you think that works? I was thinking this puts out Meowscarada and other Grass Pokemons out faster.

    • @InThirdPerson
      @InThirdPerson  Год назад

      While Grotle does get evolution Pokemon out, I’m uneasy about running so many stage 2 Pokemon between Meowscarada and Torterra, not to mention setting up a draw engine and possibly Medicham too.
      I’ve been testing out some new Meowscarada decks in the background and haven’t found a list that I’m happy with. Whether it’s with Grotle or something else, I’ll come back to Meowscarada when I find a list I believe in.

    I have a question for the Lost Vacuum, what is its use in this deck?

      Is it if I go against a Lost Zone deck?

      Remove Path to the Peak or any tools that might hinder your game plan.

    You need to post the bricks too.

    • @InThirdPerson
      @InThirdPerson  Год назад +2

      I always aim to show how well (or not well) a deck functions. I regularly post matches where I lose if the match is entertaining and/or there are lessons to be learned (even if it makes me look bad in the process. Some recent examples of videos with losses include but not limited to:
      Tsareena ruclips.net/video/YW7dtPPvQrc/видео.htmlsi=iZyMfrkFpdsB73y6
      Mewtwo ruclips.net/video/KbqbHS_wXp8/видео.htmlsi=Bk_XhQtTNQuyUU_Z
      Klawf ruclips.net/video/miwXeuiCSeE/видео.htmlsi=OkQzP4mt-0Dcp7zt
      Matter of fact, tomorrow’s Garchomp ex video features a loss and I’m very upfront in explaining that deck is far from top-tier. And I’ll probably lose views on that one for being honest about how strong it actually is instead of hyping it to the moon.
      Also, the vast majority of my match videos come from live streams. Every week, people watch me on Twitch play a deck with no edits and can see for themselves how well/poorly a deck works. I even upload all of the VODs on RUclips so that anyone who wants to can watch the raw footage (losses, bricks, and misplays) can do so:
      ruclips.net/p/PLiabVYLvuoxiD-gNeQvMyCjRWtlIPqkzK&si=6bbjNoqs4Vmh2vMo
      When it comes to the edited videos, there’s only so much time people will want to spend watching a deck profile. Many people only stick around to watch me explain how the deck works and they leave before watching ANY of the matches. Furthermore, any deck can brick on the opening hand and lose quickly, so adding those into a curated video where people are specifically tuning in to see how a deck works is essentially a waste of time because it adds nothing to the conversation and is oftentimes just a case of bad luck.
      If a deck is prone to bricking, I definitely make note of that, assuming I even cover a deck prone to bricking at all. I made mention of inconsistencies with my more recent Chien-Pao and Lugia videos because those decks are prone to bricking and show matches where bricking is a factor if there’s still an entertaining/informative match behind them. Also, as good as Lost Box decks are, I rarely cover them on the channel unless there’s a strong case to do so because I don’t like how frequently I Flower Select into garbage hands. Pretty sure my most recent Lost Box videos have bad bricks in them too :)

      @@InThirdPerson im not saying you fluff your content, not trying to offend you so sorry if i did. Ive been running this deck for a month with peony engines and those generators almost whiff half the time. You did have some pretty lucky matches on the generators. Id love to figure out how to fix it but I think thats whats gonna stop miraidon from being good enough. Mostly i try and super rod energy back in to keep my count high. Mew and raikou help rebuilding a hand turn for turn but if youre stuck with the right cards then youre stuck.

      @@mxt7407 Generators are inherently fiddly. There will be times where you will brick. Sometimes it runs hot. I cover Miraidon a lot on my channel and assure you that my Generator luck doesn't run as hot as it did in this particular video.
      Some Peony-based Miraidon lists increase their generator odds by adding more energy.
      The 11th place Miraidon list at San Antonio ran 18 energy: limitlesstcg.com/decks/list/9440
      This 1st place list from the Battle Park online tournament runs 19 energy: play.limitlesstcg.com/tournament/65524f4ab9b2816be6027d6e/player/moxyroxie/decklist
      I covered the version that performed best at San Antonio which featured 16 basic energy and 1 DTE, but these version with higher energy counts might work a bit better for you.

    Thoughts on changing the switch to a switch cart?

    • @InThirdPerson
      @InThirdPerson  Год назад +1

      Switch Carts used to be more common in Miraidon, especially to counter Lost Box. However, the popularity of Snorlax and the likelihood of them trapping Flaaffy has led to players leaning into regular Switch over Switch Cart. If you’re not worried about Flaaffy getting stuck, then Switch Cart is fine.

    Is it worth to drop Spiritomb? And if you do, would you add another energy or something else?

    • @InThirdPerson
      @InThirdPerson  Год назад +1

      If you’re not worried about Mew or Lumineon, then yeah drop Spiritomb. We still don’t see Mew much on PTCGL, but Mew is once again a popular deck in IRL play, making the Spiritomb more valuable in that meta.
      I don’t hate simply replacing Spiritomb with 1 more energy. Better luck on generators!

    So I can't play this build of miradion on live, because all my starting hand is miradion ex or a random basic thats not mew ex or squawkbilliy and energies. I never get that first turn anyway. The deck is just essentially a worse miradion ex if you aren't going against single prize decks.

    • @InThirdPerson
      @InThirdPerson  11 месяцев назад +1

      It definitely has its pros and cons. Besides punishing evolution decks, you can get a turn 1 donk on 2-prizers with Miraidon or maybe even Raikou. However, it really needs to be in a dominant position by the 2nd turn or things completely fall apart. It also makes a tough match-up against Charizard even worse as it has no good answers for it. The more traditional builds with Path and/or the newer builds with Tapu Koko may ultimately be a better play with the current meta.
