That's how I did mine except the first bolt you pulled. Well done. Even pretty easy while on jack stands. Looking forward to a header install. Great work as always.

Still running the fomoco from 95 in mine waiting for it to go thanks for the upload showing how to take it out. I recently blew the original water pump belt and thought it was the water pump itself thankfully it was just the belt holy shit

This is exactly the same procedure I use to do them on the Mazda 6 3.0. Never understood why people make a huge deal out of it. The 2.3 version you can maneuver the alt over the exhaust to the driver side and remove the battery tray to lift it up and out. All the duratecs have a similar manual of arms considering the cdw platform evolved into Mazda 6, jag x type, Volvo, etc. glad to see someone with common sense. I feel like people work it up in their head that it can’t be done and that prevents them
From visualizing what needs to happen.

I love to see this video. Also love to see a video with the replacement of the rear transmission mount or anchor mount. I have a lot of mechanic running from my job. They want to pull my engine. I have a 99 ford contour sport SE Duratec V6 2.5L 24 valve DOHC Same engine as the SVT. Would be really helpful for me to do it on my own just like this video. I love my ride.

Jee thanks for replying back, I know your super busy, I get it, but after two years nothing, i didn't even remember written you and asking for your help, i could not find any video or info on what you, i believe, know better then anyone that has a video about this type of engine, but I had to do what you probably had to learn yourself by getting your hand dirty and figuring it out yourself, I know it sound like I'm mad, but I'm ok, I did figure out the whole problem was it was a bad steering pump I bought, took it back and had it replaced and installed it back on and everything was fine.

Hey Hoss, just have say, isn't it a b#$!@ working on the engine, my wife has a Mercury cougar 2000 2.5l v6 24 valve douche, yeah I said it, i nicked named it the nightmare cougar, I think I just have to change a tire cap and then I have rebuilt the whole dang cougar,,, Not only does my wife give me a hard time,so does her cougar, it easy to get a tool on the part being worked on but no room to brake it loose,,so I got a question for you on the power steering, I've replaced the steering pump, high pressure steering hose ,I purged it,and vacuumed bleed it but it still got stiff hard steering, like no power steering at all, there is what I think is a flow control valve, where the high pressure steering hose connect to the rack and pinion I think I installed that valve in wrong do you have any insight on how it's supposed to be put in between the hose in the rack and pinion

Really need to stop using that circuit breaker and use a legitimate fuse, those breakers go out and start randomly tripping or not tripping when they should
