  • PMP's So Go Ahead Burn Me, from theri 6-track demo tape 'Pure Minded Poetry' sold at the first Australian Graffiti competition in West Heidalberg of Melbourne in 1992. The image presented in the video are of the pieces created that weekened and feature on p.199 in Duro Cubrilo's 'Kings Way' book. If you bought the tape from the PMP boys during this weekend you would have received separate from the tape, but from the boys a black and white photo copy of the songs titles as the tape sleave/cover to be inserted by yourself. It had nil other images or pictures on it, only the song names, which from memory were typed. If you purchased the demo tape from Central Station Records where it was available at a later date following the Graffiti comp, you would have been lucky to reveive the cassette tape insert, which once again was separate from the tape. It appears that if they had inserts available at the Central Station Stores, the person neglected to give them out. Once again this Graffiti Competition was not only synonymous with the release of PMP's demo tape, but also as P'JAMS unforesceen last show on 3PBS. It appears that a number guys crashed the radio station during his show (which followed Stepping to AM, from Midnight to 6am), and partied a bit too hard for the station managers approval. At least they made it to Heidalberg for day 2 of the comp. Sorry, the only other thing I can remember about the night was watching others quarrel about the lack of ganga and uncomfortable the short arse couches were at 3PBS for sleeping on.

Hi guys. If I may correct the uploader, this song was called "Definately Dope", and was track 6 on the Demo Tape. We picked a letter of the alphabet, in this case "D" and we stuffed as many D words as we could in the versus. LOL. The last part of each verse we throw it back to Ernie (so go ahead, ERNIE), from Sesame Street. hence the D-D-D Sesame Street sample.
Either way, thanks for listening and support Aussie Hip Hop. Peace
