School, Rudy, Give a Little Bit, Logical Song, anything Supertramp ever did was magic. Crime of the Century album was phenomenal, anything off of it is fire. Glad to see you dipping into Supertramp! We'll always come back for them!
This was one of the greatest albums of all times "Breakfast in America" by Supertramp. This song is about Marijuana and wanting to stop. We used to call Marijuana back in the day Mary/Jane. Marijuana is Spanish for Mary (Mari) and Jane (Juana). This was a great take on wordplay by Supertramp. Awesome!
Just off the top of my head they have a song titled Rudy and that is one of their songs that is really good live ! That song is off there Crime of the Century album !
And there is a live version of this , Like I said you can find most of their songs in a live version ! In 1979 they put out a double live album that was recorded in Paris !
You guys must watch Supertramp Paris album's The Logical Son, School and Take the Long Way Home, just to start. Then play Fool's Overture and have an amazing musical journey :) Glad to see your reaction, tks guys
I always loved Supertramp's bass player...On this song he plays very selective triplets and accentuates the big parts. I still have this LP in m collection--played it over a 1,000 times and it never gets old ..Every track on it could've been a hit, besides the 3 top-5 singles off it! (Watch 'em live in Paris on ytube, 1979--a treat for the eyes and ears!)
Good reaction guys. I'm new to this band too, and I'm really impressed. I've see a video of this song live from their 1979 concert. They look a bit more like college professors than musicians to me, but that's all subjective. Thanks.
*** Great lady musician to check out. Super talented Bassist- Angeline Saris “ Blackstrap Molasses “. Guitarist- Bonny Rait “ Give them sometimes to talk about”.
The Album Breakfast in America shows a picture of a passenger coming to America and looking out of the airplane's window as it is flying over the statue of liberty represented by the waitress, and the breakfast is kitchen utensils representing the New York skyline. Hence Breakfast in America.
This is a great band Would love if you can check out any of these bands songs if you get a chance Led Zeppelin:Ramble on or Immigrant song The Doors: LAwoman or Roadhouse blues CCR: Born on the bayou or Fortunate son Thanks for the reactions looking forward to seeing you enjoy new music!!
You can find a live version to almost any of their songs , And trust me there's no bigger Supertramp fan then myself , but the majority of their live versions aren't that great if I'm being honest ! Which is kind of a oxymoron because I've seen them live numerous times and they're amazing in concert ! I think if you're just discovering them and hearing them for the 1st time , you're better off with the studio versions !
If you want to be shocked, watch the main guy in Supertramp, Roger Hodgson, live, as a 70 year old man showing the kids what a real rock star can do. Here’s a link: m.ruclips.net/video/1qEXGo7wXxE/видео.html
That guitar solo at the end is one of the most incredible ever done.

Even in the quietest moments also
Yes, Supertram really was the best I've ever heard. I was so so sad to hear Roger leaving the band. And afterwards the miracle ended....
Supertramp Live in Paris Double Album Fantastic!
This is my favorite song by them

This album was one of the greatest in a year (1979) that produced some of the greatest music. 1979 was the pinnacle.

So much SUPERTRAMP to choose from! Pick a song ANY SONG!!!
There is no mood, good or bad, that I can experience that can't be made better somehow by that guitar solo.
Find this song live in Paris 1979 It's awesome to watch.
1979 was the greatest year for music, whether it’s rock, jazz or disco, it was the best.

The l8ve version is killer
That is a city...New York. Waitress is the Statue of Liberty. You can even see the twin towers. It's looking from the window of an airplane.
