One thing I've done is with curly saran hair, if you want to keep the curl, don't use hot water. And when it's wet, take small sections wrap around your finger to make a bunch of separated sections. It helps from it becoming just a mat of frizz. If you want it straighter & therefor easier to manage, dip in boiled water, it does wonders for resetting the hair. That works too to get kinks out from hair being in a pony tail, braids, etc. Dish soup cleans greasy hair better I think. And just little conditioner. I'm still learning & experiencing myself with different hair types. But I love my dolls to have soft, silky hair that I like to stroke.
My partner and I have bought Barbies, Integrity dolls, rainbow high, Monster High, Bratz, and just recently bought a few Monster High. I think there’s a Monster High doll out there for everyone Your Dracula is so your doll, love it. I just connected with a Ghoulia Yelp doll and she’s my favorite now. Great video 🥰
Draculaura was my first MH doll. She is so cute! I may have more of her than the others. I’ve already rerooted 3 of them. It’s been fun and really added to my doll fun. The MH dolls have really captured my heart - each one. Thanks so much for sharing 😍
These Monster High dolls keep getting better. The Draculaura Core Refresh doll is so cute too ! She's got a black witch type hat. Because I guess in the story, she's also part witch along with being a vampire. 🤣
monster high does not typically put any product into the doll hair, so what you’re feeling is likely just the waxy feeling that saran typically has. it’s not glue seepage, mattel fixed that problem a bit ago. curly saran can be a bit hard to manage, unfortunately the best way to fix that is a boil wash which destroys tinsel.
Monster ball has my favorite face. Her hair is really messy out of box, but a boil wash made this one's hair much nicer. I dipped it gently a few times - there are many youtube tutorials if you've never done it. I actually have 3 of her. On my other 2, I've taken out her bangs and she may be my favorite overall restyled. Her face gorgeous.
😳Draculaura?!?! She’s 🩷 + 🖤❕ No wonder she’s your favorite!! She’s my new favorite from your dolly collection, too!!😊 LOLLL, your new Draculaura has MY exact hair texture, though my hair isn’t oily, unless I apply Argan oil to it (and my face) being dry as it is. When I wash my long hair, the matted frizz softens to beach waves, BUT it’s a shame no vintage/thrifted dolly hair surprise dead bugs were ever found in it 🪲☹️, just a little tree fallen debris, every now and then.🌲😊 *clears throat* Back to dolls, I don’t know if I have one favorite doll; it’s a reallllly tough call, now that I think about it. Perhaps the award goes to….*drum roll*….my last Tiffany Taylor doll, dressed in a lavender and white lace wedding gown and matching veil. When I opened her up, I was floored. I added one of own necklaces to her, as an accessory piece! Again, my decision may be overturned, LOLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!😆
oh my goodness the pink and black connection I literally never thought of that before and admit I shed a bit of a tear at the connection and the fact you picked up on it 🖤💕
The hair? I don't know I don't have many g3 dolls but I thought core Draculaura had weird hair, slighly oily. Some G1 dolls have glue seepage but this is another story! From what I heard Mattel does not use the evil glue to secure the hair but her hair does not look good for sure.
Hi Candy 🍬 🍬 Sorry you had an upset with your new Draculaura doll. She has saran hair which is usually soft and lovely but sometimes they have box hair and need a good wash. I use Mrs. Meyers rose hand soap or Dawn dish detergent to wash it out. I do wish they would stop using the tinsel. You can pull it out with tweezers. I use a metal pronged cat brush to brush all my dolls hair. The saran hair responds better to metal then plastic. You can also boil wash her hair which will take the curls out but it will be much smoother as long as you take out the tinsel. Tinsel doesn't respnd well to boil washes. Also they stopped putting glue in their heads in like 2016 i think any mattel doll younger than that you have to be careful with boil washing because it can make the glue seepage worse. I hope you end up loving her.She looks so much better since you washed her hair. I think she is really pretty 🥰🩷🖤
I need a metal brush for sure and thank you so much for the info after all the wonderful comments in this thread I feel like I know doll hair a bit better ❤️❤️
@@tinysoulwhispers4011 I learned this all on you tube after you brought back my Joy for dolls 🥰So of course i have to share everything i learned with you and others❤I really enjoy reading the comments 😊It is so nice to have a platform where we can all share what we have learned with each other. Thank you for being a Shining light for us 🤗🤗💕💕
Gorgeous doll mine was the same but gave her a boil wash and her hair is great, she really is so captivating with her face, gorgeous addition to your collection 🫶🥰❤
Wow that hair really was awful. It looks a lot better now that you washed & styled it. She's a beauty, but trouble! The first Draculara you got seems so trouble free by comparison. I'm really enjoying the new Monster High dolls as well, so I enjoyed watching this unboxing.
I think she’s gorgeous, but that hair is really annoying! I got two second hand Ever After High dolls and the hair was exactly the same as your Draculaura. I wonder what product they are using to cause it? Glad you love her in the end though! 😊❤❤
It’s gross to touch isn’t it. I’ve heard Blythe collectors talk about this too and B has commented in the comments saying just brush it till it’s gone and I know b collects blythes so perhaps that’s the answer ❤️
The stickiness is just gross hair product that Mattel and MGA seem to think is a good idea these days. The glue seepage issue should only affect dolls from ca 2008 to the late 2010s. In any case it takes much longer for it to take place. It’s a chemical breakdown of the glue and that’s why people are unanimously complaining about their ten year old dolls getting sticky now. I’ve found that oxiclean can work miracles on most gross and sticky things so if basic washing doesn’t help, give that a try
I absolutely love her. Those curves! REPRESENTATION! 😂❤ Now they need to make a middle aged line with drooping boobs! 😂😂😂 I have to admit, I do prefer the color split hair and the V bangs on your first one. Both are stunning though. I can't get enough of how thoughtfully these dolls are made.

thank you so much I think I will boil wash and take the tinsel out ❤️
No, it shouldn't be glue seepage. They fixed that years ago. Some saran hair just comes that way. Just a good wash should help that feeling.
Jackie thank you I’ve learnt so much about doll hair in this thread ❤️❤️
I think monster ball draculaura is quite a pretty doll. Her hair might need a boil wash it’s a good way to tame hair and make it shiner.
the hair has tinsel, which gets destroyed when boiled
I might have to sacrifice the tinsel but I feel im getting to grips with doll hair a lot in this thread so thanks for all the information ❤️

It was awful straight out of box I won’t lie ❤️
Maybe you can just wash it and use conditioner and see how it goes. It might help.

fantastic. did you have to get rid of the tinsel after the boil wash?
@@tinysoulwhispers4011 yes if you boil wash it you might lose it but my hair was worse than your honestly took me ages to sort but worth it
It's a hit or miss with the hair, I think it depends on the fibers they used or if it's from a different factory.
It certainly felt hit or miss. Thank you so much for watching ❤️

monster high dolls don’t usually use product
I haven't personally dealt with it yet on G3, but it can't be glue seepage, so I can imagine it's used on some lines.
great to know thank you ❤️❤️
