      ATTENTION ALL VEGANS: What she was referring to was the calculation on this site theconversation.com/ordering-the-vegetarian-meal-theres-more-animal-blood-on-your-hands-4659 but even that she got wrong, she said 25% when they say 25 times more deaths.
      But don't be fooled! That article dishonestly compares grains with beef in terms of PROTEIN, when the correct variable to compare would be CALORIES. Why single out protein? They could very well choose carbs instead but that story would be hugely advantageous to the plant side. It's simply dishonest.
      Check this study "Number of Animals Killed to Produce One Million Calories in Eight Food Categories" - www.animalvisuals.org/projects/data/1mc/
      The conclusion is:
      "The results of this estimation show that a diet that includes animal products will result in more animal deaths than a plant-based diet with the same number of calories. The production of chicken meat results in vastly more animal deaths than any other category of food. Based on this estimation, someone wanting to modify their eating habits in order to reduce animal suffering and death should start by removing chicken from their diet, then eggs. Although beef may cause more animal deaths than pork, pork probably causes more suffering, because most of the beef-related deaths are wild animals, and in comparison, a greater number of the pork-related deaths are factory farmed animals. The most animal suffering and death can be prevented by following a vegan diet."
      It's a lying, dying industry.

    I hate the argument around cows when farmers say "they lived a good life"
    Beef cattle are typically killed after 18months. Let's round up to 2 years for arguments sake.
    Natural life span of cows is about 20 years. 2 years out of 20 is 10% of their life span.
    Let's apply the same logic to humans.
    Natural life span of humans is about 80 years. 10% of that is 8 years old.
    If you heard on the news that an 8 year old died, would anyone in their right mind think to say "they lived a good life"? Absolutely not. We would be saying that they died so young, they had so much life ahead of them. It's a tragedy to have died at such a young age. So I will never accept that beef* cattle have "lived a good life" when they're typically slaughtered at 2 years old. Edit* spelling

But most people are kept under wage slavery and consumerism to make the rich richer, and we need to wake them up one by one and help nature to recover by supporting local communities and natural and healthy ways of living, and abolish greed and competition based selfish mentality and materialism. But those in power will not do that, so the weight is on our shoulders, on those who are seeing through the shitshow, we have to try ending it one way or another. James is doing great in waking people up, and we need to join him with stepping out of our comfort zones. Also we need degrowth economy and minimalism and meeting the basic needs of people and letting nature to recover, so each of these points should be communicated with the modern slaves with presenting facts and also forming emotional connections to those we are trying to protect.

      @@pranavpratheekmalleboyina4483 a “single slash to the throat” doesn’t guarantee instant death - the animal will still be struggling to survive (survival instincts), and it would also take them a while to bleed out. Humane slaughter doesn’t exist. The animal didn’t do anything to deserve death, nor did it ask to die. If capital punishment and euthanasia is illegal in most countries, then what justifies humans to do it to non-human animals?
      As for an OD - sleeping pills cost money. “Humane slaughter” has nothing humane about it. Slaughter houses often invest once in slaughter equipment and opt for the most cost-effective route. The only reason why it might appear costly is because they have to maintain “sanitary conditions” to a certain standard as they’re handling unfairly slaughtered animals for human consumption.

    the fact that people are still discussing this shows how far we are from understanding our own ego.
    When i say ego i don't mean the strict Freudian definition of ego or id. But that's a complicated subject all together i would advice anyone to go and watch (or listen to his podcasts) Leo Gura - Actualized.org
    at the age of 42 that's two years ago for me i switched over night to being 100% vegan. After watching "What the Healt" and "CowSpiracy" later this year i watched "Game changers" in the cinema (to promote them) and later that week on Netflix.. reading and researching the body of evidence out there once i woke up it was easy to see there was no other option. Doctors like "Dr. Greger" & "Dr. Neal Barnard" and many others have bin saying the same thing your saying James .. and like "Joey Carbstrong" your fight for animal rights has not gone unnoticed even here on the other side of the world.. btw my favorite speech on this subject is that of "Gary Yourofsky" here is a link of one the talks for those reading this. ruclips.net/video/es6U00LMmC4/видео.html

    I love how calm James stays and how carefully he speaks. The only "mistake" I feel he made was bringing up the environment when they were on the topic of health.

    Have you noticed all the big meat eaters start looking like the animals they've been eating ?

    • @corpsekresser243
      @corpsekresser243 4 года назад +1

      It kind of makes sense, since they are eating the hormones of those animals, so they're own human cells are receiving growth signals to become like those animals. We know it happens with IGF-1

    Great work, James. Such a complex topic is never giving the time necessary to shed light on the all facts and truth.

    Interesting how these debates always seem to require three meat eaters versus one vegan 🤔

    • @austinallen6419
      @austinallen6419 4 года назад

      They dont require it, its just that most vegans dont care what other people eat, but theres always the libtards who think they need to psuh veganism on people who are perfectly happy with their own diet.

    WoW JAMES!!! The amount of time you were given to speak was amazing!!! So many of these shows limit the vegans argument and just seeing the freedom you were given to speak is quite inspiring!! A plus to the host and the people producing this show!!!

      @@austinallen6419 I take a B12 supplement and so should everybody. More people than you know are deficient in B12. My dad, an omnivore, is also on one. Every omnivore living in my household has food that is fortified and supplemented with B12. It's not something any of us can just go out and eat from a food source.

    Omg and that woman says she watched “her” (as if she owns the right of ownership of a non human being) cow being slaughtered in a slaughterhouse and this builds relationship with food. Unbelievable the lack of respect with animals.... We have a long path to change this situation...
