I like the idea just looks like two pieces of foam fused or glued together then painted. I know I could just make my own for sure thanks for the good idea of these floats
Blane, thanks for the video. Just got on the website and ordered me a couple of packs of different colors. I only only fish two rods because I’m 67 years old don’t want to run around too much.😂 and I’m thinking about trying the single drop seems to work for you. I’ll put a different color on each rod see which one works out best I fish Flagler Beach East Coast, Florida but I do pretty good there.

Question here about the float hooks by SurfPro Tackle. Have you caught any bluefish on them and if so are they fraying or nicking line above the float hook?

blaine I am creative as heck, don' have a traditional pomp rig. maybe that's why ai am not catching. fish perdido st park 4 days aweek. but it seems to the place is a desert, fish wise. don't know what I am doing wrong

Could be your spot? Maybe how you are presenting bait? It took me a year to finally start catching on a regular basis.
I have been thinking right place ,right stuff, but wrong time. always been an early morning guy,but that hasn't worked for a while now. the few fish I have caught have been at long distance,and some times I wonder if I am over casting them. but shorter casts haven't helped. going to keep after it though. Hey outcast has all sizes and quantity of kahl hooks. owner and mustard. Thse float hooks will be awesome with some mid to latgre sizs kahls. much better gap
My buddy was killing them our last trip on them! I had the normal float/bead with the hook and it just wasn’t doing the trick. I do wish he used better hooks honestly. Eagle claws just don’t last imo

What’s your favorite surf rod for pompano? Length , brand, line weight, action ? Thanks
So many options. Think about this. What don’t you have? I always try to fill a void when buying a new setup.
Trying to find a rod to fish pompano/whiting but also use for surf fishing coho salmon on Great Lakes. 10-25 lb that can throw up to 4 ounce pyramid weights . 10 ft range. Just can’t seem to find many in this category or many reviews.
