I forgot that IROC had raced on road race courses a time or 2. This was a nice find. I like how the road coarse specialist got mentioned in the prerace but nobody had anticipated Smoke being a challenge. He sure could hold his own on road coarses.
Growing up with mostly just antenna TV this is the stuff i would dream of watching. My grandfather had speed but once he moved his pc downstairs that big projection tv stayed locked on GSN or NESN for Red Sox games.

Tony started in Indy car, though at that time they did not run many road courses.
About 27 times by my count. During most of IROC's history they held a road course race or two during each year's championship.
