No. Where are the mvs? Where are the promotions? Im sorry i mainly blame her team for this but come on. No shade and i say it with most respect but she aint no beyonce yet to just drop an album ala renaissance and CC WITHOUT aaaaanyyy visuals. We need something to push her to the general public so at the end of the day, her sales can be boosted. Come on now
Normani’s album is a solid debut full of smooth contemporary rnb. The late release could have killed her momentum. But I fully expect her album to pick up steam.
Regardless of anything I AM SO PROUD OF NORMANI!!!!! She waited until she was fully confident in herself as an artist to release a body of work that she believed in instead of forcing out cookie cutter run of the mill dime a dozen factory music. Each and every song you can tell was perfectly crafted and meticulously invested with effort and care. This album has been on repeat since last week, and much like SZA's SOS she should receive every nomination in the book for this gorgeous work of art that was well worth the wait! OMEGA LEVEL THREAT DETECTED!!!! ^_^
I’m sorry but this album was good. This album is a representation of who she is. Let her keep growing she’s gonna develop. At least she put out an album. I don’t care about the numbers.
What do you mean motivation was too big for her? The issue was that she promoted it like once or twice and then abandoned the song all together. Of course it wasn’t going to be bigger than it was.
Am in the only one that actually liked the album😭 because I actually liked every song except Take my time. Idk the album is great to me but she should’ve added more songs given the wait! At least 17 tracks hopefully there’s a deluxe
This is such an obnoxious why to frame a video - like be so serious, she’s just released her debut album days ago. We’ve barely even experienced the era or touring. Why are Black women also under such tremendous pressure and scrutiny for some arbitrary standards of perfection. Let this girl create in peace, listen or don’t! Her album is awesome by the way
You ask this question but please answer if you can why are there other black female artists who mostly keep their clothes on, have stronger voices and develop a smaller but more consistent following? The issue is that this girl belongs in a group. As a solo artist she has NOTHING new to say or share that we haven't seen before!!!!
@@mrp9507 and where are these girls in the mainstream hmm? I always find it funny when y’all resort to using respectability politics as if black women don’t get clowned on a daily basis in the music industry and like it doesn’t take years for them to become critically acclaimed and to be well respected in their respective genres.
Normani has a very loud social media fanbase that go radio silent when it’s time to purchase her music 😬 we need to have a conversation about fans who only support on the timeline and not with their dollars. You have to support the change you want to see otherwise you cant complain 🤷🏾♂️
Normani revived dance/choreography in mainstream music! That’s what she did. We can’t deny that. Every was gagged during her Love Lies performance. Motivation.. Wild Side. That was her appeal. That’s what drew me to her. At the time there weren’t many US artists doing choreography/performances like that. Her album was ok tbh… i was expecting more. But im sad she doesn’t have any music videos/performances out. That’s where she shines.
Unfortunately, in the time between those performances and now, artists like Tinashe, Chloe, Tyla, and Tate McRae have completely dominated the contemporary dance performance niche. Normani got outcompeted from the long wait.
@@james-l1tall those ppl u named And NOT 1 of them topped motivation OR wild side in terms of actual skill and wow factor. Normani already set the standard because the views and hype match the performances.
@@guccirobinson92 Tinashe is just as good at dancing, Normani was just bigger at the time motivation came out. She doesn't deserve to be dragged like this video. But sometimes it feels like y'all are setting her when you go out of your way to attack other artist especially other similar artist whose fans could become fans of her if y'all weren't so rude and lowkey delusional. Normani has one good album out and two 'iconic' music videos so far, that's it. The 'skill' in her visuals is copying as both of those videos are highly derivative of music videos from Aaliyah, Beyonce, Janet, Ciara etc. On the other hand Tinashe's originality has literally inspired a whole generation of Kpop copycats they are not the same. Tinashe also has 6 albums out not even counting her mix tapes and EPs and we didn't have to wait 6 years. Tate Mcrae has been making pop hits for years 10+ years. Stop comparing Normani to people who spent decades building a much deeper foundation and are being rewarded for their hard work.
@elijahtrenton8351 funny how ur telling me to stop comparing Normani to other artist when my response to the guy above me was JUST doing the same thing....Comparing Normani to those artists and I responded...but did you tell them the same thing?? No, exactly my point, ya pick and choose when it comes to Normani so anything you say is null and void because you told me to stop doing something that someone did BEFORE me and not one response was made to him to stop comparing. Ya literally expose yaselfs It's hilarious at this point, lmao
All due respect, even me don’t like much normani’s album, I’m a bit lost and confuse by your take on Normani’s album. You were also the same person in ur former video that Cassie was not innocent either…
No typically because people don’t let thing’s and people have a chance it’s to soon , thats another reason why the music industry miserably failing into itself, honestly y’all like quick eaters that never satisfied , cause y’all don’t take the time to take the time to enjoy anything anymore.
It really does feel like people want everything to be rushed. There's no slow pace anymore. Because we are so used to accessing music so fast most don't have patience to allow something to build up.
@@dannylinguist15 It was #3 on iTunes for days and stayed in the top 10 on Apple Music for days and is #2 on Apple Music worldwide for pop albums. So it’s not “flopping” entirely. @@sandrabirt2656 Yes but they are not. Which is ridiculous. There are so many fans of Normani saying that shes not "flopping" but guess what she is. I am not saying that shes not popular or anything she still got millions of streams when she dropped her album but it sold 12k, debuted 91 on billboard and stayed there for a week. Now if she released her album after her monster debut in 2019 with Motivation i think that she would had dominated the charts. I love Normani but her team mismanaged her so bad 😔
I’m watching this video two months after the fact. He was spot on with his critique. Based off the comments I know a lot of people love Normani and can’t hear the truth. The album flopped and we haven’t seen Normani promote it at all. I do think she’s talented and thought the album was ok. But the ship has sailed for her to be the next big superstar.
I don’t think overhyping was the issue. She got the hype she deserved because anytime you saw her she delivered. Her downfall was simply taking too long to release an album and the album having no hype behind it. She missed multiple marks to capitalize off of her hype and eventually people stopped checking. She deserved the hype. She captivated her audience and if she didn’t there would be discussions being had. Best move would be to release some visuals then a deluxe with all bangers. Try to real your audience back in. Do some performances too
Outside of the fact that the album isn't selling, what did he say that was wrong? Let new artists become big deals first instead of aggressively hyping them up to the point of delusion. Nobody has ever hyped up Sabrina Carpenter as the new Taylor Swift when she started, so now her stans can be smug about her success. Learn from it!
I say this and always will again people do not appreciate good music anymore. R&B music is not a popular music anymore. That is why. I will always be here for her and her music and I don’t care what anybody has to say.
HUH? Dopamine is a fantastic album and it has been doing well on Apple Music and iTunes. Especially all things considered. Having no music videos or performances or radio play or late night talk show interviews etc. I don’t understand the constant need to insult Normani and her career at every turn. It’s extremely weird. These think piece videos just attention. Like what do you get out of making these videos about her??

My first listen to Normani’s album I found it underwhelming but after stepping back from the thought of what I thought normani was going to sound like. my second listen was way more enjoyable enjoyable and I love the album it’s a Story work of art now she just needs the push and she can lead the whole the early 2000s rnb sound renaissance like dua and The Weeknd did with the disco pop sound.
it didnt fail miserably though... why dont you do this for any of the other fifth harmony members? normani deserved to be hyped up because of all the hatred she got for years and because shes very talented

how can you say her career failed with one album the way yall do this girl who doesn’t bother anybody is crazy. Her peers are doing 10 times worse than her but she’s always the punching bag. Man I hopes she surrounded by love ones every chance she gets.
you are so freaking wrong and rude boy bye normani made an amzing album she had so many raodbloacks and peopleroots for her not just for her race because she is a star and has God Given star power
How was he being rude? Because he spoke some real facts. If you continue to say your album is coming? No album drops? Then that’s on her team and I do take some of the blame with Normani too!.. I don’t think her album is amazing it’s good but not great!.. it’s a solid album!..
This was a wild review. She’s a chill artist and have a certain respect for herself that she doesn’t have to talk so nasty. She’s more of an early brandy and aayilah type singer.
@@singstreetcar5881in that same interview she said "thanks for the compliment but, I want to be the next me." Like I said y'all comparing her. Try again sir
Reasons why Normani's career has flopped... 1) She doesn't have her own voice or distinct style. What IS the Normani sound? Could you recognize her vocally on a new song un-prompted? 2) She doesn't have a good ear. Mariah the Scientist was writing for her and offered her 2 You and Aura and she passed on those two hits that made Mariah's career 3) She appears and dances on other musicians video's or award shows but is she a dancer or singer? 4) She doesn't write songs - no emotional connection to her own music 5) She doesn't appear to be that smart lto keep her finger on the pulse of where music is going or should be going like Madonna was or Mariah or Aaliyah or SZA or Jhene Aiko or even Arianna Grande
The Mariah the scientist thing is a lie, her and Mariah were both showed a beat and it was only the 2 you beat, normani didn’t like the beat so she let Mariah have it she never wrote for her
@@pxnklean8637 I never said she wrote it for her specifically, .Mariah offered her the beat and chorus - The song wasn't finished yet. Normani was'nt feeling it - which tells me she wants to be a music star but dosn't have a musical bone in her body.
@@maxdondada you said Mariah was writing for her, trust me I’m a huge MTS fan I’ve seen the interviews, a producer made the beat and they were both at a camp the only thing normani passed on was the 2 you beat, nothing was on it so MTS took it and instead Normani went another route with Fair
@@pxnklean8637 I think we're debating semantics, she had a melody and the beat yet she passed. I want Normani to succeed but she makes poor decisions about her music. Do you agree?
12k no mv no live performances no vinyls no nothing, and since sales are so low it will probably not gonna have any of that because what label would invest on something that people are not tuning in to begin with
I don’t like this take because even tho I’m disappointed with Normani … to say that she was overhyped like she didn’t bring back major dance videos, major performances, and amazing video like wildside is crazy Her hype was there cause we saw all the potential… she just didn’t execute it well You tryna make ppl regret there initial hype for her … Normani is definitely very very talented I don’t like this take
I think this album was great. I do get hyping people up can be dangerous, but I truly feel like overtime more people will like it❤ this generation doesn't appreciate growth when it comes to music tbh. Everything doesn't have to be an instant success
This was definitely for views lol; and some of your points are sound but you’re very biased for something that hasn’t been out for maybe a week yet… If you wanted to make a video about over hyping artists, you should’ve just made that video, not use Normani as a scapegoat. All in all, bro, I hope she proves you and everyone who feels this way (enough to make a video 🌚) wrong.
People weren't hyping Normani out of nowhere. She had more or less a sizable fanbase because she literally, as you said, came from a GROUP that saw a wave of success at one point. And mind you, she was in that group for SIX years. People saw her talent. People saw her potential. People knew what she was capable of. Aren't you the same person who made a video about the "death" of the pop star in recent times? In many people's eyes, Normani was a return to form. A callback to the pop star of before. Exactly why so many people were excited for and anticipating her debut. Also, it's actually so disingenuous of you to insinuate that her fans were elevating her to the same status as Beyoncé or Janet, especially since her fanbase acknowledges that those two are some of her biggest inspirations. The same fanbase where the majority are--news flash--also fans of Beyoncé and Janet! Those "comparisons" were not born out of a desire to deify her or to regard her as better than the legends. These are fans simply doing fan things and supporting the people that they admire. It just so happens they're a fan of all three. It's as simple as that. I also want to point out that for someone who criticizes her a lot throughout this video, you sure do leave out key parts that explain why her career has even gotten to this point in the first place. She's been so open about her struggles with her former management (who was also recently revealed to have been abusive) and label, her parents' (yes, plural) cancer diagnoses in 2020 and 2021, her overall disposition about releasing an album considering her less-than-stellar experience in the group (where she was also racially abused hence her general absence from social media), a literal pandemic, and so on. Granted, we can agree that she may have not played the cards she was dealt with in the best way that she could've. She didn't capitalize on the hype, lost her momentum, and alienated a core group of supporters. Hell, I'm sure that she, too, acknowledges all of this. But it's quite unfair to expect that from her given just how much she has had to go through in the six years this album took to create. The least we can give this girl is empathy. In fact, the true test will be how she manages to bounce back from all of this. And given that the album literally just came out (and it hasn't even been a week!), I say that after 6 years of waiting, I'm pretty sure we can spare her just a little more time. I promise you, it won't hurt. Not gonna talk about your review because people can have different opinions about the music. My only suggestion would be to maybe give it another listen or two. Or better yet... maybe buy new audio equipment? But when it comes to the rest (aka everything I've discussed prior), sorry, I can't let that slide.
First, I commend Normani for putting the well-being of her parents before her career. Second, her album hasn't even bee out a week. Third, Candy Paint debuted at #3. Lastly, the overwhelming reviews by AUTHENTIC music critics have been positive. You needn't blow out someone else's candle for your light to shine.
She's not flopping she's doing well it's the start dude 🙄 when ure used to see million of stream from other popular artists and compare them to normali first album Calm down
i swear some of u gay men and ur weird issue with normani is disgusting. you overlook that normani’s parents had cancer bc she didn’t release on ur timeline. there’s NO downfall, she’s reintroducing herself to the public and put out a stellar record.
Very interesting perspective; I wasn't sure where you were going with this initially but by the end of it I could see where you were coming from with the utmost clarity. I think your thoughts also go hand in hand with the "tiktok artist curse", where sometimes having one viral song, without first building the foundations of how you want to be remembered as an artist nor solidifying your brand and sound before all of the noise starts flooding in, can really be detrimental to one's reputation in the long run. And in this industry, one's reputation is literally their artist CV. All of this to say: I truly love and respect Normani's work, and I assume (by the effort you put into articulating your thoughts for this video) that you have been following her career closely as well. Let's keep supporting her and sending her nothing but love --even if it's in the form of constructive criticism-- and flowers, at the very least; she has been fighting this battle with the industry for a long time, and I genuinely respect her for never giving up. Have a good day!
You're absolutely right about the fans overhyping Normani. Ever since they called her the "next Beyoncé", I knew she was doomed from the start. And of course, these same "fans" are in here defending her like she's their blood. It's weird Stan culture + projection from these fans that makes it hard for other people to support artists. You're not even allowed to speak the truth about her album being boring, repetitive and not having replay value (just to her core fans) without them attacking you. Her core fans may love the album because she can do no wrong in their eyes, but they're not the ones she should pander to if she wants to be successful. Beyoncé and Rihanna make music that transcends to a lot of different cultures/genres. Sza was able to have amazing success with an r&B album because she built off her MOMENTUM. Timing is everything in this industry. Normani prob feels like she is on Beyoncé and Rihanna's level because she thinks she can take off years and not grind hard like they did. Rihanna literally hustled putting album after album out from 2005-2016. Then she went on her hiatus. Rihanna kept building off her MOMENTUM. That's wtf you do as an artist. Normani had to have come out with an album full of classics to regain popularity and success. But no, she came out with a dull ass album and literally fizzled out. No one is checking for this except her few core fans. Her fans and celebrities jumping on the "Normani is a legend" bandwagon, made her feel like she doesn't have to put in as much work. Sorry but she needs to start hustling otherwise she's going to be left behind.
You said it all and tbh everyone was hyping her out of pity and too look good in the blm era, thats the truth the girl never had it like that she doesnt have the charisma, vocal ability , beauty or x factor of beyonce, Literally most peoole were hyping her for brownie points and normani and her delulu fanbase are so cluesse they actually believe the hype
I'm confused why people are so mad at his truth. I agree with him on most of his take on her career and debut album. She's very talented and I think it's a waste of time not releasing thie earlier. People acting like she's the new girl on the block, she's been around for 10 years and solo for 6. She had alot of time to nail this, 6 years to be exact and this was the best she could do? The album has flopped. All this "give the album time", albums peak within their first week. He was fair and honest, too bad her fans are too triggered to see if for what it is.
I agree with you about people hyping and comparing her to Beyoncé and Janet. That’s damaging to her music career because it puts pressure on her as a new artist coming out of a girl group and trying to go solo. Normani just need to keep putting out music until she gets a hit on her own without features.
idk man this album is solid i really liked it, it’s gonna be so interesting to see her grow and evolve. Maybe the rollout was a bit messy but in the end the album rlly overshadows that so it doesn’t even matter much 🤷🏿♀️
I thought this was a perfectly executed video; people are so starved for actual GOOD music, they try and make mediocre artists into icons. also, PS- I bought Britney's first album the day it came out and have felt the SAME way for the last 25 years.
I enjoy the album. It’s gives 90’s to early 2000’s r&b vibes, however I was shocked when I heard no noise for her album and it just dropped digitally with no physicals available… sometimes labels don’t release physical albums because 1. The album wasn’t finished until days before release or 2. The label doesn’t have faith the album will sell numbers so they only release a digital version. I streamed and bought the album… however I do feel bad for Normani as this debut does come across as an L because people have been begging for this album for years and then literal crickets when it dropped… ugh. Go stream it, it or stream brat. Idk. Idc.
i like your optimism towards the end of the video, i can see and understand your points of her being overhyped and needing more substance in the era as a whole. i believe she can still rise from this and become a bigger artist
@@sirensvibes222 I meant overall in her discography dumbass. I know what billion means love. The album got 200 million with wild side but overall she was over 3 billion streams
Hmm I understand your point but to me it still doesn’t make no sense bc the hype that she got in 2018-2019 has only caused more damage and backlash to her career the more mainstream she got the more those Beyoncé, Janet Jackson, Rihanna comparisons became negative people took the positive comparisons for her and flipped it negatively, not realizing those comparisons were more so based on the potential she had and not actually saying she was next artist she was compared to. I feel when you talk about someone who is overhyped or overrated you should definitely leave out the opinions of fans and stans bc honestly that’s their job low key, they are suppose to overhype and overrate their favorite artists, rather it’s deserving or not, that’s the point of even if they are critical and objective overrated and overhyped arguments should be geared towards outside of the fandom, from the media, general public and music industry. Also you seems to leave out a lot of information surrounding why she was inconsistent she has stated that it was a mixture of a lot of things not only her not being confident in herself but bc of her parents cancer diagnosis and her ex manager haulting her from dropping more consistent music not to mention are we not seeing that this is a pattern with RCA records on how they done other female artists like tinashe, sza, flo milli and Victoria Monet? Like is that left out? Also I respect Normani for actually taking the time to actually put artist development to the forefront of her career she could’ve not done no music or not focus on her craft and just live off of her money or she could’ve got caught up in her hype and start releasing low quality singles/music to keep folks satisfied I find it odd how that’s completely not recognized, idk I just find this video and other similar opinions just off to me, how you guys leave important info and context to what’s been going on with her for the last 6 years just to paint a particular narrative over your personal POV/feelings towards her and that is wherein lies the problem for me.
I respect your opinion and I understand your opinions on her being overhyped however it the fact that we haven’t gotten a black pop/r&b artist in a long time and normani the talent is there and we see it so need a push. Now have she tribute anything different to the music I’ll say no in my opinion. On to the album…I didn’t like it either and I’m happy for her that she album is out however I won’t say she sounded horrible on the album…she sounded okay and normani was never much of a stronger singer she’s a cute one so I wasn’t expecting High production when it came to vocals. The sound of the album wasn’t for me either and the songs on the albums was ehhh.
That fact that she decided to do Lo-fi Rnb was her BIGGEST mistake . There’s a lot of smaller artists doing that these days , it’s nothing special . And her sales numbers for this album proves it
Her fans are sensitive and call every criticism she receives black woman bashing they over hyper because they want to see her achieve Beyoncé, Nikki or Rihanna status something we have yet to seen a dark skin woman achieve, but she needs to be willing to put in the work! to be in that place and it seem like she just not
None of them women you named are more talented than Normani. Beyoncé sings loud and that’s it! Rihanna not the best singer or dancer but has good production. Nicki can’t make a hit but her fans love her because they’re just as mean and evil as she is. Her fans are full of mean girls (guys included)…plastics…just like Barbie.
mmm even you are overhyping her bro its a debut as you said I think its not a master piece but is a really strong concept album, she delivers and you really feel like you get to know her a little bit more anyway no doubt the album is a BOP but my question is where the F are the music videos, this is the shiniest promo I´ve ever seen like even Tinashe has better promo and she is independent I don´t know /:
Geez! You guys complain about when her album is coming out, now she has finally released one you guys are still complaining. You people are never happy.
😂 I wish people like you were my Boss, so I could do the same sh*t for 7 yrs just like Normani until finally putting out a complete project in 2024 and NOT get fired.
The album JUST CAME OUT. it’s a good album. Y’all so obsessed tryna humble this girl like gah damn. I can’t even take the video seriously cause of this bias ass take. Using her name for views is crazy.
I appreciate the album, it's really enjoyable, but the rollout and promotion was sloppy with no videos, or major interviews and such. Kinda lacking for an album debut. She failed to drop visuals and more when Candy Paint was getting hype. And I hope she does a tour to promote it like mini venues and such.
the album isn't as bad as you make it sound, ur being a bit harsh. rollout of the album is/was terrible. that I'll point out. but the project itself isn't bad and it's only been out a few days. it def could've done better in sales/streams if the rollout was executed well (promos, ads, performances, music videos, interviews, late night show appearances, etc). let's cut the girl some slack, she'll be fine. she's a beautiful & talented woman overall. and you saying sza and summer walker can't sing... bffr 😑
Honestly, things happen. There's a lot that went on behind the scenes that Normani talked about like issues with her former manager (Brandon Silverstein), her parents being sick, and her not having enough time to grow and find herself as a person. I think the main issue is people forget these artists are humans and not dolls and not every single one of them is gonna come out the gate being super perfect with a bunch of #1s on the charts. Putting out a first album usually takes lots of time. I think she'll be okay, she needs time to develop and grow. Sometimes you win some and other times you lose some. (random but, It's funny how everyone seems to forget she absolutely hates motivation and cried when it dropped and yet everyone keeps wanting her to put out more songs like it. It's not even in her top 5 songs honestly)
She spent most of her time being a shadow in fifth harmony ofc she's not going to be completely ready yet and that's fine! But I genuinely think she's finally coming out of her shell. Sorry for the long comment.
It’s hard to deny that the album reception has been divisive, but I really hope Normani takes this album cycle to reflect and seriously consider how to improve in the next one. I know she’s had a history of not listening to feedback (eg unfollowing/blocking creators that criticized the delay), but I hope this comes to be a good wake up call.
Nah, see THATS exactly the 'overhyping' this guy was talking about. Taylor Swift writes AND produces 70% of her records just like Alicia Keys. I don't like Taylor's music @ all.... but it's just facts. Just Love Normani for who she is and stop throwing her in bigger waters she can't swim in. This kinda hype actually hurts her, so stop.
I’m sorry bro I disagree. I just listened to Billie just because of this video and no sir it was a snooze fest. I would rate it even lower. I been having Normani on repeat so that’s definitely opinion. For me though I give Normani a good 7.5 so that’s right in the same range.

Normani’s album is a solid debut full of smooth contemporary rnb. The late release could have killed her momentum. But I fully expect her album to pick up steam.
I hope!.. There are nice moments on it!.. It’s better In Pieces by Chloe. I think Chloe is talented but she just needs to find her sound

Normani revived dance/choreography in mainstream music! That’s what she did. We can’t deny that. Every was gagged during her Love Lies performance. Motivation.. Wild Side. That was her appeal. That’s what drew me to her. At the time there weren’t many US artists doing choreography/performances like that. Her album was ok tbh… i was expecting more. But im sad she doesn’t have any music videos/performances out. That’s where she shines.

Reasons why Normani's career has flopped...
1) She doesn't have her own voice or distinct style. What IS the Normani sound? Could you recognize her vocally on a new song un-prompted?
2) She doesn't have a good ear. Mariah the Scientist was writing for her and offered her 2 You and Aura and she passed on those two hits that made Mariah's career
3) She appears and dances on other musicians video's or award shows but is she a dancer or singer?
4) She doesn't write songs - no emotional connection to her own music
5) She doesn't appear to be that smart lto keep her finger on the pulse of where music is going or should be going like Madonna was or Mariah or Aaliyah or SZA or Jhene Aiko or even Arianna Grande
The Mariah the scientist thing is a lie, her and Mariah were both showed a beat and it was only the 2 you beat, normani didn’t like the beat so she let Mariah have it she never wrote for her

This was definitely for views lol; and some of your points are sound but you’re very biased for something that hasn’t been out for maybe a week yet…
If you wanted to make a video about over hyping artists, you should’ve just made that video, not use Normani as a scapegoat.
All in all, bro, I hope she proves you and everyone who feels this way (enough to make a video 🌚) wrong.
What did he say in the video? Based off of the title I don’t want to give him my view because I’m assuming it’s going to be extremely negative
Normani will always remain relevant and her music proves that 💗
People weren't hyping Normani out of nowhere.

Exactly
You said it all and tbh everyone was hyping her out of pity and too look good in the blm era, thats the truth the girl never had it like that she doesnt have the charisma, vocal ability , beauty or x factor of beyonce,

I agree with you about people hyping and comparing her to Beyoncé and Janet. Normani just need to keep putting out music until she gets a hit on her own without features.

Idk. Idc.
Her album streaming is doing well actually.
Number 92, a miserable flop
Girl I know you lying
i like your optimism towards the end of the video, i can see and understand your points of her being overhyped and needing more substance in the era as a whole. i believe she can still rise from this and become a bigger artist
Exactly what he is saying is being demonstrated in the comments section.
Love the album, don't care bout nothing else. Normani started.
She got over a billion streams baby she is good
She didn’t 😭 y’all not even know what a billion means, she got it by adding the cardi collab 😂
@@sirensvibes222 I meant overall in her discography dumbass. I know what billion means love. The album got 200 million with wild side but overall she was over 3 billion streams
Motivation is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 and so is Dopamine 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
And her sales numbers for this album proves it
This album was amazing. This video is wild.
This album is fantastic, I respect your opinion. However disagree completely with your criticism. It’s not valid constructive. Go Mani!
Love me some Normani. Haters gonna hate
She’s a great artist!
Yeah, I know right. People ain’t happy, they complain where is her album. Now she released it, they complaining.
I totally agree, the people or the fans cry about. Where is her album now she did, they still not happy and still complaining.
Omg already! She just started her career wtf!! 😂😂😂
😂 I wish people like you were my Boss, so I could do the same sh*t for 7 yrs just like Normani until finally putting out a complete project in 2024 and NOT get fired.
@kevinsbiscuitsnjelly8193 How long does it take to an artist to blow up?
I disagree with you . I think you say these things because it sounds good. Normani can sing she doesn’t hit high notes but her voice is beautiful.
And I hope she does a tour to promote it like mini venues and such.
the album isn't as bad as you make it sound, ur being a bit harsh. rollout of the album is/was terrible. that I'll point out. but the project itself isn't bad and it's only been out a few days. it def could've done better in sales/streams if the rollout was executed well (promos, ads, performances, music videos, interviews, late night show appearances, etc). let's cut the girl some slack, she'll be fine. she's a beautiful & talented woman overall. and you saying sza and summer walker can't sing... bffr 😑
I honestly agree motivation didn’t hit how it should have but it’s a classic ..: it’s sad 😢
I thought her debut album is pretty lit tbh. I like her style
Its a good album but we expected so much more as far as bangers and experimental.
She had one chance!
now why would you call 5H mid
It’s hard to deny that the album reception has been divisive, but I really hope Normani takes this album cycle to reflect and seriously consider how to improve in the next one. I know she’s had a history of not listening to feedback (eg unfollowing/blocking creators that criticized the delay), but I hope this comes to be a good wake up call.
Sounds like you don't like Normani lol. She is way more talented than Taylor Swift. There's a difference between overhype and simple honesty.
This kinda hype actually hurts her, so stop.
um her fans the nation we support her
Videos like this are so cruel to me. Idk. I didn’t even wanna click on it and give it a view
I’m sorry bro I disagree. I just listened to Billie just because of this video and no sir it was a snooze fest. I would rate it even lower. I been having Normani on repeat so that’s definitely opinion. For me though I give Normani a good 7.5 so that’s right in the same range.
Numbers numbers numbers on the rigged charts is all y'all use to validate a great career but the real numbers is the bank book. Normani is art. Real hair, real body, face card 🔥, elite talent, rich elite bf🥰 and got 244M for her catalog before the album drop. Not a MV in sight. No radio or live performance. Boss @ss old school move. Y'all favs could neva😂 Let the work speak for itself 💯 let that woman live her life! She don't bother noooobody!
Leave her alone
She lost the momentum, she should have released 1 year after Fifth Harmony ended, better to release a basic album then then like 7 years later when no one cares.
