Even if the PDA had found something wrong with ANY farmers products; confiscating the farm would be illegal. The PDA should normally give a report that corrections must be made and then follow up with another inspection.

I am a commercial fisherman who had federal agents ask my neighbor if they could go on his property to spy on me. I have had them follow me and raid a business as soon as i unloaded my fish. That business owner said he won't do business with me anymore because of the pressure from law enforcement for dealing with small operators. What are we coming to?

FYI it's illegal to harvest fresh rainwater in several states. My Grandmother had a rain barrel and watered her vegetables with the collected rainwater. Best ever produce, she also used fish for fertilizer. Even her pansies and geraniums thrived all summer. Hard to believe there are laws forbidding collecting rain.

I’m so upset about this! This needs to stop now! We buy from the Amish we have never gotten sick and we shop several Amish farms on the days we shop. We used to have a dairy farm and this angers me. I wish I had Amish neighbors but in WA state? Maybe in eastern WA but.... I do buy meat direct from the ranchers here and grow a lot of veggies. Donate some to the local food bank. But I SO wish I had Amish neighbors. Mostly I read Amish style books. I love their attitudes and simplicity of life!
Another key fact -- where is his farm located? What does it border? Is this a way for the state to get that land that they want to use for something else?
It's in the middle of amish country - I think the biggest issue is that there is a SUCCESSFUL farmer PAVING THE WAY FOR OTHER FARMERS to sell natural, HEALING food to the public - THAT THE GOVERNMENT CAN'T REGULATE. It's definitely not about food safety, it's about control. 😢

I live in York County Pa. It’s the county west of Lancaster and I think the county government wants to seize the property. Building a few hundred houses and collect property and school tax from a few hundred residents. Yes folks,, we here in Pa. pay school tax as well as property tax.

Yes, I lived there for 30 years up until a couple years ago. I shopped at his wonderful store! Now my friend works there, or he was while it was open. And none of us can believe what’s going on and what they’re doing to him. It’s an absolute insanity and they should all be thrown in jail! Not Amos, the people taking him to court and taking his home and store! Something needs to be done about it.
