As an Australian, I was both astonished and amazed to hear an Aussie rock classic played on traditional Asian instruments. UnFrigginBelievable... well done !!!
As a fan of her's myself it made me search out other outstanding asian talents. Look up on RUclips "Jingxuan Smooth Criminal". A song by Michael Jackson played on a traditional chinese instrument. The girl playing it can't hold a candle to Nini's beauty but the playing (like Nini) is phenomenal.
This never gets old !!! Thunderstruck !!!! So many different cultures , so many different instruments, so many different styles, it's the most international song ever !!!! , I LOVE IT !!!!
What's really impressive is just how well Thunderstruck lays on the sanxian. Actually, the extent to which so much metal and hard rock lays so well on traditional Chinese instruments has always amazed me. It really highligihts the universality of music.
@@GamerFromJump Speaking to the choir, my friend. I’m a sound engineer as well as a software engineer and my wife has a MFA in performance from CalArt. Though I will add that there’s a heck of a lot of blues in rock and metal, as well. Aerosmith is one of the best blues bands I’ve heard, Sabbath was a blue band, Clapton has said every song he’s done is a blues number if you know what to listen to. And then don’t even get me started on all the head bangers that are obviously classically trained. The way my wife puts it, a) they want to make money, and b) metal is really the venue today where they can create and use that skill.
Okay, this man's gold hakamas (his pants) are incredible. I have never seen like pure golden hakamas like those before. I didn't know they were a thing that could even exist. The music is also phenomenal, I am just trapped in awe of those pants.
Amazing cover, once again! Really cool seeing you two jam out like this. I'll be rocking out in the audience to this, very hard! Love you NiNi, NiNi Army Unite ✌️🤘💥✨💜
I love this new video on two different levels. First is the reimagining of popular music on traditional folk instruments. The arrangement is excellent and very enjoyable. The second is giving me the opportunity to see and hear the distinctions of the sanxian and shamisen paired together. I've watched the video a few times and will come back to it for reference. Excellent! Well done.
The combo of a big, tall man with the high sounds matches incredibly well with the small, graceful woman with the darker tones... So awesome!!! Perfectly balanced in audio and visuals. I looooove this video!
Nini it is often I see somebody who is extremely talented and beautiful with dragon fire burning so bright you and you will make this happen step by step on your own path. Never put up with somebody saying you can't do that when you know you can also never lose that little mischief child within you because that's where the fun heights Brant
Iam Australian, and was a teenager in the 70s, so I grew up with AC/DC as one of my favourite bands. This is the best cover I have seen of Thunderstuck. Wow!
I love hearing these old favs of mine in exciting and beautiful new ways. It doesnt take away from the original , yet adds a new previously unknown telling of the same musically stories. Thank you for sharing this publically ❤
AC/DC is one of my favorite bands (I'm 76 and love all classic rock). I've been listening to different performers from various countries. I watched/listened to an 8 year old Japanese girl, Yokoka play the drums of Thunder Struck. Now I listened and watched your performance. It was excellent and the bonus of an oriental flair. Cheers, Bob (Syracuse, New York)
😁 Hi NiNi, Hey everybody! 👋 This is great, Thank You both!!!! I think it’s so interesting to watch the contrast between your recorded videos and your smiling, bubbly personality on all your Livestreams! 🤣 Blessing’s from Far Away 🙏🏻🫰!!!
A japanese shamisen and a chinese sanxian from which it derived playing thunderstruck together. Never would I have thought to hear this harmony, kudos!
I googled Nini music totally accidentally. And I’m just so in love with your music. I listen to Longma and Homeland every day and slowly delving deeper. Thank you for being amazing
IN Regarding the previous song that I commented on, I didn't have time to add that the entire audiovisual message was wonderful, this one is a great song that proves that the cover is a new quality. Ci😇😎👹👍👍👍
youtube algorithm recommended it to me. i'm glad it did, it's such a cool cover. subscribed. thank you and greetings from the black forest, germany 👏👏👏
This and the 2 cellios versions of thunderstruck are the two most unique and best thunderstruck covers. Malcom young would be smiling from above. Well done. Japanese art and culture is amazing. Lol you guys can even make calligraphy an interesting art form.
Es increible la cantidad de versiones culturales que existe del tema Thunderstruck, todas ellas increibles y es que no paran de sorprenderme como este video. De todo corazón felicito a los intérpretes.
It's awesome to hear the tsugaru shamisen versus the Chinese equivalent of the sanshin! The tones are so different and somehow really work with ACDC. Awesome work!
Thanks to my patreon members for funding this video! Listen/Download the song here: ninimusic.bandcamp.com/track/thunderstruck-feat-zuiko

Come to Brazil, Nini 🥰
Can you please do Stay With Me by in flames, I will join your patron if you will
"Their" music
Please do For whom the bell tolls by Metallica I saw it in Blue eyes samurai it would sound awesome
Now imagine adding something like buddhists chanting into the mix for some choir effect. This was great.

The power of melody is what does it.
Rock and metal are just classical with electricity.
