I so love reading this. Rob is my old roommate and my ex-wife and I both went to school with him. We are exactly the same way. All 3 of our children were listening to MB 20 in the womb lol. Our first born went backstage, to his first concert, at 18 months old. Last night, I saw them with my 22 year old daughter, and it just gets more amazing every single time.

I got to see Matchbox 20 in concert on their Slow Dream Tour this summer! They are Amazing Live! I’m a longtime fan. Ever since I heard The Real World in 1997 as a 5th Grader. Matchbox 20 makes fantastic music! I absolutely love them!
So worth the wait! This album might be there best work. I don't want to sound like a crazy obsessed fan, but damn I love Matchbox Twenty! They are my all-time favorite. So many of their songs throughout the years hit sooooo deep. I was fortunate to see them in concert in OKC back in 1996 and I'll be seeing them again tonight at the Zoo Amp! Their second show in OKC was cancelled days after 9/11. Since, they had to cancel THREE more times due to covid. Needless to say, tonight's show should be EPIC!!

The album I didn’t know I needed when what I thought was the love of my life blindsided me with divorce filing right after major surgery and right before my 40th birthday this summer.
It may not be the best album but I think it's good overall and agree about North. I was hoping there would be some bonus tracks to this album like North had
@seanschlater7384 Nothing is ever going to equal "Yourself or Someone Like You" because you can never go back to the first time you heard the band, and the music they made when it was all new. But I think North, and this album, capture some of the old magic, with updated themes as we've all gotten older. New Matchbox is better than no Matchbox. People are just negative Nellies in my opinion lol.
