Welcome to this elementary Mandarin class. I am Sisi Laoshi.
Some verbs or adjectives can be used after a verb to add remarks about the result of an action. They are called complements of result.
    看见 kànjiàn: to see
    听懂 tīngdǒng: (listen then) understand
    听到 tīngdào: to hear
    找到 zhǎodào: to find
    做完 zuòwán: to finish
    吃完 chīwán: finish eating
    做好 zuòhǎo: do well
    准备好 zhǔnbèi hǎo: prepare well
    写错 xiěcuò: write (something) incorrectly
    记错 jìcuò: remember (something) incorrectly
Result complements form verbal compounds that behave exactly the same as normal verbs.
    了always appears with result complements.
我写错汉字了。Wǒ xiěcuò hànzi le. I wrote the wrong Chinese character.
弟弟找到工作了。Dìdi zhǎodào gōngzuò le. My brother has found a job.
没/没有 is added before the verb to form the negative form of a complement of result. 了cannot appear at the end of the sentence
我没准备好明天的考试。Wǒ méoyǒu zhǔnbèi hǎo míngtiān de kǎoshì. I didn’t prepare well for tomorrow’s exam.
To form a question (了) 没有 is often added in the end of the sentence
你看见我的女朋友没有? Nǐ kànjiàn wǒde nǚ péngyou méiyǒu?Did you see my girlfriend?

THE PAIRING OF VERBS FOR "THOUGHT COMPLETION": absolutely AMAZING!
But VERY CHARACTERISTIC of the Chinese language that "insists" on PRECISION.
The English language is AT THE VERY OPPOSITE OF THE LINGUISTIC SPECTRUM
giving rise to AMBIGUITY + DOUBLE ENTENDRES.
    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_entendre
It's for THIS REASON that French became THE LANGUAGE OF DIPLOMACY due
    to its Germanic precision.
THANKS TO YOU, I'm MORE IN LOVE WITH CHINESE than ever! (Ha! Ha!)

The cursor cursor will change to text
    The index
Transformation-click at the beginning of the text
    You want to identify. Then
Transformation-click at the end of the text for you
    You want to identify.
Then copy-paste the selected text into a program

Thank you teacher , i really appreciate your work and efforts , but Could you tell me why do we need result compliment if we have 过 in chinese ,

    • @SisiMandarin
      @SisiMandarin  Год назад

      You are welcome.
When you use result complements in a sentence, it means this action has completed - as you have got the result of the action.
      if you want to express this action has been completed - use 了;
if you want to express you have such an experience in the past, - use 过 in the sentence.

the same meaning as a verb. both means "to study"
but 学习 can also used as a noun
