    Thanks for the video!
    I'm doing the same thing as you, brought home my 80X and I'm familiarizing myself with it.
    I haven't gone to the range with it yet.
    Just took it down tonight, and got stuck with that lever bit.
    It snapped right into place with a push on the barrel from my finger.
    Thanks again!

    Searched for re-assembly instructions for my 80X as I ran into the same problem you did, and found your video. Worked! Thank you sir. P.s. "snapping" the barrel in place helped immensely, as well as pushing the barrel back w/ the rest of the assembly.

      @@papajoeknows8355 I just mounted a Holosun Red Dot on this 80X w/ blue thread locker, and now I have a dead firing pin. The pin appears to be flush where the hammer would strike the back of the firing pin. Did thread locker seep in where this red dot is mounted and lock up the firing pin? I was VERY careful about not having any drips to the side of the frame, but I can not see what took place underneath the red dot. Any ideas as to what might have happened?

    Not only is this reassembly procedure not in the owner's manual, there is not owner's manual included in the box with the gun! You have to go online to download it from the internet. Hardly what I would consider a "premium" feature of this firearm!

    Its strange that there is not a manual with the gun, explaining the difference in reassembly from earlier models. Had a 81BB next to this 80X and was not able to turn back the assembly lever as it would not move at all. Finally had to check if somebody else had this problem and solved it. Actually like the 81BB reassebly method better, so wonder why they did this change: pressing the barrel on a board to turn the assembly lever!

    question, would it not be possible to lock the slide back using the slide stop and then push the lever to the locked position? works for my 92XP (yes, different gun, but the system doesn't look all that dissimilar)

    Thanks Joe, Good to know as I may be buying one, but I have one concern. It seems some people are having a dead trigger issue. A guy on Reddit and I think somewhere else I seen it. I'm hoping Beretta will address it soon. Have you heard anything about this ?

    • @papajoeknows8355
      @papajoeknows8355  10 месяцев назад +2

      Yes, I did see someone have that problem in a video. I’ve not experienced it, but I’ve only run about 100 rounds. Something to be aware of if you’re thinking of getting one… there is NO cocked & locked with this gun, and I’ve seen some reviewers with big channels saying that there is. Here’s a quick vid I did about it just so you’re aware:

    Hi Joe, a friend brought that same pistol over to my farmhouse to shoot and man, I'd never own one of those, as the dang thing made my hand bleed when that humpty part on top came flying back and clipped my hand, and I was watching for it too as I've fired tons of pistols, and, too many parts to it also I noticed. I want a clint eastwood 44 magnum.😅 2:47
